"Would you like some coffee?" Shao Yan got up from her seat and walked to the kitchen; carrying the dirty plates in her hands.
Li Xiqing also got up and walked after her; both of his hands were also carrying the plates and bowls.
"No, maybe I'll have a glass of wine," he answered while putting the dirty bowls in the sink.
Shao Yan nodded and walked to the wine rack. With one hand, she took out the half full Cabernet Sauvignon; her other hand reached out to the side and grabbed a wine glass. Li Xiqing walked to the kitchen counter and started to boil some hot water.
This had been their habit lately. Instead of going out for dessert or going to shower right away, both of them decided to have a chat after meal with drinks of their choice while lounging at the patio.
Shao Yan walked to the balcony and placed the glass and bottle gently on top of coasters, and then she walked back to the kitchen. From the fridge, she took out a bowl of strawberries, blueberries and raspberries that Li Xiqing had rinsed earlier.
When she walked out again, she saw that Li Xiqing had brewed a cup of flower tea for her and was sitting on the chaise lounge waiting for her. He patted the space next to him, and flashed her a smile.
She returned his cheeky grin with one of her own, "Why are you so happy?"
Li Xiqing raised his eyebrow and feigned a surprise, "Am I?" He looked outside the patio. The sky was already dark, the breeze blew into the apartment gently.
"Probably because of the good weather and the good food," he shrugged a little. When she was standing next to the chaise, he reached out and took the bowl from her hands. His other hand held onto her wrist and gently pulled her down to sit next to him.
Shao Yan leaned in his embrace, with his right arm circled around her shoulder. He placed the bowl on her lap and reached out to his wine with his left hand. Their legs were crossing on top of the chaise; every now and then they would bump into each other.
With his hand on her shoulder, Li Xiqing nudged her face closer to his lips and then he planted a kiss on her temple.
It was beautiful weather outside. The moon was shining brightly down to them; a glass of wine in one hand and a beauty in another hand, Li Xiqing felt a bliss in his heart that was indescribable.

"I may have to go to Singapore next month."
"Hm?" She plopped another raspberry into his mouth, "What happened to Axel?"
"En, I don't know yet," He paused to chew the berry. Each bite sent a burst of sweetness inside his mouth and sent him into happiness.
"We were talking about the deal today. He found out that the guy who was leading the negotiation from the other side was the same guy who has hurt his sister, Amy," Li Xiqing paused when Shao Yan whipped her head around in surprise. He slowly continued, "So, he was telling me that I may have to go just in case he cannot keep his cool."
He tilted his head and smiled, "Would you like to come with me?"
Shao Yan looked at him, dumbfounded.
"You can treat it as a short vacation," He could not stop his grin when he saw her excited face, "Probably I will have to be there for two weeks, maybe longer."
Shao Yan really wanted to go, her eyes sparkled with excitement. But soon, the light in her eyes dimmed as she remembered.
"But," She hesitated for a while, "Aren't your parents going to visit Shanghai around next month?"
Li Xiqing nodded, "Singapore also celebrates Lunar New Year, so we may even leave after the celebration is over."
"En," She answered almost immediately, "That's good then."
Despite her eagerness to go, Li Xiqing could see that her mind was quickly distracted and now it was churning with other thoughts.
He sipped onto his wine slowly as he studied her face, "What is it?"
Shao yan glanced at him, and then placed the fruit bowl on his tummy. She turned to the side and reached out for her cup of tea that was on the coffee table.

"So, Vivian sent me a text message today."
"Hm?" Li Xiqing picked the fattest strawberry he could find in the bowl, and offered it to Shao Yan, "What did she want?"
Upon the fragrant sweet smell, she opened her lips by reflex and took a bite; and then he shoved the rest of the strawberry in his hand into his mouth. Without saying anything, she reached out for her phone while still chewing the strawberry.
Shao Yan unlocked her phone and opened the text message before passing the phone to him.
He did not take her phone from her but just gave a quick skim over the text message.
"Hmm," He nodded, "You can ignore it if you don't want to meet her. There's nothing to talk about anyway."
"If you have anything you are still curious about, you know you can ask me anytime," Li Xiqing picked another blueberry and fed it to her, "You know that, don't you?"
"En," She nodded and mumbled with her mouth full, "I was thinking maybe I should, at the very least, be courteous," She paused as she was trying to find the right words to say.
"You know, uh.. Seeing that she knows you and Mandy after all."
"You don't have to feel that way," he shook his head, "I'm not sure about Mandy and their friendship, but she is definitely not part of my life anymore. All you have to think about is our lives."
Li Xiqing put the bowl on the coffee table by his side. He took the last sip of his wine and then turned to face Shao Yan.
When Shao Yan thought he was about to continue talking again, however, she saw his face gradually moving closer to her. And then he touched his own lips on hers.

Enticing her to open the pink, supple lips; Li Xiqing started to kiss her deeply.
The wine inside his mouth swirled in between their shy tongues; bringing heat and sweetness in a lustful combination. Shao Yan could taste a mix of the red wine and strawberry from his last bite. She started to feel her cheek blushed and she felt giddy with excitement.
All of a sudden, she felt kissing with wine was a very sexy way to spend the night.
He gently picked her up to let her lay on top of him. Their lips were still entwined with each other; her feet slowly rubbed on his calf; tickling him.

Li Xiqing buried all ten fingers in her hair while his lips did not cease in attacking his territory and claiming what was his. He deepened his kiss and a soft moan escaped her lips.
His tongue was hungry for her; he kept searching and finding, and fighting intimately with her. Sloppy kisses and soft moans were all he could hear from the both of them.
Shao Yan started to feel a tiny spark of bravery growing inside of her.
She thought of something naughty, but she was not sure if she could do it.
