“Speaking of being Sinful, Hyon Hyung here is already on his first mischief…” Kim Hajin jests.

I quickly explain. “He he he~! If you guys visit Yoenha, you’ll get to meet Evandel. Cute little runt!”

“You mean!?” Nayun exclaims aware of who is Evandel. Her voice is excited and has this childish nosiness of an auntie. Evandel is also a special person for Nayun as after all, no one can hate a child like Evandel.

“Yes, Nayun… We now have Evandel. But she is different from how you remember her. In the past, she was blonde, but now, she is not. In the past, she was very human, but now, she is… a bit more complicated than that.” I don’t really know how to praise it. ‘Monster’ is too derogatory for my taste.

“Evandel the Witch huh? How long until she is combat-ready?” Suho also knows who is Evandel thanks to me, and Hajin putting in the effort to educate him on ‘The Returnee Hero’ and ‘The Novel’s Extra’.

Because Suho doesn’t know Evandel on a personal level, he has a different perspective on her, thus the reason why he sounds unfeeling and too pragmatic when referring to her.

“Not until a few more years. I can only say, that her potential is immense. Evandel’s army was a great help during the Devil’s invasion. Evandel with the support of a prestigious mage is able to defend the whole of England by themselves.” Nayun boasts, recollecting that particular memory of how England is able to withstand the Devils’ attacks and shore up the possible casualties. “So, how is this Evandel that Hyon brought different from what I know?”

“This Evandel still has her undead inclinations,” I confess. “I did not get Evandel using the normal method. Currently, Evandel is with Yoenha under the supervision of a Death Knight.”

I manipulated my AI System to show a holographic video feed live from Yoenha’s room. Yoenha and Evandel are actually playing Jenga right about now. “As you can see… They are living very well…”

“What do you think? Just to clarify, this Evandel is directly plucked from the Dungeon and sent here. By Dungeon standards, she is a monster on the loose.” Hajin asks the others with a hardliner attitude.

“I don’t see any problem.” Nayun is the first to give her opinion not minding the changes, seeing through that the Evandel in the video feed is just a child.

“I am the same. I don’t see any problems.” Suho voices his honest thoughts.

“You heard them Hyon, I am the same as long as there are countermeasures in place.” Hajin responsibly says to me, and I can ask for nothing more.

I heave a sigh of relief.

We move further to our agendas, discussing which Djinn bases should we leak to the Hero Association to aid them in their Djinn Hunt. We are amassing a large network of contacts of the Djinns thanks to Cube AI’s and Hajin’s technological superiority. In the end, we decided to send an anonymous tip to the Hero Association once a day just to phase things in our own favor.

Using the Hero Association as our hunting dog is very nasty, but I like it. We make sure however to not reveal the Djinn bases and connections that Tomer has, as we have uses for her. In fact, we are even going the extra mile not to reveal her location.

After discussing what we should do about the information we have on the Djinns, we then discuss the feasibility of my suggestion to have a dungeon for ourselves, and for Hajin to use his SP to upscale it in favor of having a controlled environment for training.

In the end, everyone is in favor of doing it. The harm of failure on [Setting Intervention] being ineffective on a dungeon is simply lost time. However, the boon of success is so big that we cannot ignore the possibility of [Setting Intervention] being effective in a dungeon.

“Another thing, Hyon, instead of capturing a Dungeon and scaling it up using my SP, why don’t we just capture a Tower? A low-level one doesn’t matter, but I believe, this will be a more worthy endeavor.” Hajin is pretty much on board with this crazy plan.

Suho opines that if using a Tower doesn’t work, we can still try doing it with a Dungeon. “Again, the only loss we will incur is lost time, so we might as well do it thoroughly lest we regret not doing so…”

We discuss at length which Tower to get for ourselves. There is a lot to choose from. In the end, we narrow down two Government-Owned Towers, and a tower each from Creator's Sacred Grace, and Essence of the Strait.

“Hey, can we like… move a Tower?” Nayun is suggesting something very ridiculous. “If we buy a Tower as Cube Cadets, we will attract unwanted attention. There is also the Hero Association’s Audit Team if we bought the Tower from normal channels. If they learn the crazy changes that occur in the Tower, won’t we be a target of suspicion then?”

“It is reasonable, but what are you suggesting, Nayun?” Suho fearfully asks, realizing Nayun might say something very out of line, and he is not wrong at all as Nayun confidently declares.

“Let’s steal the tower.” That is what she said.

“…” “…” “…”

I break the silence by faking a cough. “And how do you suggest we do that?” I ask Nayun, wishing that she has a solution in her mind. She is a regressor, so why not? Maybe she has a cheat that can miraculously move Towers.

“That is your problem. So, how do we do it, Hajin?”

“…” “…” “…”

I really feel like smacking someone. Hajin is similarly stumped, but that does not last for long as he displays a look of enlightenment— that one rare eureka moment as if a light bulb flickers to life in his head.

“Let’s try conquering a tower first, and then after we reach the core area, I will try to use my Setting Intervention. Maybe if I have enough SP, I can teleport the entire Tower here in [Under Cube].”

“Let’s go with that for now. I feel bad though.”  Suho puts a close to the matter, as we really cannot do anything but try Hajin’s method. “I wish we could avoid stealing if there is an alternate… If it is possible, Hyon Hyung-ssi, can you check up with Cube-ssi if we have any technology that can move a dungeon or a tower.”

“I will try, but no promises…”

We continue our meeting, this time discussing the coming Combat Exam and the possibility of the Chameleon Troupe showing up.

Kim Hajin takes the floor and gives a brief summary. “In the next month to come, during the Combat Exam, the Chameleon Troupe will infiltrate Cube. That will be our chance to connect with them. As to how to approach them, we still don’t have a proper plan. Our goal is to acquire information about the former Seat of White. From what we know of the future, the current Boss of Chameleon Troupe is finding a candidate for the empty seat of black to fill in.”

I continue where Hajin left as I know this part more than him. The former Seat of Black didn’t really get any screen time in The Returnee Hero, but it is different from The Novel’s Extra. “The criteria for finding the new Seat of Black is they must have qualities that can potentially kill the former Seat of Black. The former Seat of Black goes by ‘Bell’, and should be the vessel of Baal. This Bell is a very complicated character, just know that his current objective is to die a real and permanent death.”

It is a very complicated concept as being a Vessel doesn’t mean that Bell is a straight abhorrent bad guy. If I have to be honest, Bell is one of my favorite characters from the novel, and even a few of the main cast pale in comparison to him.

No one interrupts me from my explanation as my comrades at least have inkling of the complicated stuff about Vessels, and Devils. The ‘Glossary of Terms’ that Hajin and I conjointly write is showing its advantages now.

I continue. “To expound on Bell, know that he is virtually immortal. If we face him off, our highest priority will be to restrain and contain him. Only a power that can alter reality can kill him together with the Devil that resides within him. It is different from the Devil’s Seed’s possession. Bell will not die unless magic power doesn’t exist anymore around the world. What makes him unkillable is his magic power body that literally has become part of nature.”

I continue with the storytelling. I tell them the story of the former Chameleon Troupe, not of this generation, but the past generation to give everyone a full picture. I tell them how the former Seat of White has toyed with the new Seat of White and made her into a killing machine. I tell them everything I remember about the Chameleon Troupe like Bell of the former Seat of Black of how he kills the former Seat of White in an act of deception at the Seat of White’s request.

Bell’s unique physique and role in the story are complicated enough. But it gets just more and more complicated as I reveal the more intricate parts of the story like the Kwang-Oh incident. I end my story-telling with Bell knowing the former Seat of White’s location.

A long silence ensues around the [Round Table].
