Shao Yan was stunned silly at this gorgeous woman in front of her. Her every demeanor screamed elegance and proper mannerism.
Mandy was almost as tall as Qi Ling; but not as thin as her. Today, Mandy was donned in neutral colors from head to toe.
She had a beige, long sleeve turtleneck top that she paired with a dark brown pleated long skirt. As she stood on her toes to peek at the cabinet, the skirt was flowing like water as the chiffon material swayed like a butterfly. A black, faux leather obi belt was wrapped around her waist; heightened her slim figure even more.
She lifted her long, slim fingertips to tuck in her hair behind her ear and then she bent a little to look at the small Swarovski figurines that Shao Yan had placed around the cabinet. Her gold hoops earrings glinted playfully as she moved.
Mandy turned her head around and looked at Shao Yan, "You have good taste in decoration. Very nice, Yan Yan," and then she pointed to the small figurines, "these are twelve animals from Chinese zodiac, right?
When she turned around, Shao Yan was caught off guard. While watching her just now, Yan Yan was actually thinking to herself, 'Is it normal for me to be fangirling to Li Xiqing's sister? But she is just super gorgeous!'
"Y-Yes, they are," Shao Yan stuttered a little as she replied to her.

A gentle smile slowly formed on her face. Mandy walked over to Shao Yan. Her slender hand was extended in front of her, "So, we finally get to meet each other. I'm Mandy."
Shao Yan quickly returned her gesture and shook her hand, "Nice to meet you, Sis."
Mandy waved her hand in front of her, "No need to call me Sis; Mandy is fine. Or if you prefer, you can call my Chinese name, Xilin," and then she patted Shao Yan on her shoulder "it's totally up to you."
Suddenly, Li Xiqing walked out from the kitchen. In his hands, he was carrying two white ceramic bowls, and then he placed them on the dining table.
"Stop chatting, come over and let's eat now."
After saying that, he turned around and walked back to the kitchen.
Shao Yan and Mandy exchanged looks at each other, and then both of them suddenly burst into tiny giggles.
Both ladies then walked to the dining table, and each occupied a seat across from each other.
Li Xiqing came out a moment later. He was carrying another two white ceramic bowls.
Shao Yan looked at the bowl that he had just put down, and then she raised her chin and looked at Li Xiqing, "Hm? Who else is going to join us?"
Mandy was also looking at the bowl, and then she raised her face to look at him; she quickly said, "No way! You called him over already?"
And then she crossed her arms in front of her chest and leaned back to her seat. Her mouth was pouted, "I purposely escaped early this morning to give you surprise. Why are you calling him already?" Mandy said as she sulked, "I want to have as much time alone with you."
Right when she finished saying that, the doorbell rang.
Mandy raised one hand and put them on her forehead, "Here comes trouble," she murmured.

Not a single person in the table moved to get up and open the door. Li Xiqing was locking his gaze on Mandy. At first, Shao Yan was looking at Li Xiqing, and when she saw his stare, she also turned her head to look at Mandy.
Looking at how her face was full of trouble, Shao Yan wanted to get up and open the door for her. But suddenly, Li Xiqing covered her hand with his palm and gently pushed her back to sit down, while still keeping his sight glued on Mandy the whole time.
On the third ring, Mandy, who was still sulking, finally pushed her chair backwards, "Fine. Let me open the door," she huffed childishly and walked to the foyer.
Shao Yan turned her head to the side, and whispered, "What happened?"
Li Xiqing pursed his lips to hide his smile, and whispered back, "You'll know later."
A moment later, Shao Yan heard the sound of the door opening, and then closed.
Series of footsteps started to close in from the front, and then Shao Yan saw the shadows of two people walked into the dining area.
"Oh!" Shao Yan reflexively exclaimed as she saw the other person who was following closely behind Mandy.
The man, clad in dark grey suit also noticed Shao Yan. His eyebrows arched in surprise, and then he glanced at Li Xiqing who sat next to her.
He put one hand behind Mandy on her back and said, "Oh! The world is small after all," his baritone voice filled the silence in the room.

Li Xiqing turned his face to Shao Yan, "You two know each other?"
Shao Yan, having recovered from her surprise, turned her head to the side and placed one hand on his arm, "Remember I told you about the handsome man I saw in the elevator?"
And then she cover her mouth with one hand, pretending to whisper a secret, "It is this man."
Li Xiqing then realized the complete story now. He nodded and then slowly got up from his seat, "You are right on time, let's sit and have breakfast with us," he said to the man that had just stepped in.
Mandy occupied the seat across Shao Yan, while the man occupied the seat next to her; across from Li Xiqing.
A moment later, Li Xiqing came out with a carafe of orange juice and four glasses.
"Axel, this is my girlfriend, Shao Yan," Li Xiqing pulled the chair and went back to sit down.
And then he looked at Shao Yan, "This is my brother in law, Axel Chen."
The man's charismatic face had a very charming smile on him. As his lips curved into smile, his eyes glinted mischievously, and he raised one hand to wave at Shao Yan, "Hello, I am Mandy's husband, Chen Yufeng. Just like Daniel, you can also call me Axel."
And as he finished saying that, he raised his left hand, and with his wide palm, he cupped the back of Mandy's head, "You must have been scared silly this morning by this angel?"
