Nehemiah 7:2
I gave my brother Hanani and Hananiah the governor of the castle charge over Jerusalem, for he was a more faithful and God-fearing man than many.
Busujima smiled. "Thank you Aizawa-sensei," he said.
"My apologies Izuku-kun, but since I am more familiar with Momo-chan and trust her decision making capability I will have to go with her as my choice," he said politely. Of course he was going to choose Momo. He would probably need to spend more time with the deputy class representative than other students so why would he choose to spend more time with Izuku over Momo?
Izuku looked a little disappointed in the outcome, but also understanding. Probably his low self esteem making him feel that he didn't deserve to be class representative and that James made the right decision.
He slowly walked back to his seat.
Ochaco patted him on the back. "You did a good job!" she said trying to cheer him up.
Izuku gave her a somewhat miserable smile as if he was trying to put up a strong front.
Mina stood up from her desk excitedly. "Congrats guys!" she shouted.
Tsuyu nodded. “This might not be too bad,” she said.
Toru started clapping which spurred most of the other classmates to do the same giving them a small applause.
James looked over his subj... ahem beloved classmates with a warm smile. "Thank you all for your trust," James said despite only getting 1/5th of the votes available. If he hadn't decided to pretend to be a hero he could have easily entered politics instead.
Katsuki crossed his arms in annoyance and simply clicked his tongue. He didn't dare to say anything after what had happened with Himiko before.
"I guess it could be worse," Kyoka said.
“And Yaoyorozu was cool when we were going over the battle results!” Denki said.
Since the class representative selection had happened and James knew that meant the alarms would be going off over lunch he offered that they should all have lunch together to get to know each other even better.
Most agreed though Katsuki was quite reluctant. He didn't have any other actual friends to hang out with instead though.
The school cafeteria was absolutely teeming with students trying to recharge and enjoy a nice lunch.
They all grabbed some tables together. Even Shoto and Katsuki joined even if they sat on the outside of the group.
“Woah! There are a lot of people today too!” Ochaco said.
“That’s because everyone in the hero course, support course, and management course meet in the same place," Tenya said.
“This rice is so delicious!” Ochaco said. The poor girl.
Ochaco looked over at James' two heaping plates of food and had stars in her eyes. "Woah! So much!" she said in amazement.
"Yeah, my quirk consumes quite a bit of energy so I tend to eat a little bit much," he said.
"A little bit much? I wish I could get away with eating that much," Ochaco said staring at his plates that held enough to probably feed three or four regular people.
"Right? Right? I'm jealous. If I ate that much I would totally get fat," Mina said.
"Oh, if only I could turn invisible I wouldn't have to worry about that," she joked.
"Hey! I also have to watch my weight!" Toru said indignantly. She held up her salad as if to show how hard she was working. Despite being invisible her clothes would show if she was fat so she worked hard to look as cute as possible. Probably even more so than your average girl because she had so little she could show off with so it all relied on what her clothes could show. So being in shape and wearing stylish clothing was of utmost importance.
Himiko shamelessly fed him a bite of her food. "Try this!" she said.
"Oh! Mine too!" Momo said refusing to be left behind in any aspect.
Mina looked between her food and James. "Have you tried this already?" she asked. This caused the other girls to stare at her for her bold actions. They already knew something was going on between Himiko, Momo and James. They were completely unaware Mina had gotten closer to him though.
James shameless as always took the bite Mina was holding without batting an eyelid. "Mmm... That tastes pretty good too," he said.
Mina's pink cheeks turned red as she gulped staring at her chopsticks.
Denki looked a little bit sour. He had thought a new school would mean spring had come for him. Instead he got stuck in the same class as that handsome bastard which was ruining his dream. He was fairly certain at least half of the girls in class were into the guy and Ochaco who he had tried to hit on had ignored him in favour of Izuku. Couldn't he catch a break?
"I was really surprised by the outcome of the vote," Mezo said.
"I knew James would win," Momo said proudly.
James looked over at Ochaco. "I voted for Momo, but I wonder who the ones that voted for Izuku were," he teased.
Ochaco blushed and looked away awkardly.
James smirked, but decided to let her off and looking over at Tenya instead. "I thought you wanted to be class rep, so how did you end up with 0 votes?" he asked.
Tenya looked awkward. "It was hard but I ended up voting for Midoriya-san," he said.
Midoriya looked up at him in stunned silence.
"So it was you!" Ochaco shouted in surprise.
She looked at Tenya curiously. "“But didn’t you want to be class rep too, Ida? I mean, you’ve got glasses and everything,” she said.
“Wanting to do it and being suitable for it are different issues. I merely did what I judged to be correct,” Tenya said.
“Merely?” Ochaco and Izuku said at the same time.
“You don’t usually use that word…” Izuku said.
Tenya looked up surprised. “Oh that’s…” he said hesitantly.
“I’ve been thinking… Are you a rich boy, Ida?” Ochaco asked curiously.
“I tried to change how I talk because I didn’t want to be called that,” Tenya said with a defeated sigh.
