Chapter 86

Behemoth on the rampage. Monsters trying to take us all for our flesh. The bad guy on the loose. The strong looking guy and the guy from the Aru village currently fighting Nar and Sas. I can tell that the situation is bad, but I can't tell which side needs my attention first. While I wanted to defeat the rude, ugly guy from Aru Village, I'm not sure that's the best thing to do.

Nar and Sas are holding them well at the moment. At least they're not getting hit, unlike me. It's kind of hard for me to intervene.

"Diana, if you really want to help, just support me first. Save your energy for later" [Jean].

"Don't you need to see the wounded?" [Diana]

"Their condition is stabilizing. It'll be better for me to go to the front" [Jean]

"You won't try to stop me?" [Diana]

"I know better than to say no to you. Rather, it will be best if I can supervise you from my side. Remember though, just support, I don't want you to start killing the monster while your condition is not at its best" [Jean].

"Boo... But alright. I'll do my best to support you" [Diana]

I feel like a pet cat of a high-ranking noble being carried by its owner, and that owner is Jean. I have seen this cat being strapped into the noble's body with a strange looking thing, while the cat is looking excitedly left and right. Honestly, that's what I feel now.

Taking my wand to my side, I begin to cast a spell to aid Jean and myself. I just noticed the modification that Master Smith Brokkr made to my wand. The large magic stone that Sea Diamond Snake gave me really fits well with my wand. It is heavier, that's for sure, and the other slot are filled with dummies of similar weight, so the weight balance will be well maintained. The blacksmith also fulfills my request not to tamper with other symbols like the flowers and the symbol of my friendship with Kara, Mara and Neloufa. Overall, I can say that this is a powerful upgrade to my wand.

Since the thunderstorm shows no signs of stopping, and since my wand is strengthened by a powerful water stone, I cast a spell on everyone.

"Water be our ally! Imbue the sword, the spear, the arrow, the weapon and the armor of us! Make this thunderstorm an advantage for us and a disadvantage for our enemies. Water friend!" [Diana]

My wand glows brightly with the color of pure water. One by one, those who come to our aid will receive a powerful boost. Their weapons will now be imbued with water mana. For those who have already imbued their weapon with their own mana or aura, the spell Water Friend of Mine will simply enhance it further. The water armor that protects them will dampen any weapon attempts to harm them, as the water armor instinctively protects the area that's about to be hit.

(Hmm... I have tapped into the power of Fairy Queen Titania before, as well as the Fire Fairy during my trip with Auntie Amleth, so how about trying the Water Fairy?) [Diana]

I took a deep breath and tried to concentrate, which was difficult since I was trying to run and catch up with the ever agile Jean. The moment I stop for a moment and try to concentrate, Jean begins to lift me up like the cat I imagine, breaking my concentration... How can I concentrate? Maybe I should run and sit on the branches of the Hanging Treant? No... The Hanging Treant seems to have trouble subduing the behemoth, so let's not do that.

Alright... Since this is difficult, and since the thunderstorm is still there and doesn't show any signs of stopping, how about I use Fairy Queen Titania's power on the thunderstorm... Ohh... Right... This will be scary.

(What's she planning with that evil grin of hers...) [Jean]

Since I've used the power of Fairy Queen Titania before, it's much easier and requires less concentration. I raise my right hand with the wand in it as high as I can. Concentrate. Imagine. Imagine that you are powering every drop of rain with the power of Fairy Queen Titania. Imagine that those tiny drops, when they hit my enemies, will cause them unimaginable horror. They will drown. Their nose, their mouth, their lungs, the rain will only target them as the water slowly fills their bodies. Their stomachs will burst from the enormous amount of rainwater they will swallow. They will drown. They will drop their weapon. They will seek help even from their enemies.

"What the..." [Savel]

"Diana... You really are a powerful mirage user..." [Linda]

"Again... Just like with the Chimera..." [Kat]

"I'll maintain the spell! Please, beat them up for me!" [Diana]

"Kill the monsters, and as for the merchant, the trader, and the other bad guy, knock them unconscious and tie them up!" [Jean]

"RIGHT!"

The monsters and the bad guys, they're all in an illusion, they think they're drowning. Some with their hand on their neck, as if they were gasping for air. Some with their hand in the sky, trying to swim away, reaching for the surface. Some are beating their stomachs, even cutting their intestines to let the excess water out. Whatever they're imagining, it's given us all the advantage we need, yet...

"The behemoth, the strong-looking guy, and the guy from Aru Village are unaffected. I'm impressed..." [Diana]

What should I do next?
