Chapter 15

After taking our guest to her room, all of us walk to the dining room, where we have some kind of privacy.

"So, what do you think of our guest?"

Father looked at me while saying that.

"She is weird. One moment she is fine, the next moment she is in pain. However, I cannot judge her for it. I remember the first time I went a long distance using a carriage."

"Oh, yeah. I remember you also got sick after getting out of the carriage."

"Yeah. I prefer to ride a horse than that moving box."

This body is weird. I have motion sickness, but it is gone when I'm on top of a living being. I can ride a horse just fine, but my stomach starts to rumble and get hurt when I get inside a carriage.

"Anyway, she looks like a good girl~."

Dammit. I know that tone and look, mom!

"Haaa… I don't know her, mom. I don't want to move too fast and I also want to experience the world first before getting married."

"Fufufufu~ Of course~"

And she started scheming. Dammit. The mind of a mother who wants grandbabies is not something you want to know.

"Right… Anyway, Gwyn, I need you to take her around the city after lunch. Can you do that?"

"Of course, dad."

"Good."

~An hour later~

"I'm sorry for earlier, my lord."

"Don't mention it, dear. Sickness is something we all have."

"Thank you, Lady Cunningham."

"Fufufufu~ Please call me Aunt Cecilia."

Mom. Your smile makes her uncomfortable. Your scheme is already showing from the beginning. Your eyes have the word 'Grandbabies' in them.

"Ahem."

Dad to the rescue.

"Anyway, let's have some food first, shall we? The headache you have earlier is because you are hungry. Please dig in."

Dad is the first one to fill his plate, followed by mother before the rest of us. This was the noble etiquette I needed to learn and remember for the rest of my life. The lord of the house is the first to take the food, followed by his spouse or their parents; if they have not married, then the last one is the guest and the lord's children.

I take a bowl of stew, three skewers of meat and vegetable, three slices of cheese, and a loaf of bread. While eating the food, I hear my father say.

"I'm sorry to ask you while we are eating but can I ask the reason why you come here?"

Catharina wipes her mouth and says.

"Do you want a blunt answer or a long answer? I'm sorry to say it like this but I hear the southern people like more blunt words than a honeyed word."

Mother and Rachel cover their mouths as they silently laugh while father and I smirk at her. However, I stop smiling when I see her wince a little. I can see Rachel frowning and muttering something. I have a feeling it was something about my smile.

"I want the short and blunt version, please. You are right. We did not like long and honeyed words. As long as you are polite, we don't mind a direct and blunt word."

"Understood. Anyway, the reason why I came here is to ask for a business offer."

"Oh? Tell me more."

I ignored the conversation and enjoyed the food in front of me. I know that father will give me the short version of it later. I continue to eat my food while watching her from the edge of my eyes.

Why does she get paler and paler? What a weird woman.

|Catharina von Xenotra - Heiress of Baron Xenotra|

I hold myself to not flinch at the villain's glare. Why? Where? What? When? Who? How?

Am I doing something wrong? Or is it because he already knows the spy Jonathan sent here?! For now, I need to ignore him. I cannot show him any weakness, or he will eat me alive. In the game, Gwyndolin is an incredibly cunning and smart person.

He can exploit people's weaknesses and use them to his advantage. I cannot show him any weakness. Hold it together, Catharina!

"Hmmm, your proposal is good. However, I need to know the price for each vial."

"Of course, my lord. Usually, I will sell a crate full of vials the size you want for forty silver coins. That means one silver coin per vial. However, if you buy at least two thousand of them I'm willing to reduce the cost to thirty silver coins."

"Thirty silver coins, huh? Twenty."

"Ah, I will not get any profit then, my lord. We will send them here, you know? I cannot get lower than twenty-seven."

"Hmmmm… Very well. We have a deal. I will write a contract that you can bring to your Lord Father."

"Of course. It is nice to have business with you, my lord."

Truthfully, I profit a lot from this business. I don't need many ingredients; the main ingredient to make glass comes from my or my father's territory. Many did not know I could produce what kind of sand I wanted from my talent. I can create a Silica Sand through this talent.

Anyway, twenty-seven silver coins is a lot, especially when I didn't need to buy many ingredients.

"Fufufufufu~ With all the business is done, why don't Gwyn over here show you around?"

No! Please no! God! Please no!

I hold myself from gaping at Lady Cunningham's kind smile as she suggests that. You have the smile of an angel, but your suggestion is like the devil asking for my soul. Your son keeps glaring at me, and his glare gets deeper at your suggestion!

I give her a smile and suppress the panic that tries to get out of my mind.

"Of course, my lady. It is a pleasure for Heir Cunningham to show me around."

"Fufufufu~ You can call him Gwyn, you know? He did not mind you calling him that."

No. No. No. He did not like me calling him that. Look at him! He is still frowning at me! Look at him. He looks like a lion that wants to eat me!

"Of course, if Heir Cunningham allows it."

I smile at him and see him nod his head.

"Sure. You can call me Gwyn."

"Then please call me Cat, Gwyn."

"Sure."

Lady Cunningham's smile gets even bigger, and I shiver a little. Please, god, don't tell me she plans to try and make me marry Gwyndolin. I'd rather die!

"Fufufufu~"

"Ahem"

Lord Cunningham makes a fake cough and says.

"Before you go, I think you should take a guard with you."

"Of course, my lord."

I release a sigh and wait for the guard Lord Cunningham chooses to accompany us. At least it can't get even worse.

"My lord"

"Ah! Jullian! Come in."

Wait! Did he say Jullian? Please! Whoever can hear me! Please don't let it be the person I think it was! Please! I will become a believer in you if you grant me this wish! Please!

Dammit!

I look at the blonde man wearing simple leather armor and a sword on his hip. He didn't have his infamous armor and sword, but he was the person I knew. I saw him in my gameplay run in my previous life.

Jullian the Silver Lightning or known as the Strongest Mid-Boss to all players of White Lily.

Damn you, Murphy! I will stick a wooden log up your ass!
