"Oh, that's right," he took a dark green kitchen towel and started to wipe down the island counter, "Mandy arrived this morning. She must have driven out to get dinner or something."
Shao Yan hesitated for a while. She had a question that she wanted to ask Li Xiqing, but she was not sure how to start the conversation.

"So uh, Xiqing," she started to say, "what should I call Mandy?"
She paused, and then before Li Xiqing could answer her, Shao Yan quickly continued. "I mean, do I just call her 'Sis' or just 'Mandy' or is there any other name that I should address her by?"
He finally wiped all the counter, and walked over to the kitchen sink and stood next to her.
"Just Mandy or Sis is fine. She is not very particular about this thing, you don't have to worry too much," he tapped her shoulder, "go wash up, let me finish the cleaning here," and then he started to wash the cloth.
Shao Yan nodded, "Alright, I'll do that then. Maybe I'll just call her 'Sis', and see how it goes from there," and then she leaned in and planted a soft kiss on his cheek, "thank you, I'll go wash up now."
Shao Yan straightened up her body, and walked to the bedroom.

Shao Yan had just finished her shower when Li Xiqing walked into the bedroom.
She was inside the walk-in closet and had just put on her fluffy, wool light blue pajamas when she heard the bathroom door was opened.
When she walked out, she saw Li Xiqing was brushing his teeth. "I have prepared the tub for you, you can just soak in it right away," she said as she picked up her own toothbrush and toothpaste. Li Xiqing nodded, and kept brushing his teeth.
When she finished, Shao Yan was about to walk out of the bathroom when a pair of strong arms caught her waist from behind and then she was lifted up in the air. Reflexively, Shao Yan grabbed onto the arms and felt the strong muscles flexed under her touch.
"Ahh!" A shriek of surprise escaped her, when suddenly Shao Yan found herself seated on the bathroom counter. The grey and white marble stone felt so cold underneath her.
