Moving forward without delay through the maze-like corridors, the trio soon entered a huge room where they found their targets.
"That's...three people, right?" Said Megumi as he looked at the detainees, or what was left of them at least.
One of them had his lower half missing, while the other two only had skeletons left which were compressed and merged into a single ball-like shape.
It appears that whatever killed them, had its fun toying with them.
"Atrocious" Called out Nobara as she held her hands together.
Hearing this, Itadori kept silent for once as he moved quickly toward the leftover upper half of the discarded body.
Doing so, he straightened the blue prison garment and read the name tag on it.

Reading this, Itadori's eyes couldn't help but contract as he remembered the crying old woman they just saw outside, calling out her son's name.
Thinking of this, he lowered his head and spoke in a calm voice full of hidden anger
"Let's take this body back."
"Huh?"
"It's that woman's son."
"But..."
"His face isn't too badly mangled, his mother won't accept it if we tell her that her son is dead, but we don't have a body."
However, Megumi wasn't having any of it as he walked towards Itadori and forcefully raised him up by the hood on his clothes.
"We have to find and verify two more, leave that body behind!"
"Quit joking around! We turned around and the way we got in here was gone! We won't be able to come back for it later!"
"I didn't say to come back for it! I said to leave it behind!" Howled Megumi as his eyes turned serious.
"I have no intention of risking my own life to save someone I had no intention of saving in the first place" He continued.
However, all this did was make Itadori angry as he clenched Megumi's collar and questioned.
"No intention of saving him? What do you mean?"
"This is a juvenile detention center, Jujutsu Sorcerers are granted access to all information about the scene beforehand."
"And?"
"This Okazaki Tadashi, he hit a little girl on his way home while driving without a license; It was his second offense of driving without one!"
Saying this, Megumi's voice lowered slightly and explained.
"I know you are stuck on saving lots of people and guiding them to their proper deaths; But what are you going to do when someone you save kills someone else in the future?!"
"Ugh...Then! Why did you save me?!!" Yelled back Itadori.
However, just as things were tensing up, Nobara suddenly shouted at both of them.
"Cut it out! What are you two doing?!"
Saying this, she then continued berating them as she acted as the voice of reason for the trio, which is quite rare.
"You idiots! Think about the time and place if you-"
*Swish*
*Blop*
Just then, before anyone could react, Nobara was instantly swallowed into a shadow-like hole that appeared silently under her feet.
Seeing this, the duo who were left alone, stood there in shock trying to figure out what had just happened.
'No way! Demon dogs should have sensed the curse!'
Thinking of this, Megumi immediately turned around just to find the dog dead and its head hung on the wall like a trophy.
Seeing this, he immediately realized the seriousness of the situation causing him to turn toward Itadori and shout.
"Itadori! We're running! We'll search for Nobara la-"
However, before he could finish his sentence, he suddenly stopped in his tracks as a white demonic figure silently appeared next to them.
Seeing this, he slowly turned towards it as a chill ran down his spine.
'There's no mistake, It's a special grade."
Right now, neither of them could move as fear overwhelmed their senses.
'I can't move.'
'Move! Move! Move! Move!'
With the duo stuck in place, both kept yelling in their hearts trying to forcefully take control over their bodies that were run over by instinct.
*Swish*
And the first to succeed was Itadori who immediately attacked the cursed spirit using the cleaver-like weapon he hung on his waist.
However, all this did was get the weapon destroyed and his hand cut off.
Seeing this, Megumi turned his head towards him in shock and fright not knowing what to do.
"Itadori?"
However, the latter was still in shock unable to process why he's currently missing an arm.
But thankfully, he quickly restored his calm as he removed his belt and twisted it around his hand to stop the bleeding.
Doing so, he called out to the only one he thinks can save them in this situation.
"Hey, Sukuna! If I die, you die, right? If you don't want that then help me out!"
It's just that Itadori chose the wrong person to ask help from as all he got as a response was Sukuna's malice.
"Nope! Even if the parts of me inside you die, there are 18 other fragments of my soul."
Stating this calmly, Sukuna then added, pissing off Itadori in the process.
"Still, Irritatingly enough, I don't have control of this body; If you want to switch, go ahead!"
Reaching here, one could feel the pure malevolence in Sukuna's voice.
"But once you do, I'll kill that brat before that cursed spirit can! Then, I'll go for that woman! She's a lively one, I'll have fun with her!"
Hearing all this, Itadori finally growled back
"I'm not going to let you do that!"
"I bet; But if you are too focused on me; Your friends are going to die!"
*Swish*
*Boom*
Following a powerful release of pure cursed energy by the Finger Bearer, a gully appeared in the ground as a cloud of dust billowed up.
Only now did Itadori remember that they weren't out of danger yet; So, all he could do was call out to Megumi waking up from his daze.
"Fushiguro! Fushiguro! Take Kugisaki and get out of here! I'll keep this one busy until you two are out, as soon as you are out, give me some kind of signal!"
Reaching here, his voice lowered slightly as he looked at the cursed spirit in front of him.
"Once you do...I'll switch with Sukuna!"
"You know you can't do that! Not with only one arm against a special grade!" Screamed Megumi in response.
"Look closer, it's having fun, it's obviously toying with us, I can at least buy us some time!"
"No!"
"Fushiguro! Please."
Hearing this, Megumi finally clenched his teeth as he then ran out of there, trying to look for Nobara.
*Sigh*
Finally seeing his friend leaving, Itadori gave off a long sigh of relief as he then turned his attention to the cursed spirit in front of him.
'A special grade huh...'
It's just that unknown to him or any person or cursed spirit there, a figure draped in a sliver cloak had silently appeared near them at an unknowable point in time.
And what was even weirder was that even though this figure stood in plain sight, no one was able to notice it.
"Tsk, Tsk, Tsk, so this is Sukuna!" Murmured this person as his golden eyes pierced right through Itadori, gazing right at his soul.
'Hahahaha, this is going to be interesting!'
