Katsurandom So...I have said it a few times here and there how SH is behind like 1-2 chapters? Was it 3?

I have no idea at this point tbh....

BUT!

I was told that you fellas managed to put me in trending at some point, seeing the statistics page of my series showed me that...Indeed at least 3k people saw my series for some forsaken reason...So while I didn't noticed when it happened (AGAIN I ALWAYS MISS THESE THINGS ASDASDFSDFASDF) I thought to myself that I should give you something...

Now my backlog is like...13-15 chapters long? give or take.

Welp congrats, you are now up to date with RR, you both will update at the same pace. In a nutshell...Congrats you get like a few days of daily updates.

Now go read the chapter and stop seeing my ramblings .-.

"Now we have arrived at this, we are two months away from the end-of-year event." Agatha started the class again with that.

Hadn't we spoken about this last class too?

"I see that most of the class is aware of what this means, good." Agatha continued saying.

Was she missing something about this? She had read the syllabus this morning since it was weird that Rossie seemed to be more relaxed the closer they got to this date.

There wasn't anything on the syllabus for the months going to third year, she had mostly gotten here by grace of her test results, but most of what they had taught her classmates had been crammed into her head by serious studying.

"Oh right, Miss Starbright hasn't been with us long," Agatha said as realization hit her, yeah, she hadn't been in this class for long.

What was it? Why was everyone looking at her funny?

"Rossie?" Elizabeth asked to her girlfriend at the side, who returned her a shrug, she didn't know either?

Oh right, she had been with her most of the year...So she hadn't been coming to classes either. She wouldn't know.

"Well, most of our year has been spent teaching most of the theory stuff that you would need, you passed the transfer student test so you know what you would have learned here and some-" Agatha started explaining as she pulled a syllabus for the year, the same one that had nothing writing for these months going into the exhibition matches. "-And since we have learned all the theories...We now only need to practice independently."

"...Are you kidding me?" Elizabeth said as the news hit her, "I just arrived!"

This couldn't be, had she made all this effort to come to classes, to have a school romance with Rossie!

And they would go back to vacation!?!?

Was this woman crazy?!?

"Yes, but sadly that is how the school schedule was made, and since we are having a new [System] in place so we are experimenting with this new syllabus," Agatha said as she pulled out a notice, it had a weird logo with a nine-pointed star on it. "The [Nine Stars] have deemed that it would be in the best interest of you students to have a couple of months for self-practice."

The who?

"[The Prophet] emphasized that it would be best for the schools too, so while you will get free time to practice on your own, you can still ask us teachers for questions should you need anything. I personally will be at my office waiting for questions and open for you all. Please do come in the time allotted to our classes as I have several groups." Agatha said as she wrote their allotted time for classes and her office number for them to visit at their convenience.

And like that she left the classroom, what had they even come if this would be all she said?

This could have been an e-mail!

Either way, it mattered not, since most of the students in the classroom started speaking with each other.

So she turned to the pink-haired girl at the side, "So...what do we do then Rossie?" Elizabeth asked to her girlfriend.

They didn't have many plans made, she honestly just had thought her days would be full of classes, homework, and maybe some school drama...Perhaps a few love rivals?

Instead?

She got nothing, well, she got puppy eyes blue haired mage on the other side of the room trying to not look at Rossie, what was he even trying looking this way?

It was better than the other eyes that were boring into her nape, as in literally her nape, it came from the black-haired runaway hero of course. Akira was staring at her nape and licking her back with his eyes.

She of course didn't turn her attention to him, she only knew of this because her shadow dragons were informing her of his location and his overall behavior.

Also because the shadow dragon assigned to keep an eye on him was asking if he could launch an attack on the black-haired manchild. She of course...didn't grant permission. "Not yet." Was the order she projected at that shadow dragon.

She got the feeling of a grumble but in the end the shadow dragon seemed to follow her order, it was a weird feeling, having to negotiate or discuss her orders with her minions.

For something that wasn't supposed to have a [Soul] and that had acquired one from god knows where they were quite smart and alive and they seemed to get angry for her too.

She couldn't wait for Beato to come back, and then they could work on getting Sebas back too. But for now, she had more things to worry about. Like the last pair of eyes that were on her.

The eyes of the red-haired girl, the eyes of Watanabe Rena, the sword saint from another world.

The wounded puppy that followed an abusive owner, she seemed to gravitate her eyes towards her, and then caught herself in the act and focused once more on Akira.

Akira of course didn't take notice of this if her shadow dragons were something to go by, the girl at least was dressed more...decently. Her shadow dragons had given her a list of how she dressed in private or when going out with Akira. And she had ordered them to not give her that information again, lest she do something she would regret.

Not because it would make her feel bad, but because she wasn't sure that she could defeat Akira (Yet), she was leery of whatever kind of bonus he had as a [Hero].

Her own boost as a [Hero] was... impressive to say the least, she earned experience and levels so fast, so much faster than before. She wondered why Akira was only level 30 if he had this kind of boost since birth (Probably).

If she had it she would probably be nearing the level 70 or so, instead of having just barely made it to level 18 in a year, had he been wasting time? Or was it the change of [System] the one responsible for his low level?

Either way, it mattered very little to her. It made it easier for her to deal with him, especially if she managed to close the gap before the exhibition matches. She would try to get Rena free at that time, and maybe release her in a match...

But for that she would need more power, since the information she had gotten out of them was...Worrisome, after all, it implied that she could barely match him at level 20, and that wasn't considering skill shenanigans.

"Eli-Eli?" Rossie asked her, bringing her back from her musings. "Did you hear me?"

Oh, had she asked something?

If the advice her Mother had given her about how to respond was something to go by, then she should answer with honesty, as that is what she liked about Papa.

"Sorry sorry, I got distracted, got a ping from one of the scouts." The pink-haired girl seemed to regard her before sighing.

She turned her attention towards Akira who seemed startled by her attention and turned back to his notebook, Rossie seemed to glare at him, "We do need to deal with him, he hasn't been trying anything with me after I warned about castrating him... And seem content enough focusing on other students for now."

He was indeed toying with other girls on campus, mostly leaving Rena alone for now it seemed, she was happy about that, even if that meant that other girls were being toyed by his [Charm] as a [Hero].

She hadn't found any other girl with a resonance like the one she felt toward Rena or Michael yet, maybe she could try using her new [Eyes]?

She hadn't tried fusing any spell to her new sight nor had tried to test if she could cast through those eyes, it should be possible, in theory at least. Since she could manipulate her mana using the shadows as an intermediary, if she fed the mana and built the formulae using that sight and checked everyone around without exposing herself.

"So what do we do Rossie?" But that would be for another time, she had more important things to do right now. "Should we head back to our apartment? Practice on the arena? Study at the library?"

They weren't limited to going to classes after all, and if she had about two months to prepare (Again), may as well make the best of her time. While the new deadline wasn't as harsh as the one before, nor there were bad outcomes should she fail...Well, not particularly bad ones to her or Rossie.

It would be bad for Rena, but she was happy....kinda happy...She looked happy...

...Dang it.

"I was about to suggest to go back home yes," Rossie said with a sigh, was something going on? "But your face tells me that we should go to the arena and practice."

Her face? What was on her face?

"You have that worried face, like you will regret not practicing." Rossie said, was it that obvious?

She was a good actress! No way her feelings would be written on her face! She had practiced till the point it was a second nature to her!

What happened to all her reflexes!

"Oh right, new me..." Elizabeth came to the answer easily enough, this was a new body, and while it had some basic reflexes to live a normal life (And others she had built on the past months). She hadn't really practiced acting as the perfect student she was at [Avalon].

She had been quite lazy (Even if she trained as hard as possible) on her social dynamics hadn't she?

She didn't have a full list of everyone's name and contact information, nor did she know whose birthday was next week, and definitely didn't even pretend to care about who she said good morning or not.

She...had been just focused on Rossie, and on Rena's problems...And dealing with Michael's small talk here and there, and trying to ignore Akira's advances on her.

Hadn't her life lately gravitated toward the [Heroes]? What was this? A slice-of-life romance comedy?!?

..."I think that we could use that practice yes, shall we?" Elizabeth said as she stood and offered her hand to her girlfriend.

"Let's go then," Rossie answered as she took her hand and gave her a small smile.

Both girls ignored most of everyone around and walked out, Immediately afterward the room started gossiping about it of course. Michael didn't pay much attention and instead walked out after five minutes. Making sure he wouldn't run into Rossie or Elizabeth.

Akira and Rena?

They stayed back and talked among themselves, but Elizabeth didn't mind it that much, she knew for a fact that Akira was a piece of crap, so anything they spoke wasn't something she needed to know, her scouts would tell her anything she needed to know.

Instead, she focused on more important stuff, like Rossie. And giving her all the love and cuddles she needed!

Her Rossie was a high-care girl, after all, if one didn't cuddle her Rossies they would wilt!

"Eli-Eli, whatever kind of pun you are thinking, it isn't funny." See!?!?

She didn't cuddle it enough and now she was sulking!

"Dunno what you mean, I was just thinking how lovely you look!" Was the answer Elizabeth gave.

Rossie seemed to think about it for a few seconds and in the end sighed and let herself be snuggled, victory!

They ended up walking arm interwind all the way till they arrived at the arena, it was... mostly empty, very few people were around, and when they saw her some smiled at her and waved, but after a few seconds they noticed the pink haired girl on her arms and froze.

A few even went as far as scrubbing their eyes and looking again, it was quite funny to see as some even pinched themselves to make sure they were indeed, awake.

In the end, most decided that it wasn't worth thinking over and continued doing their thing, they, however, decided to take notice of where both girls walked towards. If nothing else, to make sure they gave them a wide berth.

So Elizabeth walked towards the far end of the arena to make sure they didn't disturb other people too much (And to snuggle in privacy), "Hmph!" And her Rossie hmphed as they moved past the other people.

So adorable!

It was quite good luck that the corner of the arena was empty by the time they arrived, someone had been practicing on it, but it seemed that they were done and had left by the moment they arrived.

Such good luck!

"So, what do you wanna do?" Asked the pink-haired girl when they arrived at that spot.

What indeed, she had wanted to practice her skills, and her fighting style needed refining, she wasn't quite sure how she wanted to go about it, she hadn't been too much of a fighter.

On one hand, she could follow what she had been doing before, the style of [Shadow Empress] was one to try and disrupt their enemies with overwhelming force. While the style of [Elemental Weaver]was one that tried to weave multiple spells to disrupt their enemies, and finish them off with the correct spell in a critical spot.

But she wasn't either of them, she was Elizabeth Starbright. And her new shift wasn't either, it had been...More different, it was still one that was similar to a Magical Girl, but it was more technologically oriented, more mechanical.

More...Armored too, what was her new shift then?

She hadn't wanted to give one to it, yet it had a name already. "What do you think I should name myself now?" Asked Elizabeth to her girlfriend.

"Trying to change name now are we?" The pink-haired girl smirked, "I don't mind taking your last name you know, it would sound better Rossalina Starbright. Elizabeth Singh doesn't sound as good."

That..."I didn't mean that!" Said Elizabeth as her face flushed, was Rossie already thinking of marriage?!?!

They were still young!

Granted, she wouldn't mind marrying the girl...She would look quite adorable in a wedding dress, and then they would...

NO!

FOCUS!

"I meant my [Shift] Rossie, the one I turned wasn't the same as before." Elizabeth clarified.

"It wasn't?" Asked Rossie, "I don't quite remember you using one before...But yeah, you did [Shift] a few times, didn't you...But my memory turns a blank on it."

That was...interesting, it wasn't quite important, and she wasn't sure why the memory showed a blank on it, but it surely wouldn't turn into a problem, "Well, I think I could probably turn them back on if I wanted, but for now I wanna focus on the new one. Since the older ones would probably limit me more, and the new one felt more free."

"But they all are you...Aren't they?" Said Rossie confused.

And while that was true, for some reason her [Shift] always felt different, just like how [Shadow Empress's Alice] felt like a different version of her, the [Elemental Weaver] was also something different.

So who was her new [Shift]?

It felt...not different, more like [Her], so shouldn't it be something close to her?

Yes, a smile bloomed on Elizabeth's face as she pondered about who she was.

"So you found the reason behind the name?" Asked Rossie as she looked at her.

"Yeah, I think I understand why it is called like that." It probably was something Mother had done to change the tone of her actual powers.

She had dove deep into the skill trying to uncover the name before the tampering and she had found it, and to be honest, she liked being [The Stardust Weaver], even if that wasn't the real name of her [Shift].

The True name of it was different, "Wanna know the actual name of this shift?" Asked Elizabeth as she made sure no one was near, nor could anyone listen in.

"That is something you shouldn't share, ever." Rossie said in a serious tone, "As Agatha said, most actual names are deeply connected with our most powerful magic. While most Magical Girls nowadays use the system skills, older and more powerful ones that follow the previous traditions still use magic tied to their actual [Origins]."

So there were Magical Girls using their actual [Origin] instead of what the system granted? Good.

"My actual name is [The Shadow Weaver]." Elizabeth said, and as soon as the words left her mouth, the connection she had with her [Soulscape] what she had been calling [Shadow Haven] became more solid.

Within she felt the presence of Nyx become more solid, and afterward, the presence of the link in force between Rossie and her became more solid too.

And Rossie seemed to notice that, "Thank you for trusting me with that." Said the pink-haired girl.

"I mean, I have given you my heart and soul, so a [Name] isn't much to give at this point," Elizabeth said without thinking.

Only realizing what she had said a second after saying it, her face immediately tinted red, and in reflex, she raised walls of shadows around both of them.

Blocking sight into their corner of the arena from everyone else.

"Eli-Eli?" Rossie asked, she...Didn't want to see her right now, not after saying something so embarrassing to her.

She had come to terms with her feelings a long time ago, but to state them so clearly, and in public?

"Yesh?" Elizabeth answered, was...Was she going to refuse her? She was aware that Rossie wanted to move to a more...physical part of their relationship.

That she was restraining herself for Elizabeth's sake, all because she wanted to meet her parents, to wait to resolve all of their problems before moving on.

"You are making it very hard to me, because when you come out from nowhere with those words I really [Really want to gobble you up]." And Elizabeth had no doubt about that.

Worse, she really wanted to let her, "Soon Rossie, soon...Just hang on, at least let us speak with your parents." But the important question was if she would manage to contain her.

And if she should contain her, why was she even waiting anyway?

Would it be that bad to let go?

...Oh, she may need to really think that through, because if she let go, only god knew what would happen...She would need to make sure Papa didn't know when that happened, or mother.

At least Rossie was good at wards.
