[Khamisah point of view]
Another hectic day yesterday. My responsibilities continue to grow. I was once considered the strongest in the entire continent, but, I am sure as I grow older, those glorious days are long behind me, and yet I still find myself in the middle of helping Amleth and its ever growing list of problems.
While Amleth has been blessed with a multitude of races working together and striving for harmony, it also has its fair share of problems. From the constant threat of the Empire, to the Illumination lurking in the shadows, to several factions that hate the fact that we live together in harmony. Still, this is where I grew up, this is where I live, and this will be the place I choose to die, one day.
"Wow! You read without being told. Will the world end tomorrow?" [Nar]
"Shut up Nar" [Dana]
"Wow! You don't end your sentence with stupid. Will the Devil King rise tomorrow?" [Sas]
"Shut up, stupid Sas!" [Dana]
"Wow! You look beautiful as usual! I'm sure you'll get more love letters and then get married... and then leave me behind... No! I don't want that!" [Diana]
"LOVE LETTER!?" [Nar, Sas]
It's a rare day off when neither the guild, the orphanage, nor Amleth call me for anything. I smile at the sight of my four younger siblings, but I can't help but be a little jealous of them all. They are closed to Diana, and while Diana loves to cuddle with me from time to time, I can't help but feel left out. Nar, Sas and Dana all had a day to spend alone with Diana, but I never had one. Maybe I should spend some time with her.
"Diana, would you like to go out with me today?" [Khamisah]
"Go out with you? Sure!" [Diana]
Hearing that, she gets excited as she quickly gets ready without being told. It seems like Dana wanted to follow as well, but I told her to just continue with her new hobbies. She's been through hardship after hardship and for her to finally go to school, make friends and even find hobbies is something I couldn't be more grateful for. In fact, I've heard that she's joined two clubs, a reading club and a cooking club, and speaking of cooking, why don't I show Diana how to cook with wild ingredients? Yes, I'm sure it would be fun and educational for her as well.
"You're not thinking of killing some random monster and cooking it with Diana, are you?" [Nar, Sas, Dana]
"As a matter of fact, I did." [Khamisah]
"DON'T!!!" [Nar, Sas, Dana]
I'm sure they're just exaggerating, in fact they survived better in the wilderness thanks to my guidance, and I'm sure Diana will have even more fun with her fairy blessings.
With that, Diana and I first went to the Adventure Guild, where Diana waved to everyone as we entered. She has become something of a guild mascot because everyone loves her. The whole guild, including Akela herself, seems to adore her.
Let me see. This one monster that hasn't been taken care of. It seems good. A mutated Mandragora that seems to be fused with a spider. It's a new species that was discovered, and the scientists and researchers wanted us to find out more information about it. I'm sure it can be used in a number of ways, but I heard that Mandragora itself is almost extinct. Capturing and preserving it should be our top priority.
"You're not thinking of capturing this and cooking it with Diana, are you?" [Randy, Kat, Alice]
"Maybe just a taste." [Khamisah]
"DON'T!" [Randy, Kat, Alice]
Diana, however, seems excited and even wants to taste it.
"We might as well catch some more monsters and cook them! These deer monsters are running around! I bet it tastes delicious, too" [Diana].
"Oh! Now you're talking about my specialty. Very well, I will show you how you can actually use every part of it to make a very tasty broth" [Khamisah].
"Really! Let's go, go, go!" [Diana]
"Oh Goddess..." [Alice]
The two of us quickly went to the location marked in the quest. With her fairy blessing, it didn't take long for her to find what we were looking for.
(I'm sure her blessing is even more powerful than Amleth's, so is it possible that one day she will free Ophelia? Amleth has kept her in stasis ever since, and now maybe Ophelia can finally...) [Khamisah]
"Get Spider Mandragora!" [Diana]
"Get Ghastly Deer!" [Khamisah]
"I want to cook it! Let us cook it now!" [Diana]
"Well, we find more than what the... Are you talking to the Mandragora?" [Khamisah]
"I am. I thought it was a monster, but I'm surprised I can communicate with it so easily" [Diana].
"Did it ask to be spared?" [Khamisah]
"That's right. I feel bad. They've been hunted to near extinction, and all they wanted to do was live in peace... I know! I can ask the Hanging Treant and Calypso for help. They're trying to turn the dungeon into a safe haven" [Diana].
"Hmm? This is the first I heard of it. Would you mind telling me more?" [Khamisah]
"Opps... But... You have to get permission from them first!" [Diana]
"I see. Very well" [Khamisah]
This should be interesting. I wonder what they are planning behind my back, but for now
"Let's cook the deer first" [Khamisah]
"Yes! I can't wait to eat it!" [Diana]
