In the aftermath of the world's collapse, where chaos reigns and monsters roam freely, Yi Yook-Ok's evolution becomes a testament to survival. Since the cataclysmic shift, she's undergone a remarkable transformation, her once ordinary physique now a marvel of strength and resilience.

In this altered world, Yi Yook-Ok's body has adapted, constantly evolving to meet the harsh demands of the new reality. Muscles ripple beneath her skin, honed and strengthened through necessity. Her once-limited capabilities have expanded, granting her abilities far beyond the ordinary.

Her heightened physical prowess allows her to effortlessly bear the weight of Oh Jaejin upon her shoulders, his frail form finding an unexpected sanctuary in her arms. She moves with a fluid grace, a testament to the newfound power coursing through her veins.

Yi Yook-Ok trudges forward, Oh Jaejin securely cradled in a fireman's carry. A sudden thought interrupts their hurried escape.

"If it's possible, I want to carry you in a more romantic way, like a bridal carry..." she ventures, her voice a mixture of determination and something softer.

Oh Jaejin's gaze flickers, his senses attuned to the surroundings. "Left, then right... Good. We need to retreat," he advises, his tone urgent as he relies on his magical senses to steer them clear of lurking dangers.

"Are we going to leave the school? How about the others?" Yi Yook-Ok questions, concern evident in her voice.

He hesitates, a bitter tinge in his words. "We can't bring them with us. You saw what that monster can do. They'll be slaughtered anyways."

The weight of his words hangs heavy between them, Yi Yook-Ok is speechless, grappling for a response. She understands the danger they faced—the capabilities of the hobgoblin they encountered.

As they navigate the desolate landscape, Yi Yook-Ok's thoughts linger on the others left behind—the lone teacher and fellow students trapped within the school. A weight settles in her chest as she envisions the impending danger they face.

"I feel bad about them," she admits, a mixture of guilt and worry evident in her voice.

Oh Jaejin, still perceptive to her thoughts, responds with remorse, "I know, and I am sorry for them."

Yi Yook-Ok contemplates the dire situation. "Besides the magic power, that monster also seems to be capable of martial arts, though I find the way he moves his daggers a bit weird. Jay, it will be really a slaughter. The others will be helpless, and they won't have any fighting chance."

“I know,” Oh Jaejin hums softly, "As I said, I am sorry for them."

His acknowledgment brings a solemn understanding. "I know. I will be with you all the way in," she pledges.

Jaejin, thoughtful, suggests a daring plan. "Thank you. That's why I think we should at least give them the fighting chance they need. Let's kill the trolls."

Yi Yook-Ok's eyes briefly sparkle with a glimmer of hope, but she swiftly reins in the emotion. "Are you sure? Aren't our chances too bleak with just us alone?" she questions, a subtle undercurrent of doubt in her words.

Oh Jaejin, determined, issues directions. "Right, get down the stairs, and then the left hallway. We'll discuss strategy at the principal's office," his mind already racing with plans on how to confront the trolls.

"Okidoki!" Yi Yook-Ok responds, following Oh Jaejin's instructions as she heads toward the principal's office, her movements swift and purposeful.

As they navigate the school's desolate corridors, Oh Jaejin reassures her, "We should be able to do it, after all, you are now able to wield magic power. Aren't you?"

"Yeah, I am able to somehow use it after the encounter with the hobgoblin," she confirms, a newfound determination in her voice as they prepare to face the looming threat of the trolls.

Oh Jaejin and Yi Yook-Ok lower themselves onto their chairs, their eyes meeting in a silent acknowledgment of the chaotic reality surrounding them. The room is a disarray of overturned furniture, bloody mosaics, and entrails strewn about. The remnants of the principal's office bear witness to the gruesome aftermath of the initial apocalypse.

In the beginning, this room served as a refuge, a gathering point for students and teachers seeking safety. However, the refuge had turned into a grisly scene, a testament to the merciless onslaught of monsters that left nothing but blood-soaked chaos in their wake.

The air in the room carries the lingering scent of death, a constant reminder of the brutality that unfolded within its walls. Yet, Oh Jaejin and Yi Yook-Ok sit unaffected, their expressions stoic. Over time, they've grown accustomed to the macabre surroundings. The putrid smell is a small price to pay compared to the horrors they've faced.

Goblins, in their twisted grotesqueness, emit an odor far more repugnant than the room's morbid stench. Thus, the current state of the principal's office, though gruesome, is tolerable for the two survivors.

Oh Jaejin, sitting across from Yi Yook-Ok, begins strategizing for the impending battle. "Your spear has a fire attribute. That should be enough to hinder their regeneration ability. I want you, Yuki, to deliver the killing blow if possible. I will unleash the strongest fire magic I am capable of. That will definitely enrage them."

Yi Yook-Ok nods, determination in her eyes, but expresses concern. "I will do it, but I am not fire-proof."

Oh Jaejin reassures her, "I am training my precision a lot, and I think it is possible," as he summons flames in his hands, holding Yi Yook-Ok's hand to demonstrate. Surprisingly, the flames do not burn.

"It is not hot," she observes, surprised by the unexpected lack of heat.

Jaejin explains, "Remember that one time my magic accidentally grazed you? I made it so that my magic won't hurt you from now on. To be frank, though, I am limited with just fire on this No Friendly Fire Magic."

"This isn't even precision; this is amazing, Jay!" Yi Yook-Ok exclaims, her excitement turning into a hug.

Jaejin, embarrassed by the sudden display of affection, tries to lighten the mood. "Wait, wait... Can you please laugh at my joke first? No Friendly Fire Magic?"

Yi Yook-Ok grins, offering a playful retort, "If anything, shouldn't it be called Friendly Fire Magic?" The two share a peal of laughter.

The couple faces a formidable sight: four towering trolls, each standing at an imposing two meters in height. Despite the absence of other monsters in the vicinity, it's a chilling realization—they stand alone because even the monsters avoid the trolls. These creatures are notorious for their insatiable hunger, devouring anything with blood coursing through their veins, including their own kind.

The trolls' formidable presence is accentuated by their dark gray skin and small, menacing eyes. Their round, bulging bellies hint at their voracious appetites, reminiscent of grotesque obesity. Wide jaws bristle with rows of sharp teeth, a testament to their predatory nature.

Yi Yook-Ok positions herself strategically behind Oh Jaejin, her stance poised but ready to spring into action if needed. In this deadly confrontation, she entrusts her partner with the lead, knowing the intensity of their foe and the importance of Oh Jaejin's planned strategy.

The trolls unleash guttural roars of glee, their anticipation evident as they face Oh Jaejin and Yi Yook-Ok. Oh Jaejin takes a deep breath, centering himself on the impending battle. "I will be using my every magic power! Have some of this, you monsters!" he declares, channeling powerful emotions as he summons an orb of searing flames between his palms. With a concentrated effort, he compresses the fiery energy, and with a burst of blinding light, he unleashes a torrent of fire, a flamethrower resembling the breath of a dragon.

Maybe it is a fortunate coincidence, because of the too much heat, combined with the bulk of the trolls and their naturally slow movement, they can no longer move from where they stand as their skin melts with the concrete ground.

The trolls, caught in the inferno, cry out in fury as the intense flames engulf them. Yet, despite the ferocity of Oh Jaejin's attack, the trolls remain surprisingly resilient, their monstrous forms still standing tall. Their cries echo through the air, a testament to their enduring strength in the face of the fiery onslaught. The battle has only just begun, and the couple must now confront the seemingly indestructible trolls with a renewed sense of determination.

The fiery torrent continues unabated, Oh Jaejin pouring his magical prowess into the flames for 5 seconds, 8 seconds, and then a grueling 12 seconds until finally, after 15 seconds straight, his magic power is depleted. Gasping for air, he finds himself on one knee, the flames still lingering but remaining under the control of his exhausted mind.

"Huff… Puff…" he breathes heavily, his haggard state evident. "I leave it to you," he conveys to Yi Yook-Ok, determined to maintain his control over the lingering flames.

Yi Yook-Ok steps forward, brandishing her spear with a resolute expression. The trolls, paralyzed by the crippling pain, stand charred and silent, each one bearing the marks of their fiery encounter.

"Leave it to me," she affirms, her confidence unwavering as she approaches one of the immobilized trolls. Surrounded by the flames, she remains untouched by their scorching heat. With swift precision, she runs toward a paralyzed troll and declares, "Die!" In a single, decisive motion, she decapitates the troll, ending its charred existence.

The remaining trolls, consumed by rage, unleash thunderous roars that echo through the battlefield. Yi Yook-Ok remains steadfast as one of the trolls lunges toward her, its hand reaching out. Without faltering, she channels the flames within her spear, swiftly cutting through the troll's palm. The immense loss of vitality causes the troll's hand to disintegrate into ash, but Yi Yook-Ok presses on, beheading another troll with determined precision, leaving only two remaining.

However, in a shocking turn, one of the trolls, driven by indignant fury, proceeds to devour its kin, the latter offering no resistance. A grotesque transformation takes place, and the troll evolves into a two-headed monstrosity, its demeanor more menacing than ever.

Yi Yook-Ok's expression tightens with concern as the newly evolved troll breathes fire towards them. Reacting swiftly, Oh Jaejin lunges at her, encasing them both in solid earth for protection. "Stay close to me. The troll has access to magic power now," he warns, a tinge of despair coloring his face.

Faced with this dire situation, Oh Jaejin's mind races for a solution. He contemplates the odds stacked against them and makes a difficult decision—to override his magic, casting whatever he can, even if it risks damaging his own mind. It's a drastic measure, but in this fight for survival, it might be their only hope to overcome the overwhelming threat before them.
