Yet, even more noticeable were the two horns protruding from her head and her distinctively brown skin, both indicating that she was a demoness.
“A demon, huh? Does that mean this place is some sort of demon realm where demons reside?”
This world was home to various races, and some races formed their own territories to live in. For instance, Elves established settlements deep within forests, Dwarves dug tunnels underground to create living spaces, and so on. Each race generally lived by its own rules.
Among these races were demons and humans, with demons being particularly powerful and often showing a tendency to look down on other races. They also possessed a cruel streak, oppressing other races. As a result, non-demon races usually tried to avoid any interaction with them.
Instances of demons appearing in human-inhabited areas were rare, and solitary actions by demons were even rarer. If there were a dozen or more of them, one could interpret it as an attack by a group on human territory. However, the girl being attacked by monsters appeared to be alone.
Therefore, I concluded that the land I had been transported to using the magic circle was indeed the demon realm. Though to be precise, it wasn’t quite like hell; it was more of a borderland with strange flora and fauna.
“Whoops, looks like I can’t just let this go.”
While I was contemplating my situation, I realized that the monster was about to deliver a fatal blow to the girl. Using “Super Analysis”, I found out that the monster was an “Ogre King”, an S-rank monster of the ogre king species.
Though a formidable foe for an average human, having faced more powerful opponents like Octopuses and Manticores, I knew I could handle this.

Startled and in pain, the Ogre King withdrew, but it quickly attempted a counterattack against me, rushing forward. Yet, its attack never reached me.
Without even turning around, I swung my sword backward, cutting through the air. With a thud, the Ogre King’s head rolled off its body, and its lifeless corpse collapsed like a cut puppet.
Naturally, the Ogre King couldn’t survive in that state. It didn’t rise again. Ignoring the defeated Ogre King, I turned my attention to the girl.
“Are you okay?”
“Huh?”
The sudden question seemed to catch her off guard, and she let out a surprised sound. As her gaze met mine, she muttered a few words.
“A, human…”
“For now, it seems you’re not injured.”
I said this while storing the Ogre King’s carcass in my storage and checking for any other monsters nearby. Confirming there were no imminent threats, I focused on the girl, who was still staring at me in disbelief.
While her expression conveyed her difficulty in believing the situation, I needed to gather information. So, I addressed her.
“I have a few questions. First, is this the demon realm where demons reside?”
“Y-Yes.”
The girl timidly answered my question. Right, before I extract information from her, I should introduce myself first.
“I forgot to introduce myself earlier. I’m Rolando, an adventurer, and as you can see, a human. And you are?”
“W-Well… I’m Sara. Just Sara.”
“I see. Let’s continue. Why were you being chased by the Ogre King?”
