Grandma Wu burst into hearty laughs.
"Who is scaring you here, you silly child," she playfully patted Shao Yan at her arm, "Grandma was just thinking about your wellbeing."
Grandma lifted her hand and rubbed Shao Yan at the back of her hand, "When women get older, Yan Yan, their body gets more fragile too. When you give birth at a later age, it will take longer for you to recover," she patted a few more times, "I am just worried for you, my child."
And then Grandma slowly continued, "You also have to think about Xiqing. If both of you have children at a later age, he will be too old to play around with them."
Shao Yan pouted her lips, and then she wrapped one arm around Grandma and held her shoulder, "Grandma, I get it. Right now, don't worry about us, and just pay attention to your health. I want you to be healthy and then you can also play with our children later on. Alright?"
Grandma relented, and finally heaved a soft sigh, "Alright, I understand," she said as she patted Yan Yan on the cheek to assure her.

When she arrived home that night, the lights were all still turned off, as Li Xiqing was not home yet. Shao Yan turned a few lights on as she walked to the bedroom.
Since it had been a whole day, and her body was exhausted, she decided to soak a little. Walking over to the bathroom, Shao Yan turned the tap water on to fill the tub with hot water. She walked to the cabinet at the side, took out a few bath bombs, and started to unwrap it.
While waiting for the water to be ready, she started to clean her face and slowly strip her clothes. Shao Yan turned off the main bathroom lights, and left a few small lights on.
She walked to the full size window, and lit some candles that she had set by the window sill to set a calming mood; and then she walked back to the tub. While standing fully naked by the bathtub, Shao Yan dipped her hand into the water to test the temperature.
'Hm. This should be enough, I guess?' she thought to herself.
Shao Yan picked up the bath bomb, and threw them into the tub; gradually the foams were formed, and bubbles started to fill in the surface.
The room was quickly filled with lavender and chamomile smell. Simply from inhaling the fragrance; Shao Yan slowly felt that her tensed muscle started to relax. She lifted one foot, and then another, to climb into the tub.
Slowly, she lowered her waist, until she soaked her whole body inside the hot water.

After about an hour later, Shao Yan was quickly freshened up. She walked out in comfortable wool pajamas and matching house slippers that Li Xiqing had bought for her.
Shao Yan started to unwrapped the stuff that Grandma had bought for her. She wanted to hang them properly. And as she took them out, she would sometimes sigh on the way.
'The material is so nice, so perfect to the touch. The design is exquisite and so comfortable to wear. I wonder how much Grandma spent for all of these,' Shao Yan thought to herself; could not help to feel a slight guilt in her heart.
Her fingers skimmed over the dresses, and she felt sour in her heart.
The family that she had been missing, finally appeared by her side. Protecting her, spoiling her, laughing and crying with her.
Shao Yan could not help to pray silently in her heart so this happiness will not go away.

Since she had eaten dinner, Shao Yan decided to spend the remainder of the night watching TV while waiting for Li Xiqing to come home.
After she tidied up everything, she walked outside, and left a small light in the living room so the house was not too dark for him when he came home.
After making sure all the doors and windows were closed, she walked back inside the bedroom.
Shao Yan picked up the TV remote and started to browse the channels.
She was changing the channels absentmindedly when she felt that her eyelids were so heavy.
The volume of the TV had been lowered when she just turned it on. With the soak just now, her relaxed body, the scented candles, plush bed and the white noise from TV; all the combination gradually pulled her to sleep.
And this was the view that welcomed him when Li Xiqing came home a few hours later.
Smiling to himself, he could see that his woman is trying hard to wait up for him. But it seems that the fatigue slowly caught up.
He planted a soft kiss on her forehead, and watched her sleep for a while; before he walked to the bathroom to freshen up.

In the dark, Shao Yan tried to adjust her sight, when she felt his arms slowly wrapped around her as Li Xiqing spooned her from the back.
"... Xiqing?"
Surprised at her call, Li Xiqing raised his head to search for her face, "Did I wake you up? I'm sorry, let's go back to sleep."
She stirred as she said, "No, I was not sleeping soundly anyway. I was waiting for you to come home," and when she finished saying that, Shao Yan turned around and buried her face in his embrace.
She could feel a slight vibration from him as he chuckled, "Silly, why did you do that? It's Sunday tomorrow, you can sleep more, alright?"
Shao Yan hummed and then she was looking for a more comfortable spot to snuggle, "Grandma.. She bought a lot of dresses for me today," she said softly; barely like a whisper.
Li Xiqing had both of his arms wrapped around her; with her petite face was buried around his Adam's apple and their legs were linked with each other.
"En, are you having fun today?"
She was quiet for a long while, before she replied, "En. And I dreamed of mom just now."
