Li Xiqing tilted his head and peeked down from the crown of her head. Shao Yan had her cheek puffed as she was pouting and refused to answer him.
She was laying still on top of him in his embrace; with her face as bright as a ripe tomato.
"..... a little sore," she said in soft whispers.
Smirking; he planted a kiss on the top of her head. Li Xiqing reached out to the side, and grabbed his shirt. Then, he wrapped the cloth around her.
One arm around her, and lifted her knee up with the other. Li Xiqing carried her princess style and walked back into the bedroom.
Along the way, Shao Yan glanced around the living room floor where all of their clothes had been discarded messily. She buried her face deeper into his chest; feeling embarrassed at her own actions.
She took a mental note to talk to Li Xiqing tomorrow about moving those chaise lounges to their bedroom instead.
Her initial plan to take the lead was quickly ruined when he entered her. Li Xiqing took control the whole night; leaving her breathless.
'This is not the way,' She vowed, 'I will pay you back next time,' she said to herself and then she punched him lightly on his shoulder.
Li Xiqing tilted his head in confusion as to why she suddenly hit him. But he had things in his head that he wanted to finish, so he kept on walking.
Once he reached their bedroom, he walked inside and closed the door with one foot to the back.
He paused as he stood by the bedside, "Well, my dear," and looked down at her, "The night is still young."
He smirked and placed her down gently on the bed, "Shall we continue?"

It was only after midnight when Li Xiqing finally let her go. After a quick shower, he carried her back to the bed.
Shao yan felt so tired and sleepy after wrestling him the whole night. Her eyelids felt so heavy and all her muscles were aching. She just wanted to sleep the whole day tomorrow.
As her head touched the pillow under her head, she was ready to drift off to the dream land.
Li Xiqing laid down next to her. He adjusted his arm to let her use it as her own pillow; and then he pulled Shao Yan closer into his embrace.
She was about to sleep, and the sudden movement jolted her slightly awake, "Nngh?" She mumbled a complaint before burying her head deeper.
"Oh," She continued mumbling in a sleepy voice, "I .... forgot to tell you." Her voice was slightly buried by the blanket that she just pulled up to her neck.
She paused for a very long time, Li Xiqing even thought Shao Yan had fallen asleep.
"I will meet her... uhh.. Vivian?" She said drowsily.
He wrapped both arms around her, caging her from behind.
"En, do as you like," and then he rubbed his nose against her nape, "just remember that whatever it was between her and I were already over years ago."
Shao Yan drifted in and out but she heard what he just said.
"En," she mumbled her acknowledgement, and then she snuggled deeper into his hugs and finally surrendered herself to the sleep.

Finally, it was the most anticipated day for Shao Yan and her team. Today was the Valentine's Day event that they hosted for Romance authors and their fans. This would be their first event for the company in this new year.
The actual Valentine's Day was still in a few days.
The team decided not to host this event on the actual day itself to avoid having less attendance from the readers because of their dates.
Shao Yan had just parked her car and stepped out. After she locked her car, she took out her mobile phone and opened the text message from Vivian yesterday.
Her fingers hovered over the mobile keyboards for a while; she was thinking on what to reply.
After a while, Shao Yan finally started typing.
'Hello Vivian, of course I still remember you. I am hosting an event today at mall S near the City Center and it will end around 2 PM. If you are available today, let's meet for tea around 3 PM at Superstarbucks?'
She read her text again for a few times before hitting the send button.
After it was sent out, Shao Yan opened another application to start calling on people.
She had put on low ankle boots today because she knew there would be a lot of walking and running around to make sure the event was in place.
The weather was still chilly as it was just beginning of February. Shao Yan matched a soft pink sweater with black leather pants.
Her hands went inside the purse and started to search around for her Bluetooth earpiece. After a while, she finally found it, and put it on her left ear; while her fingers kept typing on instructions.

"Shao Yan, the paper roses are here; along with the goodie bags."
"Xiao Yan, the tables and chairs are set, they're over there."
"Where should we put the extra supplies? Just put them on the side?"
"Manager Shao, the printouts are here!"
"Everyone, gather around, please! Breakfast is here!"
Shao Yan was being called by different people and pulled to different directions but luckily things were not chaotic. She had assigned some people to be leading some groups under them.
As the questions came in, those people who had been assigned to be in charge took over those questions right away; and they also walked away with their team to settle any issues.
Everyone was preparing the venue since eight in the morning.
When the clock hit eleven, and the mall opened, everyone started to gear up for the incoming flow of guests.
Shao Yan was standing on the second floor; overlooking the event that took place on the floor beneath her. In her hands were a printout of the whole schedule and also her mobile phone.
Suddenly an arm was draped over her shoulder and a body nudged her, "Hey!"
Shao Yan glanced to the side, surprised to see Feifei who suddenly appeared in front of her.
"Feifei!" She exclaimed happily, and then she stretched out both hands to offer her a hug, "What are you doing here?"
Feifei returned her hug and squeezed her a little, "I delivered the food to keep all of you full and happy."
She slowly let her go, "Do you like my breakfast sandwich? Which one did you get? The tuna salad or egg mayonnaise?"
Shao Yan nodded and felt pleased, "It seems that my team has been bought over by you, huh?"
Feifei grinned in pride, "Ever since New Year, the regulars in my shop were mostly people from Gold Crane. I am so grateful, Xiao Yan!"
Shao Yan patted her on her shoulder, "Don't thank me, you are successful now because of your own hard work, best friend," and then she tilted her head and gave her a reassuring smile.
"En," Feifei nodded, "Oh! I am not here by myself, by the way. My brother is also here. He just came back from Paris."
Once she finished saying that, her head glanced around; trying to find him.
