The trolls, vile creatures with a gluttonous appetite, possess the disturbing ability to reproduce asexually. A nightmarish process unfolds when they consume enough victims – the trolls clone themselves, akin to the regeneration of starfish. The very thought of this grotesque reproduction sends shivers down the spine.

Oh Jaejin, haunted by the memories of witnessing the trolls devouring his friends, classmates, and teachers, recalls the gruesome sight. The recollection paints a vivid image in his mind, a chilling reminder of the relentless horror that has befallen their once familiar world.

Yi Yook-Ok turns to Oh Jaejin with a questioning look, "What do you think, Jay? What are our chances against the trolls?"

Oh Jaejin contemplates the situation, "Not yet, I think. We can deal with one, but not all four of them at the same time."

Frustration tinges Yi Yook-Ok's voice as she adds, "If only we can lure them one by one, but these trolls are stubbornly herding."

"Yeah, it is annoying," Oh Jaejin acknowledges, the trolls clearly a threat that they need to subjugate at some point if they wish to secure the school as their base finally.

Oh Jaejin, deep in thought, strains to formulate a strategy as he mentally recalls the map of the entire school. The dire situation prompts him to consider various scenarios and potential escape routes. Alongside Yi Yook-Ok, they take it upon themselves to aid their fellow classmates, the remnants of survivors scattered throughout the school. Delivering food whenever possible, the duo strives to provide support in the face of the monstrous threat.

With plenty of students seeking refuge in different corners of the school, hiding and trying to eke out survival, Oh Jaejin and Yi Yook-Ok decide to move to a new hiding spot. As they arrive at a different classroom, they are confronted by a lone hobgoblin. Reacting swiftly, Yi Yook-Ok dispatches the creature with ease, her newly acquired magic weapon proving to be a valuable asset in their fight for survival.

Oh Jaejin sits comfortably in a chair, his contemplative expression revealing the weight of the situation. "I wish there were easier ways to do this," he muses, acknowledging the complexity of their predicament.

Yi Yook-Ok, while wandering around the classroom, checks the bags scattered about. "If only the others can just stop being stubborn," she remarks, expressing her frustration. "If we just bolster our numbers, we can increase our chances..."

Oh Jaejin interjects, "And I will have to rely on you in that regard. I theorize that this 'magic power' I use is not unique to me. It just happens that I awakened it first. If you are able to awaken your magic power, then we will have a better fighting chance. And with you as the basis, maybe we can teach a method for others to use." The prospect of expanding their capabilities through the awakening of magic power offers a glimmer of hope amidst the grim circumstances.

Yi Yook-Ok praises Oh Jaejin, "Yeah, you are always so smart, Jay!" Excitement fills her voice as she discovers eight snack bars. "Nice!" She unwraps one and starts eating. She tosses one to Oh Jaejin.

However, Oh Jaejin appears concerned. "Nah, please don’t. I don’t like our current model… We fight and fight until you feel something. I don’t want to put you in more danger, but…" He receives a snack bar from Yi Yook-Ok, but he tosses it back. "I am not hungry."

Undeterred, Yi Yook-Ok insists, "I will be fine." She grabs a bag, empties it, and places the snack bars inside. Collecting a couple of mineral water bottles, she adds them to the bag. "It is like playing a game. Every time I defeat an opponent, I will gain experience points, and if I level up enough times, I might be able to learn this magic power." The analogy brings a sense of gamified optimism to their dire circumstances.

Oh Jaejin sits idly, envy lingering in his thoughts as he observes his girlfriend's unwavering optimism. His stillness is intentional, a dedicated effort to recover as much magic power as possible. Memories of the students who are still clinging to life resurface, a reminder of the few survivors they've encountered. Despite their limited interactions—less than a dozen people—their presence offers a glimmer of hope in the midst of chaos.

Yi Yook-Ok suggests another delivery run, “So, another delivery run? Give them half as usual… but I think we should check the other classrooms…:

Oh Jaejin nods, smiling at the prospect of aiding their fellow survivors. “Yeah, let’s check other classrooms…” It will be nice if they can go to the cafeteria but hobgoblins has made a nest there. He stands up, moving at his girlfriend’s pace. He has always known himself as a cowardly person yet here he is moving at his Yi-Yook-Ok’s phase.

As they prepare to venture into other classrooms, a shadow falls over their optimism. Opening the door reveals a horrifying scene – a hobgoblin, clad in dark leather armor, stands with a blood-soaked dagger protruding from Yi Yook-Ok's stomach. “Ah, shit.”

“Yuki!” Panic grips Oh Jaejin as he sees his girlfriend fall to the ground.

Yi Yook-Ok, grimacing in pain, shouts back. “Jay! Back off!”

The hobgoblin, armed with double daggers, moves with deadly agility. Its sinister grin widens as it swiftly disappears, reappearing right in front of Oh Jaejin, a dagger poised for a lethal strike. In an instant, Oh Jaejin's anger transforms into action. With a rapid thought, he manipulates the air, freezing it around the hobgoblin, encasing the menacing creature in a prison of ice. The display of magic prowess comes at a cost, however, as Oh Jaejin expends a significant portion of the magic power he had painstakingly recovered.

Oh Jaejin, panic-stricken, tries to staunch the bleeding from Yi Yook-Ok's stomach wound. Fear grips his heart at the thought of losing someone so dear. Desperation fuels him as he clings to the magic power within him, a power he barely understands. With a plea fueled by belief, he shouts, "HEAL! HEAL!" Miraculously, the open wound starts closing, but at a cost – his magic power diminishes to a mere smidgen, leaving him vulnerable.

Yi Yook-Ok gasps for breath, her attention divided between her own ordeal and the danger behind Oh Jaejin. Unseen by him, the hobgoblin breaks free from the ice prison. Sensing the imminent threat, Yi Yook-Ok shoves Oh Jaejin away with fury, just as the hobgoblin vanishes in a blur.

The hobgoblin, displaying monstrous speed, materializes with its daggers poised to strike Oh Jaejin. In a defensive stance, Yi Yook-Ok brandishes her spear with newfound ferocity, flames erupting from its tip to form a slashing crescent of fire. Undeterred, the hobgoblin clicks its tongue in annoyance, changing its dagger trajectory to parry the fiery assault.

Capitalizing on the hobgoblin's distraction, Oh Jaejin unleashes an angled, concentrated wind pressure, repelling the creature toward the window. seizing the opportunity, he urgently declares, "We run! I can feel it! That hobgoblin is wielding magic power!"
