Li Xiqing was reading an email just now and he was fully focused on thinking about the problem that was raised by the Japan office. He felt slightly annoyed. The negotiation that had been going on for the past year finally had some results, but they required his attendance on every meeting.
Axel and Martin had been guarding the Japan office, but he was the one who started the negotiation with the target.
His relationship with Yan Yan was at a critical peak right now and she was more important. On the other hand, this deal had consumed his everything and he could not just let it go like that.
Li Xiqing was torn to two sides.
He was about to look up to look for Shao Yan, when he suddenly received a message alert on his phone. Mandy was texting him to tell him of her plan to visit Shanghai for a vacation. Li Xiqing quickly replied her message.
Just as he hit send button, he noticed a shadow was approaching him.
When Shao Yan bumped into him, her perfume scent and familiarity of her curves instantly soothed his tired self. When he turned his face and saw his Yan Yan's cheerful expression; his sour mood turned better instantly.
Unconsciously, his lips curved and let out a relaxed smile.
"Are you done?" He lifted a finger to brush the hair that had fallen in front of her forehead and slightly covered her left eye. He gently tucked the hair behind her ear and continued to say, "Are you ready to go now?"

When she reached the lobby, Shao Yan saw Li Xiqing was already waiting for her. His eyebrows were scrunched and he was typing on his phone. She waited for a while until Li Xiqing had finished typing, and then she walked over.
Shao Yan suspected that he was in a bad mood and wanted to cheer him up. But she was not really sure what to do. She could not just hug and snuggle with him in public. So she decided to just slump on the sofa next to him.
Shao Yan could not even detect an upset tone from him. All she heard was his ever so gentle voice; quenching her thirsty soul. She enjoyed his touches; Shao Yan stayed still for him and letting Li Xiqing to do what he wanted.
She slowly nodded her head without breaking any of their contacts, "En, I'm ready. We can go now," and then her lips gradually curved into a captivating smile; blinded his sight.
Li Xiqing slowly rose up from his seat. He took Shao Yan's laptop bag and then he grabbed her hand. Holding her hand inside his palm protectively, they started to walk out together.
They walked hand in hand while smiling and talking. Two beautiful people were emitting such a pink aura; drawing envious look from all the people around them.

Since it was just after rush hour, Li Xiqing decided to go to a shopping center nearby. The mall next to her office did not have adequate grocery store, so they decided to go to another shopping center about five minutes away.
Shao Yan was texting with Qi Ling and Feifei at the same time. Every now and then, she would tell Li Xiqing the content of their conversations.
"Oh! Feifei said her cake shop is opening next week. We should go there, Xiqing."
"Xiqing, Qi Ling is in New Zealand right now, and she said hi."
"Oh, interesting," she turned her head to look at him, "Feifei will only sell cake in her shop," and then Shao Yan looked back at the front, "I thought she would also have bread. She had always loved eating croissants before."
"Xiqing! Xiqing!" Her hand patted his arm excitedly.
She chuckled, "Qi Ling told me that she met a cute guy in Australia," and then she giggled happily, "she said he is a teacher, and was just heartbroken over childhood love. So now she wanted to grab the chance to woo him."
Shao Yan turned her head around and beamed at Li Xiqing, "I can't imagine it though, Qi Ling and a teacher."
She propped a hand to support her chin, "I mean, Qi Ling is living a glamorous life. She's travelling around the world for her job. That poor guy will be left behind."
Li Xiqing stayed quiet for a while, and then he finally said, "Hm. Who knows, maybe because he has a grounded job, he actually can keep her grounded, too? Making her wanting to keep coming home."
Shao Yan slowly nodded alongside his words, "En, that is also a possibility," and then she added, "oh, I am going to meet Feifei tomorrow for lunch, alright? I will pass her the cookies that we brought from Japan."

"I'll drop you off first. Just go in first with the shopping cart, I'll meet you inside after I park, alright?"
Because of the rush hour, they had been circling around the parking garage looking for a spot to park their car. Li Xiqing saw the time was getting late, so he suggested to Yan Yan to start shopping without him.
Shao Yan looked around, and nodded her agreement, "Alright, be careful. Don't worry about me," and then she got out of the car.
She grabbed one of the carts and started to push it to the mall. Shao Yan took out her phone, and started to go through the list that Li Xiqing had prepared for them.
He had set up a cloud sharing service to store their items. Shao Yan could take any pictures, and directly linked to the folder, and thus he can see it right away. And the same thing was also set up to his phone. They could also share the same music playlists.
The folder was also able to keep a note or shopping list, so Li Xiqing had started to enter a few items during the day.
"... Potatoes, and then carrots. Huh? Why did he need cloves and cinnamon too?" Shao Yan mumbled his list on the way.
