The next few days flew by like winds. You could feel the breeze, but could not feel it enough when it had passed you by.

Risa was quickly engulfed in the hectic schedule of the New Year. Both she and Shao Yan were soon pulled into different directions. People just kept looking for them to ask for advice on their project planning.

And today was no different to the rest of their days.

Every year, during these first few weeks, each department head would deliver their plan for the first and second quarters of the year. Today was Risa's turn. Shao Yan was sitting in a conference room, while listening to Risa who was delivering her presentation up in the front.

"Items to be discussed today are the Valentine's day celebration, Lunar New Year celebration and then Spring Festival."

Shao Yan flipped through the papers in her hands. Risa had outlined all the plans into a very detailed proposal. The tram quickly fell into the rhythm as the discussion went unstoppable around the room.

....

"What do you think?"

The whole room went into silence, but Shao Yan was still looking through the glass window. She seemed to be admiring the fluffy white clouds outside, but in actuality, she was busy daydreaming.

"Shao Yan?"

As she heard the mention of her name, Shao Yan quickly snapped back to reality. She turned her back around and saw that everyone in the room was looking at her.

She smiled sheepishly, and cleared her throat.

"Uh, I'm sorry, what did you say?"

Risa folded both of her arms in front of her chest and feigned anger, "It's still too early to fall asleep, miss Shao! Or is there any good looking hunk flying out in the sky?"

The whole room filled with laughter as people exchanged looks with one another and looked at the flustered looking Shao Yan.

"I was asking you, how is the Meet and Greet plan for Valentine's Day?"

Shao Yan looked down and started to read from her mobile tablet in her hands, "The venue was already confirmed, we will have a total of fifteen authors that will join us on that day."

She paused, "The morning session will be a talk show and the media will be there. And then after lunch break, we will start the multiple events designed for each author."

Risa nodded at her words, "Alright, now everyone, let's group out and start to discuss the individual plans for that session."

....

Everyone stayed for almost the whole day inside the conference room. Slightly before five in the afternoon, Risa finally wrapped up the meeting.

"Alright, everyone, safe drive home, I'll see you tomorrow. Have a good evening."

One by one, people started to rise up from their seat and walk out of the room. Shao Yan stayed behind, as she wanted to ask Risa a few questions.

Just as she approached her, however, Risa beat her to the punch.

"What is your plan for Lunar New Year?" Risa asked.

Shao Yan, who had many questions in her mind suddenly lost tracks of her own thoughts, and she drew a blank look.

"Uh… Isn't that the end of February?" She started to say, "Well.. To be honest, I don't really have any plans."

She paused to think for a while before continuing, "Qi Ling, my housemate, will be back around that time. Xiqing's parents are visiting too. So maybe I will be busy during those two weeks off."

Shao Yan looked up and stared at Risa, "Why did you ask? What about you and Grandma?"

Risa picked up her tablet from the table, and started to walk out of the room with Shao Yan, "Grandma was actually mentioning that she wanted to visit your parents' graveyard."

Shao Yan who was walking next to her, suddenly stopped in her tracks.

"What did you say?"

Risa turned her body to face Shao Yan, and spoke very softly, "Yan Yan, I know that things ended in bad terms between you and your father. But it is the New Year anyway, so, you should still pay your respect, don't you think so?"

After she finished saying that, she turned her body back around, "Besides, if Xiqing is really serious about you, sooner or later, you have to introduce him to your parents too."

As she blinked her eyes, over and over again, Shao Yan watched her figure that walked further and further away.

She had never thought of this at all.

Shao Yan had always thought that she was alone anyway, and Grandma had met him, and she had also approved of him.

But she forgot that she still had a past that Xiqing would love to know of.

Raising her chin up high, Shao Yan quickly gathered her feet and walked faster to catch Risa.

'En, maybe Sis is right. I should have thought about introducing Xiqing to the family soon," Shao Yan thought to herself as she chased behind Risa and got into the elevator.

....

Upon hearing the door was being opened, Shao Yan switched off the fan from the stove.

She was about to shout out to welcome Li Xiqing home, when someone else's voice was heard.

"Yan Yan?" Mandy was calling from the foyer as she took off her shoes and changed to the house slippers, "Are you in the kitchen?"

"Yes!" She answered back at her and quickly washed her hands in the sink, "I'm here!"

Shao Yan heard the flopping sound of the slippers starting to approach the kitchen, and then her stunning face was within her sight.

"What are you cooking?" Mandy peeked in from the kitchen door, and then she walked in.

"Oh!" She answered as she dried her hands with a paper towel, "Just some boiled herbal chicken soup and stir fry broccoli with garlic. Would you like to join us for dinner?"

Mandy shook her head as she walked to the stove and opened the lid of the herbal chicken soup, "No, thank you for the invite though, I have finished my cooking, too, and Axel is already downstairs."

She closed the lid back, and looked at Shao Yan while smiling so sweetly, "He's parking his car."

"Yan Yan," Mandy started to say, "the reason I'm here is to ask you what Grandma's favorite color is. I have prepared some jewelry and scarves to give her for our first meeting gift ideas, but I can't decide on the colors."

"Qing Qing told me to ask you, although he also suggested some soft colors, like soft purple or dark moss green. What do you think?"

Mandy pulled up her phone, and started to show her some images from her phone gallery, "Here, look at these pictures."

Shao Yan swiped through some of the images, "I don't think Grandma is a picky person. I also remember seeing her wearing quite colorful clothes before, so it is very hard to know her favorite." She handed the phone back to Mandy, "You can pick whatever you see is pretty for her, Grandma would be very satisfied with that already."

Mandy suddenly threw herself at Shao Yan and squeezed her into a hug, "En, thank you, Yan Yan."

She separated herself from Yan Yan and put both hands on Shao Yan's upper arms while saying, "I should go back now, Axel should be already at home by now."

Shao Yan nodded at her words, but before she said anything, Mandy had cut her off, "You don't have to send me out, I'll go by myself, and you can continue cooking, bye bye!" And then she briskly walked out.

Shao Yan was stunned at her figure who left as soon as she came. Smiling to herself, Shao Yan shook her head slowly and turned around to the stove; and she started to cook again.

As Mandy stepped outside, she quickly unlocked her phone, and started typing on her messaging application, 'Mommy, it's definitely C cup! Let's go with red color. Yan Yan has very pretty milky skin, red lingerie will look awesome on her!'
