She had been standing in front of the door for a while now. Her soft, long hair was blown by the wind; creating a hypnotic golden brown waves.
Her feet shifted anxiously; the black boots clicked impatiently and echoed around the empty hallway. She was not sure if coming here at this time was the right decision.
By the time she had stood outside his door, her doubt started to kick in. But she was already here now.
She raised her hands in a fist and took a deep breath. And then she lifted one hand to press the doorbell.
A moment later, she heard soft steps coming from behind the door and then stopped. So she knew whoever stood behind the door right now was probably watching her every move.
Her head was down, looking at her feet. And then she tilted her face to look to the side; admiring the view from the balcony.
'Xiqing, I'm home,' she whispered softly in her heart.

The door was opened. Shao Yan saw a very beautiful woman standing in front of her.
Her almost waist length; golden brown hair framed her stunning face. She turned her face to glance at Shao Yan right when she opened the door; and a small smile curved on her lips.
Two apple cheeks formed with her smile as she pursed her lips. She looked confused for a moment when she saw Shao Yan. The woman looked at the numbers on the door, and then she turned her head to the left and right; making sure that she was at the right place.
And then she glanced back at Shao Yan, "Oh? I'm so sorry, is this uh.. Li Xiqing's house?"
Shao Yan nodded, "Yes, it is. And you are?"
Before the woman got the chance to answer, one hand encircled Shao Yan around her waist. And then his deep masculine voice was heard next to her, "Who visited this early, Yan Yan?"

Li Xiqing first looked at Shao Yan, and then he turned his face to look at who was standing outside.
His eyebrows arched in pleasant surprise. He was about to say something, before the woman squealed, and then threw herself into him.
Her hair swayed with her every move, and Shao Yan could smell a hint of iris flower and also lilies surrounding her as she leaped forward.
Her arms wrapped Li Xiqing around his neck and she put all of her weight onto him. Li Xiqing was surprised by the sneak attack, he almost lost his balance and staggered one step to the back before he steadied the both of them.
His hands reflexively held the woman by her waist and stopped her movement.
"Don't play around!" he scolded the woman, "How old are you already; and still jumping around like this?"
He slowly let her go, and then he put both of his hands on his waist while continued on nagging and scolding the woman in front of him, "What if Axel saw you just now? Won't you just scare him away?"
The woman lifted her hands and then cupped Li Xiqing around his jaw, "Still nagging as usual. You'll get wrinkles, do you know that?" her soft voice had a hint of joke as she teased him.
And then the woman turned to the side, and looked at Shao Yan who was standing in confusion while watching them.
"So this is Yan Yan?" Her beautiful voice asked her in uncertainty. The woman looked at Shao Yan and then at Li Xiqing, and back to Shao Yan.
Shao Yan gave a little nod, and before she got the chance to greet her and introduce herself, the woman suddenly threw her arms around her and squeezed her into a tight hug, "Oh! I'm so excited to see you!"
Shao Yan with both of her arms flayed on both sides, was not sure what to do. She peeked at Li Xiqing from the woman's shoulder and looked at him in confusion, and mouthed, 'What should i do?'
Li Xiqing could only shake his head helplessly.
He heaved a sigh and then put his broad palm behind the woman's back, and pushed her inside the apartment, "Let's come inside first. Don't stand in front of the front door like this."

The woman put her hand behind Shao Yan on her back, "Yan Yan, is it okay if I call you Yan Yan, right?" she asked as she took off her boots.
Both women walked inside, and the woman looked around the apartment unit. A very pleased look was shown on her face. She kept smiling as she saw the many little touches that Shao Yan had added to the house.
The woman walked over to the living room cabinet and stared at the figurine that Shao Yan had gotten from the sports festival, "Oh wow! This is both of you! How cute!"
She turned around and looked at Li Xiqing, "Not bad, Xiqing," she laughed, "see what I told you about women's touch. This apartment looks so much better with a woman around."
Li Xiqing did not say anything, he walked inside the house and at the same time, he took out his phone from his pants pocket and started to type a text message.
"Since you are here, join us for breakfast then," he said after he hit the send button, "I cooked some minced pork porridge." He started to walk to the kitchen.
But as if he remembered something, he paused on his track, and then he turned around. Li Xiqing looked at Shao Yan and then he said, "Yan Yan, this is Mandy."
He looked to the woman and warned her, "Sis. Do not scare her away, alright?" and then he turned around and continued walking.
A light bulb appeared inside her brain.
No wonder she felt that this woman was beyond stunning. She peeked to the side, to carefully look at her features again.
Her forehead and delicate eyebrows were as stunning as a model. Her tall nose and plump pink lips were so attractive. And then her gorgeous waterfall hair behind her back was glistening in marvel.
This woman was a perfection in one body.
'Yeap! They are siblings for sure!' Shao Yan declared in her heart.
