Chapter 78

I'm sure I have a big raccoon eye right now. It doesn't hurt like it did at first, but it still stings. I wonder if it will be permanent? Will I be known as Raccoon Lady in the future? Will it get bigger? I hope not.

If this raccoon eye does not go away, I will seriously beat that guy from Aru Village. I plan to do that even if this raccoon eye isn't here, but now I'm going to torture him and make him experience all the hell available on earth.

So far, from what I can tell after being knocked out, the strong looking guy with THE THING is definitely out of my league. I'm sure he doesn't know that I have a blessing from the Fairy Spring, but I have to be extra careful. I have to hide my blessing so he doesn't find out. I'm sure if it weren't for THE THING, I would have won in a one-on-one fight. To beat him, I need someone strong on my side, at least someone like Kat, but the only strong person here, besides the slaves who are all skinny and have despair in their eyes, is Marianne's brother, and Marianne's brother isn't that strong.

The next person I have to watch out for is the guy from Aru Village. I'm sure he's strong, but I can still beat him. I'm sure my magic will prevail in a fight against him, especially since he clearly underestimates me. If I wanted to kill him, I would have to create a perfect opportunity, a perfect first strike, right at his neck and head if possible, and finish it all in one go.

The others are just minions. I can tell that they're equipped with a weapon from the auction. Strange weapons indeed. Some are claymores imbued with curses. Others are a giant's claw imbued with firestone. There's even a sword that can be used as an arrow. I'm not sure how they can handle these weapons, but judging by Marianne's brother's reaction, it's the weapon itself that's the problem, not the wielder, so I'm confident that I won't be defeated by them.

I don't know where we're going, but I have to act fast. My hands are tied with an anti-mana bracelet that will electrocute and burn me if I use any kind of spell. I don't think getting electrocuted or burned by this high quality bracelet is a big problem as I can just speed up my recovery with the fairy spring, the problem is it will alert the others and once they are alerted I'm sure another session of merciless beating will ensure.

So far we're in a carriage and I'm sure we're already outside the wall because the birds are all chirping. I'm sure they haven't stopped for a break yet, as a baby slave's poo and pee are all over the floor of this carriage. The mother apologizes profusely to all of us while crying, which is heartbreaking to see.

(I can escape alone, but... Should I? Of course not! I wouldn't!) "Hang on, I'll save us all" [Diana].

"Big talk. Do you have a plan?" [Marianne's brother]

"Making one" [Diana]

To get help, I can just ask the trees, flowers, and animals here for help. It's the easiest way. Of course, I can talk to them without using any mana, which will make the elves jealous. But to do that, I have to get out of here, even for a moment. That's all I need. Once I do that, the forest will be my ally

"I just need a moment to talk to the forest. That's all I need. Any idea how?" [Diana]

"Are you serious?" (She's from the village of Aru, I'm sure she knows a spell or two to talk to trees and animals) [Marianne's brother].

He looks like he's ready to trust me, because he's racked his brain thinking of something, and when he does, he just kicks me out of the carriage, cursing me with all his might. I was a little upset because my dress was covered in mud when he kicked me out. The bad guys beat him up for his misbehavior, and some of them come to drag me back.

(Mr. Worm, Mr. Tree, Mr. Beetle, Mr. and Mrs. Ant, and Mrs. Butterfly, listen, I need you to keep an eye on me. I am being kidnapped. Please also tell the Hanging Treant. If possible, tell the witch who goes by the name of Merlin as well.) [Diana]

(This is terrible!) [Beetle]

(I'll tell the Hanging Treant right away.) [Tree]

(I'm an upcoming queen for my hive, I'm sure the other bees can find me through my pheromone, so let me go with you) [Bee]

(Thank you! All of you!) [Diana]

A success! One of the bees rests in my head and follows me inside the carriage. I can hear the sound of the forest actively trying to help me. The squirrels follow the carriage from afar. The trees telling each other where I am. The birds are talking to each other, asking if anyone knows Master Merlin. Even the flower is trying its best to contact the Hanging Treant.

"The forest is getting restless"

An elven slave's comment makes the other one curious. I just tell them to keep it a secret, and they all just nod. There's some hope in their eyes, but it's still clouded with despair.

"So you can really talk to them. Here I doubt you" [Marianne's brother].

"At least tell me first, you idiot" [Diana]

"To fool an enemy, you must first fool an ally" [Marianne's brother].

"I doubt it. I'm sure you're just taking your anger out on me" [Diana].

"Killing two birds with one stone isn't so bad" [Marianne's Brother]

If it weren't for the fact that we are all in a dangerous situation, I would definitely throw a spell or two at him. I will make sure his head goes bald the next time I have the opportunity. For now, I just have to wait.
