When the tall double door opened, the guests were again swept with a huge, pleasant surprise.
Black Eyed Peas song "I Gotta Feeling" was playing in the background. The previously calm, mannerly welcoming hall filled with sweets had been transformed to a whole new level.
A colorful disco ball was hung on the ceiling, spreading rainbows of lights all around the room; waking up the quiet moment left from the elegant dinner from before.
Shao Yan noticed that multiple dessert stalls had been positioned on all four corners of the hall. One side was an ice cream stand. A 1980's style of sign board was hung on the wall with lightbulbs surrounding the wooden plate with "I Scream Ice Cream" words engraved on it.
The guests were pampered with multiple ice cream flavors to choose to their heart's content.
Twenty to thirty different flavors of ice cream were arranged in big tubs of two rows, where the guests would be able to scoop them by themselves. Next to that was the choices of toppings. Another twenty to thirty different toppings were placed in clear glass containers and the guests would be able to add them onto their ice cream bowls.
Multiple selections for bowls were also available. Guests would be able to choose if they want their bowl to be a normal clear, crystal bowl, or waffle bowl. They also had to choose between chocolate waffle bowl, matcha waffle bowl, strawberry waffle bowl and many other flavors.
Shao Yan picked up the menu and looked around.
"Wow! Look at this," she grabbed Li Xiqing's arm, and then pointed to the paper in her hand, "if you don't want to eat ice cream and the toppings, they can make it into a milkshake for you too!"
Shao Yan looked up at him, her eyes were glittering with excitement, "Feifei is really amazing!"

"Have you seen that side of the wall?" Risa was asking with smirk, "Your little friend has really gone all out tonight."
Shao Yan shook her head, "I am still amazed at this ice cream stand. What is it?" She asked as she turned to the side to glance at the second hall.
The other side of the wall was "Waffle My Life". On this side of the hall, guests would be able to make their own waffles.
Feifei had brought in a food truck as the decor stand placement. Selection from sweet and savory choices were available for them to choose.
Starting from Waffle with pancakes or waffle with honey; waffle with fried chicken or waffle with gravy and biscuits. Any kind of possible combination that they could think of, Feifei and her team had prepared them all.
Dozens of chefs in white uniform were standing behind the food truck table to cook the waffles fresh from the pan for the guests.
Shao Yan and Li Xiqing walked around to see which one they would choose. She noticed that almost both stands were already filled with excited guests.
"Do you already know which one you want?" Li Xiqing, with his hand wrapped around her waist glanced down to ask Shao Yan the question.
She shook her head as she scanned the waffle pans that were cooking in front of her.
"This one looks interesting, but I want to see what Feifei has for the other two halls."
"Alright," he nodded, and they started to walk again, "let's take a look."

The third side of the hall was "Color Me Softly". On this side of the hall, an edgy style of black and blue lights decorated the tall bar tables. Five bartenders who were experts in alcohol mixology were gathered. Dressed in all blacks, they were here to pamper the guests with drinks of their choice.
Any mix, any recipe or any drinks that the guests desired would be able to be fulfilled by these master of the bars. Starting from classic cocktails to the pure hard liquor, they would be able to serve them all.
"I suppose, we can start with a drink?"
Li Xiqing nodded, "Sure, what do you want?"
Shao Yan folded her arms in front of her chest while thinking, "Hmm," she hummed, "I'll start with a glass of champagne then."
Li Xiqing nodded, and then he signaled to one of the bartenders, "Whiskey on the rocks and a glass of champagne, please."
The bartender nodded at his orders, and started to work behind the tall table.
As he was about to turn around to Shao Yan, someone tapped on his shoulder. Li Xiqing tilted his head slightly to glance to his right.
"Daniel!" President Huang was smiling so wide as he greeted Li Xiqing.
"How are you enjoying the party so far? How are the boys?"
Li Xiqing handed Shao Yan her glass of champagne which she took gently from his hand.
"President Huang, Xiqing, you guys can talk, I will go to that side, and see what other desserts they have there," Shao Yan said before placing her hand on Li Xiqing's arm and gave him a soft pat.
"En," he nodded, "I will find you there."
Shao Yan smiled at him, before nodding at President Huang, and started to walk to the other side.

The final hall was "Snack a Roo" where the guests would be served with selections of snacks that typically available for them when they went to bars or clubs.
Choices starting from pizza, hotdogs, kebab, burgers, chips, crackers, peanuts, fried donuts, french fries, chicken popcorn bites, nuggets; basically everything that they could think of will be available.
When she walked in, Shao Yan quickly noticed that some of her team members were gathered here.

They started to gather around her, each was holding their own desserts in their hands.
Shao Yan saw that Li Na decided to have two scoops of ice cream in a matcha waffle bowl with crushed peanuts and mochi as toppings.
Fan jie was also holding a chocolate waffle bowl with three ice cream flavors on it and rainbow sprinkles as topping.
Wenhai was holding a plate with tiny waffle squares. He glazed the waffles with honey and also bits of fried chicken on the side.
Uncle Huo was standing quietly on the side; one hand was holding a plate, while the other hand was holding a hotdog.
"En," Shao Yan nodded back at their greetings, "how was the dessert? Do you guys like them?"
She scanned their plates and continued, "I was thinking of getting the ice cream too. Maybe after this champagne."
"They are really good, Xiao Yan," Fan jie chimed in, her hands were playing with the rainbow sprinkles in her bowl, "there is a long line of people also waiting for their ice cream bowl."
"Get the mochi, Xiao Yan," Li Na suddenly joined in, "they are really good. I asked Feifei just now, she said that she ordered them especially from that famous Japanese confectionery store from S street."
"Oh! I have heard of that place," Shao Yan replied with the same excitement, "Okay, I have decided on the ice cream then," she said while raising her champagne glass and having a sip.
Everyone started to talk about the desserts in their hands.
The song selections in the background kept changing to a more energetic song each time.
The scenery of the night was not getting more dull, but instead, as the scene picked up, everyone was getting more excited as they spent the last few hours of the year.
