When they arrived at the restaurant, Shao Yan saw that Risa and Grandma Wu had arrived. It had been a while since she had last seen Grandma Wu and she missed her so much.
She was about to hasten her pace, when Li Xiqing moved his hand from holding her waist to her shoulder; stopping her from walking faster.
"Nope!" Li Xiqing said as he put a slight pressure on his palm over her shoulder, "nice try, young lady, but not on my watch."
He continued, "They will still be there even when you walk slowly," Li Xiqing very much wanted to flick her forehead. But with his one hand over her shoulder, and another hand was carrying a paper bag, he could not really do anything. He could only sigh softly.
Shao Yan looked up and grinned at him, "Can't help it, you know, I really miss Grandma. Both of them are the only family I have left now."
She raised up on hand and patted his chest, "I'm sorry, Mister, don't give me that face anymore," and then she pinched his cheek lightly, "I can see your wrinkles from here. Stop pouting already."
And then she laughed out loud, prompting Grandma and Risa to lift their face from reading the menu book and finally noticed their arrival.
And that was the face that they saw. Two people in love, who shared bright, beautiful smiles as they walked side by side towards them.

It was already November, and the weather was really cold, especially for senior people. And this was also the reason why, when Shao Yan asked Grandma out for a meal, she had decided to have hot pot with her.
As they walked closer, Risa stood up, to leave a space for Shao Yan to greet Grandma.
As she noticed her arrival, Grandma Wu had her face beamed and brightened up instantly. She really liked this granddaughter of hers. Very beautiful just like her mother, and very smart just like her father.
As she remembered what had happened in the past, Grandma Wu could not help but sigh softly, 'Luckily she has her happiness now.' And then she turned her glance to pay attention at the man who was walking next to her.
Grandma Wu had requested Risa to look into this outstanding man. Li Xiqing had remarkable features, and Grandma Wu was afraid that her Yan Yan had encountered another player.
But after asking around the executives at Gold Crane publications, and even the report submitted by a private investigator; Grandma Wu was unable to find any flaws about this man, who was head over heels with her granddaughter.
She nodded her head inconspicuously, feeling satisfied at the choice for this grandson in law. The only tiny flaw that she could find is actually...

Before she could finish her line of thought, a clear voice rang through as Shao Yan walk closer. She finally stood in front of her; Shao Yan bend her body a little and threw her arms around Grandma.
"I miss you so much!" she said as she gave a light squeeze around Grandma's frail body and shook her a little.
Grandma Wu burst in hearty laugh, "Brat! We just saw each other a few weeks ago," Grandma Wu said as she patted Shao Yan at the back, "alright, sit down now. Grandma miss you, too."
Shao Yan felt reluctant to part, so she gave another squeeze, before she let go of her hug around Grandma. And then she turned around to Li Xiqing.
Li Xiqing saw that Yan Yan was looking at him, so he stepped forward and said, "Grandma, how is your health? Yan Yan and I brought this for you," he said as he passed the paper bag to Risa, "there are two bags inside here. One is Japanese green tea leaves, the other one is cherry blossom tea."
Risa stepped forward to receive the bag from Li Xiqing, and then stepped back to stand next to Grandma again. Li Xiqing continued, "After lunch later, I'll tell you how to brew the sakura tea."
Grandma Wu nodded repeatedly, "Alright, alright now, let us all sit down. It's getting late, let's order soon."
Shao Yan grinned at her remarks, and then she took the spot next to Grandma Wu, and Risa sat on her other side.
Li Xiqing sat next to Shao Yan, and then he signaled the server to come while saying, "You ladies can chat first, let me order the food now."
Shao Yan nodded at him, and then she turned to Grandma, and circled her arm around her arm, "Grandma, what have you been busy with when I was away?" she asked cheerfully, "Did you meet any handsome Grandpa?"

During the whole lunch, Li Xiqing was busy. Not only he had to pay attention to Yan Yan's plate, but he also paid very close attention to Grandma's and Risa's.
Li Xiqing decided to order two types of broth.
"For the soup base, we will go with half and half. The first half, let's go with clear chicken broth with wolfberries. And for the second half, let's go with peppery pork broth with white radish."
