After a [Transfer], we encountered incredibly robust individuals.

“This is terrible.”

“In a way, I thought it was impressive.”

The extracurricular training building had very few resources. It was literally a building with only tables, chairs, blackboards, and some broken PCs… Some rooms didn’t even have curtains.

So, to live there, they would need to come up with creative solutions, which we believed the Drama Club members were capable of.

However, we didn’t expect it to be like this.

They looked just like indigenous people with their style.

It might sound rude, but they were clearly lacking in clothing, food, and shelter.

And now, they were preparing dinner by grilling a large piece of meat directly over an open fire.

…In a way, it was the epitome of fantasy!

“Ohhhh! Could it be? Could it be that you, the maid over there, are Maito!?”

Suddenly, a voice rang out, and before I could react, a person who looked like a local indigenous individual dashed toward me. It was truly a spine-chilling sight!

“Who are you?”

I don’t know any indigenous-looking acquaintance like you.

“Don’t tell me you forgot! We had lunch together during break time!”

“…[Clean].”

“Aww…”

With no room for discussion, I applied the [Cleaning] skill, and all the mud, dirt, grease, and blood on her vanished, and her black hair, which was previously clumped together, now fell beautifully over her shoulders.

“Hey, I’m all clean now!? How did you do that!?”

She is the president of the Drama Club and one of my few friends, despite our different interests. Her name is Chihiro Akashi, a sadly beautiful girl.

After capturing and using [Clean] on the indigenous people one by one to refresh myself, I observed Chihiro.

In terms of appearance, she looked like a princess from some otherworldly creature. Despite the noticeable fur coat, her clothing was quite simple. What stood out was the short sword made of bone; it seemed more like a stabbing weapon than a slashing one.

“Wow, this is amazing! It’s like straight out of a fantasy world!”

“It’s not as fantasy-like as Shidou’s though.”

The excited guys and Shidou were talking. It seems they are friends. Different groups of weirdos may have different types of weirdos, but they are still weirdos. Maybe we just resonate with each other. The Chemistry Club and Drama Club.

Now, Shidou was the vice president of the Drama Club. His appearance is that of a [Shaman], wearing what looks like an animal skull on his head and carrying a staff made of bones. In a way, it’s also quite fantasy-like.

Now, let’s talk about the rest of the Drama Club members. They all have a similar fantasy-like appearance. They have an impressive unity! Are jobs usually this unified? Even in the Newspaper Club, less than half had similar job-related appearances! And as for the Chemistry Club, only the Club President had a chemist-related job.

“Hey, Maito, are you a [Maid] by profession?”

“Yes. And Akashi?”

“An [Actress].”

…Not [Princess Mononoke] or [Indigenous Person] or anything like that?

“Actually, most of our members have similar appearances. At first, most of them were [Magicians] or [Swordsmen], but their professions gradually shifted towards this direction.”

According to Akashi.

Akashi was originally a [Dancer]. She had a graceful and swift attack style and specialized in various dances for special attacks, similar to Utagawa-san’s [Songstress].

The other members of the club had more typical professions, and they lived their lives accordingly. As mentioned before, this building was lacking in resources, and they struggled with their lives in poverty.

However, being a Drama Club, they couldn’t resist performing. By incorporating ‘theatrical performances’ into their impoverished lives, they found a way to endure. And the result was that they ended up imitating the indigenous people’s lifestyle.

They started doing it just for fun, but it became so intense that more than half of the members ended up becoming [Actors] and [Actresses] or something similarly terrifying! The remaining few were [Sound Engineers], [Lighting Technicians], and [Scriptwriters].

It’s an incredibly dedicated group, and it’s something I can’t imitate.

But surprisingly, this profession seems to be more potent than it appears. In other words, their true strength lies in ‘acting.’ They can become anything when they perform, it seems. Moreover, this applies to all the club members. They turn battles into a grand ‘theatrical performance.’

Although I couldn’t imagine what it would look like, I asked Akashi for a demonstration, and she readily agreed.

“And now, let’s go! The scene is [The strongest swordsman, whose lover was killed by a dragon, puts an end to the dragon]!”

As Akashi declared, the enthusiastic members of the Drama Club cheered and applauded.

“[This ends now…!]”

The moment Akashi delivered her line, the atmosphere changed dramatically. Oh, it’s amazing. It’s completely different from the atmosphere just a moment ago.

Akashi’s usual unfortunate girl demeanor faded, replaced by a tense and intense presence. She looks so cool.

“[My revenge and your life…!]”

With a loud voice, Akashi leaped to an incredible height, wielding the dagger she had before.

“[Uoohhhh!]”

And with a roar, she sliced through a rock larger than the length of her blade with a dagger that looked like it wouldn’t cut anything at all. Then, she landed gracefully.

Later, I heard that this was Akashi’s way of making a short dagger appear like a longsword—a skill that made anything possible! So versatile!

“[…I’ve taken down the enemy, Laura…] There you have it, the end! Thank you for watching!”

Once again, applause and cheers filled the air.

…Yeah, this performance absolutely deserves a standing ovation.

Akashi smiled proudly as if saying, “How was it?” We applauded her heartily in response.

After the lively dinner with the roasted bone-in meat, the pot-au-feu I prepared, and a large amount of cooked rice, we gathered for information sharing and alignment of consciousness.

Of course, that was not my job; it was something the eloquent President or Suzumoto would handle. So, I just kept sewing the bedding while they talked.

…They needed a clear image to perform their ‘act’, and to achieve that, they said they required plenty of information. Honestly, it was annoying! These guys are a bunch of eccentrics, in both a good and bad way!

After the boisterous dinner, which was at least ten times noisier than usual, we went on to explain how we were collecting classrooms. Also that there are about three other groups also working on gathering classrooms.

“That’s right… We are so different from you guys, the Chemistry Club. While we were just stuck here playing Survivor, you guys are doing all sorts of things, huh?”

This was probably thanks to the significant contributions made by Tsunomi-san.

And so, after the discussion and sharing of information, the night settled in. We returned to our respective spaces to rest, the Drama Club probably planning for their next ‘performances’, and me, as always, sewing and mending, ensuring everyone had a comfortable night’s sleep.

The Drama Club members apparently didn’t know that classrooms could be moved, so it was natural for them to stay close to their base. There was no urgent need for them to meet up with others or move around, so they never reached the conclusion that classrooms could be transported.

“If classrooms can be moved, we can help too! Where should we start gathering them?”

“After we finish with this building, we’ll probably need classrooms from 4F South. I haven’t been to the 4th floor yet, so I’m not sure, but the arrangement of classrooms should be somewhat consistent. Based on what we’ve seen on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors, I don’t think 4F South should be too challenging, as it doesn’t seem to have any unusual terrain or climate.”

True, the North Wing had lava areas and deserts, which were strange. But there were also places with abundant rice as far as the eye could see, so it wasn’t all bad.

After discussing and deciding that the Drama Club members would be responsible for 4F South, we took a break. Some of us explored the stairs to the 4th floor (everyone except me), and after assessing the situation, we planned to [Transfer] the Drama Club members there.

With the conversation coming to an end and the bedding fully sewn, it was time for everyone to go to bed.

…The classrooms in the Extra-Curricular Learning Building were also quite dirty, so I used the giant broom to clean them all up before bedtime.

I decided to sleep in the same room as the Drama Club members and enjoyed late-night pillow talk (about physics).

“Take this!” “I’m throwing it for real, gwaaah!”

…Yeah, in other words, we were having a pillow fight. But since all of them had some sort of ridiculous modifier, I was the only one left beaten up and bruised. It’s beyond my comprehension.

After that, we had the usual conversations under the blankets.

Not only sharing recent updates but also talking about things from a while back, like the atmosphere of a school trip.

“Do you have any intention of coming over here, Maito?”

“I don’t think so. All of you can be [Maids] now, right?”

Considering how they observed me so closely, I’m sure the Drama Club members can all act as [Maids] now.

“I wonder… You’re doing something quite difficult, Maito. But well, not perfectly, maybe just imitating it would be doable.”

Well, if it’s at the imitation level, then I guess there’s not much benefit for me to come over here, after all.

“What about you? Why don’t you join the Chemistry Club? I mean, not just Akashi, but all of you.”

“Nah, you see, if we were missing even one member, we’d be short on actors. And the sound department is even more critical.”

…The fighting style of the Drama Club seems to be a group that doesn’t function well if anyone is missing, and adding more members wouldn’t necessarily make it work better either. That’s just the nature of their group.

“Well, let’s both do our best, okay?” I said with a smile as I playfully ruffled Akashi’s head. Yeah, it’s nice to have someone on the same wavelength.

I felt tired from all the talking and went to sleep, but I woke up a bit early. It felt like someone had woken me up, but maybe I dreamt it. If I’m going to dream, I wish it were about eating something delicious.

Speaking of dreams, I usually dream about doing everyday chores or about myself dying. It’s always extreme!

Come to think of it, I haven’t been dreaming much since I came to this world. Maybe I sleep well here.

Feeling like I didn’t want to go back to sleep, I went outside, and for the first time since I arrived in this world, it was raining.

…I hadn’t realized that it could rain in this world; I had always experienced either clear or cloudy weather. It’s interesting to see that it can rain here.

As I listened to the sound of the rain, I noticed there was something else mixed in with it.

…Or rather, it’s more accurate to say that I didn’t notice it amidst the sound of the rain due to the darkness and the reduced visibility caused by the rain.

A faint sound, like a soft “pashari,” reached my ears, and it was unmistakably footsteps. However, these were not human footsteps, nor were they the familiar footsteps of Keterami.

Something was approaching from beyond the wall of rain, and it was getting closer.

I activated my skill [Far Sight] to focus my eyes and see through the darkness and rain. Despite the poor visibility, I concentrated and managed to make out the outline of the approaching entity through the raindrops.

It was a gigantic spider, and what made it even more eerie was that it seemed to be transparent, as if it were made of glass or something similar.
