The next day, while the circus caravan was moving slowly headed to their next village, Mark went to the elven sister's caravan.   He introduced himself again to the elven sisters and the sisters, named Eilintraee, Solinae, and Mentorra asked what he needed.

“I would like to commission you on something about my caravan. I would like some sort of silence spell so that nobody could hear any noise from inside my caravan, but I could hear outside. Is that possible?”

“Yes, that is just a simple one-way Silence Rune spell. I can do a temporary one or a permanent one that would gather mana from the environment for power. Of course, the permanent one would be much costlier. It would be 5 gold coins for the temporary one that would last for a month and 100 gold coins for the permanent one.”  Solinae said while Eilintraee and Mentorra looked on. Suddenly Eilintraee added a condition.

“We would only install it if you let us know why you would like to install something like a one-way Silence Rune.”

“Would you agree to a trade instead? When we stop for the night, please come to my caravan, and take a look inside so you will know why I wanted the rune, and you could choose any one of my items inside.  Mind you, my items are incredibly unique and valuable.”

“Alright, let's meet tonight to conclude our business deal.”   The sisters smiled and Mark was captivated again by their beauty. He wondered if they had something like a charm spell going on.

Mark went back to his caravan and joined Nedertu on the coach seat. During lunchtime, the caravan kept on moving since it was slow enough that they could eat without any problem. Hamil invited Mark for lunch through his son Toby, but he declined and said that he would probably join them at dinner time.

Mark saw that Nedertu had taken some hard bread from somewhere. He stopped his coach and said that he would provide the food and should wait first. He went inside the caravan and replicated a huge pizza on a box and a liter of cola. He brought the pizza outside and the cola together with a couple of mugs.

Nedertu was curious about the box that Mark brought and when he showed the pizza, he asked what it was. He told his coach that it was bread filled with cheese, meat and vegetables, and tomato sauce. Nedertu's eyes went big when he bit on a pizza slice. It was as if a revelation was given to him by someone he worshiped. He kept saying that it was the most delicious food that he had ever eaten.

Mark offered a mug full of soda and Nedertu declined saying that he couldn’t drink liquor while driving. He mentioned to his coach that it was not alcohol. Nedertu was surprised by the sweetness of the cola and drank the whole mug. He belched and looked at Mark with embarrassment.

Mark ate a couple more slices and the rest of the pizza was devoured by Nedertu. His coach thanked him and said again that it was the most delicious food that he had ever eaten. Mark knew that Nedertu was just exaggerating since he knew that the available food in this world was delicious as well from what he had tasted so far. Although the spices were few, Mark thought that it could be because of the location. It was also one of his goals to taste the different food available in this new world. Luckily, he would be able to safely travel amidst the circus caravan.

When night arrived, Mark went to Hamil’s caravan first to inform him that he would not be joining him for dinner since the elven sister would be coming to his caravan and he would serve them food.  Hamil nodded, aware of what business Mark was going to talk to the elven sisters.

Mark went back to his caravan and prepared some food. He didn’t know if the elven sisters were carnivores like everyone else or if they just ate vegetables just like the books and movies. To be safe, he prepared vegan meals. He replicated a Caesar salad from one of the famous restaurants that he went to. He also prepared a super vegetable soup from that same restaurant and then a plate full of different fruits and berries.

When he heard a knock, he opened his caravan door and invited the elven sisters in.  He seated them on the chairs that he prepared.

“I didn’t know what type of food you eat but based on some of the books I’ve read, elven people only eat vegetables.   So I only prepared vegetable-based food. Is that okay? Mark asked while he prepared the food in front of the sisters. The elven sisters laughed.

“We actually are not picky and would eat anything available to stave off hunger although, to be honest, we do prefer vegetables. We do eat meat though but what you prepared looked delicious.”  Mentorra said while smiling.

Mark introduced the meals to the sisters, explaining what the Caesar salad and the vegetable soup were. He also offered them grape wine. The group then started eating and the elven sisters praised Mark on how delicious the meal was.

After dinner, Mark showed a 2002 Shakespeare film starring Colin Firth and Reese Witherspoon called The Importance of Being Ernest. It was one of his favorite films since it was also one of his mother’s favorite movies and the setting was probably safe enough to be shown to medieval people.   The elven sisters couldn’t take their eyes away from the wide-screen T.V. and when the movie ended, the sisters clapped.

“What sorcery is this?”  Solinae asked.

“The device you’re looking at is called a television. It was from my homeland and the play that you’ve seen is called a movie.”

“It’s superb! Instead of a play, I felt like I was watching the real life of the people inside the box!”

Mark then introduced the devices inside his caravan. The refrigerator, laptop, induction cooker, microwave, portable air conditioner, heater, electric lights, and generator.
