The Magic Department. It's rare that I don't like a place, but this is one of them. I hate the Minister because he's always mean to me. I don't think I've ever had a good time with him or that fat guy from the Defense Ministry.
And that's not all! The mages hate me because I can actually beat them at magic! Yes, I'm sure they're great because they're officially employed by the kingdom, so they don't have to prove their worthiness. I just beat them because they're mean, especially to Sas! Of course, neither side goes all out, but I'm sure I beat them. They look defeated then, and they've been mean to me ever since.
Then there's the researcher of the department. They're nice. They're different from the worker and the mage in that they're driven purely by research. They spend countless hours, day and night, weekdays and weekends, perfecting their research. From improving the ink for the magic circle to researching how to make a better spell, they're undoubtedly geniuses at what they do.
"Research subject!"
"Are you finally willing to donate your body and time to the improvement of magic!"
"Your hair! Just give us a sample!"

"You guys never give up, do you..." [Sas]
"Stop bothering our little sister!" [Nar]
"We're not bothering you..."
"You are! You're being creepy!" [Diana]

"We have the hard to get cake from the famous cake house"

"Then for me, just a strand of hair! Just a hair!"

"I'm glad you're good at saying no." (I guess her blessing and my reminder warn her.) [Merlin]
We have several places we will go to research. Master Merlin's humble hut in the forest or your own home in Amleth. Our own house has a special place for research. This place in the Magic Department is also one of them. It's rented to Special Knights of Amleth, so Nar and Sas can take full advantage of it.
Today we are here to improve the Magic Motion Orb. There's my idea to record everything so that other people can see it later at their convenience, and then there was Asterion's idea to just transmit the sound, both of which are something that need multiple tools and specialization, hence why we decided to use this place today.
"Sound wave... How about I use wind magic stone to transmit it... But wouldn't space magic stone be better... No... How about combining the two... No... Should I use Earth then? Maybe..." [Einstein]
"Ahh! That weird guy is already here!" [Diana]
"I just see the world differently! Stop calling me weird!" [Einstein]
"How about that time you licked the poisonous mushrooms because you said their color was a bit strange" [Diana].
"How else are you going to prove that licking them doesn't cause poisoning?" [Einstein]
"How about the time you literally get hit by thunder just so you can power up that big machine?" [Diana]
"That's the perfect time! What, I have to wait for a perfect conductor goddess who knows when to arrive?" [Einstein]
(This actually saved the Magic Department some money, but he was hospitalized and scolded by Dr. Natasha afterwards...) [Nar]
"Can't you wait, though... I still remember you kissing that machine after you were discharged and saying it's your daughter". [Diana]
"Can't you appreciate how great that machine was?" [Einstein]
As I put on my protective suit, we begin to discuss how to improve the Magic Motion Orb. By we, I mean they, because I have almost no idea what they're saying. I can understand the gist of it, which is still beyond my level, but seeing their eyes burn with passion makes me feel the same. Our discussion attracts the other explorers as they join us.
"Then I need to find a mana stone or a monster with wind and space mana... Hmm... How about I ask Alice after!" [Diana]
"We can order it from the merchant guild."
"And wait for who knows how long?" [Einstein]
"You really have almost no patience"
"Tell that to the guy who went to Emas just to get a certain bolt!" [Einstein]
They become noisy again, comparing research notes and methods. Even Nar and Sas become noisy and join in. As for Master Merlin, she just laughs and does her own work. Once they wanted to test something
"Alright! So I just have to use wind magic here... Leave it to me!" [Diana]
I may not be useful in discussing the theory behind it, but I'm glad to be of use here. They say that they just wanted to see how the wind magic would respond, if the sound could be transmitted between the two more effectively, but I am also tweaking the magic here and there. The magic circle they use transmits the magic in a straight line, but I make an arc of wind magic because I thought that once this Magic Motion Orb is outside, an arc is better because it doesn't hit any object.
