As Laura traversed deeper into the heart of the devastated city, Laura's senses remained on high alert, attuned to any signs of movement or imminent danger. The once bustling streets now lay desolate, the echoes of chaos and destruction reverberating amidst the wreckage.

Her resolve remained steadfast, her focus solely on the mission at hand. She had a task to fulfill, information to gather, and every second counted in unraveling the mysteries that lay within the heart of the fallen capital.

She looked towards the imposing silhouette of the castle nestled in the heart of the capital and decided to head there to look for answers. The castle, once a bastion of power and authority, stood as a sentinel amidst the desolation.

As she approached the castle, a question echoed in her mind: "Why was the castle not affected?" Laura thought.

The imposing silhouette of the castle loomed ahead, a stark contrast to the desolation that surrounded it. Laura's determined stride carried her through the debris-strewn streets, closing the distance to the castle.

The scene that unfolded before her when she arrived, however, was one of chaos. A throng of desperate survivors, seeking refuge within the perceived safety of the castle, clashed with the guards who staunchly prevented their entry. The atmosphere was charged with tension as the guards, resorting to force, pushed back the crowd, determined to maintain control of the castle gates.

"Hold the line! No one is allowed inside!"

"Please! We just need shelter! What good is a castle if it won't protect the people?"

"Orders are orders! No one gets in!"

The tension escalated as the guards stood firm, denying the desperate survivors entry. The pleas of the people became more desperate, the harsh reality of their situation evident in their voices.

"We can't wait any longer! If they won't let us in, we force our way!"

"We have no choice! Push through, everyone!"

The atmosphere turned chaotic as desperation fueled a surge among the crowd. The once-pleading survivors now resorted to more drastic measures.

"Hold your ground! We can't let them breach the gates!"

The clash was a whirlwind of chaos and desperation. Desperate survivors, fueled by loss and desperation, clashed with guards determined to uphold their orders to keep them out.

Laura felt a profound sense of unease and disappointment. The sight of people, driven to extremes by circumstances, now fighting amongst themselves instead of helping one another, sickened her.

"The front gate is a no go, gonna have to find another way inside."

As she moved away from the front gate, Laura's focus shifted to the top of the walls. The massive stone fortifications loomed above her. With the ongoing turmoil at the front gate, Laura speculated that guards stationed atop the walls might be diverted to reinforce the struggling defenses.

From ground level she observed guards rushing towards the main gates, leaving sections of the wall momentarily unattended. This presented a window of opportunity for Laura to break in.

"This is it." She muttered.

With a deep breath, Laura rushed toward the wall and channeled the demonic power within her. Muscles tensed, she unleashed a powerful punch onto the stones. The impact resonated through the structure, causing a loud crumbling sound to resonate and creating a hole just large enough for her to slip through.

"Hopefully everyone was too distracted to notice that noise." She said while peering through the hole.

On the other side lay a splendid courtyard untouched by any destruction that plagued the city outside. The courtyard's air of regal elegance was on full display and it would certainly be big enough to hold everyone trying to get inside.

Laura, slipping through the opening she had created, landed gracefully in the courtyard. Hugging the shadows of the castle walls, her keen eyes scanning for any signs of the guards having spotted her.

Embracing the shadows and skillfully navigating the outskirts of the castle, Laura managed to elude the heavily guarded areas on the outside. Her movements were precise, avoiding the vigilant eyes of the patrolling guards. As she circled around to the back of the castle, she discovered the castle's garden.

The garden, once a haven for noble ladies hosting tea parties and social gatherings, bore the vestiges of its former elegance. Delicate flowers adorned manicured pathways, and ornate benches hinted at the conversations and laughter that once graced the secluded space.

Moving gracefully through the garden, Laura took in the surroundings. The scent of blooming flowers lingered in the air, a stark departure from the smoke and dust that tainted the city beyond the castle walls. The soft murmur of a distant fountain added to the ambiance.

"Inferno."

In a bold move, Laura, without hesitation, conjured the power of her inferno spell. She unleashed a wave of intense heat and flames that danced across the once-tranquil garden. The vibrant flora and elegant surroundings were quickly engulfed in the chaotic dance of fire.

The crackling flames roared to life, casting an eerie glow across the garden as the inferno consumed everything in its path. The tranquil oasis transformed into a scene of destruction and chaos. The billowing smoke rose into the air, visible from a distance.

The sudden eruption of flames and the ensuing plumes of smoke drew the attention of the guards stationed around the castle. Their focus shifted from the main gates to the growing conflagration within the castle's garden.

"Fire! Secure the area! Call for reinforcements!"

With the garden now ablaze, casting flickering shadows on the castle walls, Laura moved swiftly. She secured a secluded position in the shadow of the castle wall and watched as a symphony of chaos unfolded. The guards, alarmed by the sudden inferno, rushed towards the source of the fire, their urgent commands echoing through the courtyard.

Laura, concealed within the shadows, observed the unfolding spectacle. The distraction she had orchestrated proved effective, diverting the guards' attention away from the castle's interior.

She approached the guards who were diligently tending to the spreading flames. The crackling fire and the billowing smoke provided cover for her silent approach.

As she neared the guards, Laura summoned the power of her inferno spell once again. With a swift and calculated motion, she unleashed a burst of intense heat and flames that engulfed the unsuspecting men.

The guards, caught off guard by the sudden eruption of fire, found themselves in the midst of a second inferno. Panic and chaos ensued as they struggled to contend with the unexpected attack.

As the men burned, their screams echoed loudly. Their death throes nagging at Laura's ears.

The garden, now ablaze with chaotic flames, cast a flickering glow upon the scorched earth. The once-tranquil haven for noble ladies' tea parties had transformed into a nightmarish scene of destruction. Burned corpses of the guards lay at Laura's feet, silent witnesses to the infernos that had consumed them.

With a determined breath, Laura pressed forward, crossing the threshold into the castle through the garden entrance. The crackling flames and lingering smoke served as both a barrier and a symbol of the turmoil left in her wake. The eerie ambiance within the scorched garden whispered of the secrets concealed within the castle walls.
