The dungeon is only four floors deep, and with the plan to increase the depth, both the difficulty and the reward are available. The doll told me that a dungeon can grow naturally over time, but it can also shrink over time if it doesn't get enough food. Of course, the dungeon doesn't eat or drink like us, nor like plants, but it gets it essential from other outsiders.
Back then during my time in Emas, I learned that dungeon is a way for the planet to recycle it's mana, so the area lacking or excess of it can be regulated properly, but, with the intervention of the dungeon boss, it's possible that a dungeon can exceed this capacity and become even more "powerful", hence why I'm helping the doll today.
Making the dungeon bigger and more powerful is beneficial for all of us. For the doll, it means her home is safer and she can get more "food". For Hanging Treant, it can speed up her growth as she tries her best to become a World Tree, and with that, new fairies will be born. For Calypso, it's both. For me, it's the ally I'll get one day to defeat the Devil King. Even for Amleth, it will boost the economy as adventurers, mercenaries, and those who just want to get rich from the dungeon will flock to Amleth. For Guild Master Akela, the more adventurers she can get to settle in Amleth, the better.
