As Zero, Kale, Maia, and Lucas continued their exploration of the village of Seer, they couldn't help but notice the serene atmosphere that permeated the village. The villagers moved with purpose and unity, their treehouses adorned with intricate carvings and mystical symbols, preserving the village's rich history.

Lucas led the group toward a grand treehouse situated high in the branches of the Mystical Tree. It was more majestic and elaborately designed than the other treehouses, indicating its significance. The group ascended a spiral staircase that led them to the dwelling's entrance.

Inside, they were greeted by an elderly figure, the chief of the village, who exuded both authority and warmth. Elder Thalos was renowned for his wisdom and leadership, a figure of great respect in Seer.

"Welcome, travelers," Elder Thalos greeted them with a voice that carried the weight of many years. "I am Elder Thalos, the chief of our village. It's not often we have visitors from the outside."

Elder Thalos noticed the determination and the flicker of revenge in the eyes of the young visitors. He didn't waste any time and cut right to the chase, his perceptive gaze probing their thoughts and intentions. "Care to explain why you young ones are traveling with such revenge in your eyes?" Thalos inquired.

Zero, Kale, and Maia were taken aback by Elder Thalos' perceptiveness, but they decided to be honest and provide an explanation. "We are from a nearby village that was tragically destroyed. We stumbled upon this village by chance," Zero explained, his voice trembling with a mix of grief and determination.

The grand treehouse where they met Elder Thalos felt like a sanctuary, a place of calm amid the chaos and destruction they had witnessed in their own village. The wise elder listened intently as the three children shared their harrowing tale, their voices heavy with the pain of their recent past.

Zero began with a heavy heart, "Our village was once a place of joy and harmony, much like Seer. But everything changed when a group of mysterious figures, wearing black cloaks adorned with the symbol of a crowned goat, arrived. They worship some malevolent entity; we're not sure who it is, but their presence brought death and devastation."

Elder Thalos silently considered the information, connecting the symbol with an unsettling thought. "Black cloaks adorned with the symbol of a crowned goat... Perhaps these figures are followers of the malevolent god Seth," he thought to himself. He urged the children to continue.

Kale, his eyes glistening with unshed tears, continued the narrative, "They attacked without mercy, slaughtering our friends, families, and neighbors. Our lively village turned into a graveyard within hours."

Maia, her voice quivering, added, "We were the only survivors. We watched our parents die, and we were powerless to stop it. The pain of that day is still fresh in our hearts."

Elder Thalos was deeply moved by their story, his face showing the weight of his understanding. "I'm truly sorry for the pain you've endured. Your journey to find answers and strength is commendable."

Elder Thalos shared his knowledge, a grave look in his eyes. "I believe I know who that cult is. They are likely trying to revive an ancient god from the past."
