The two of them walked forward, and just as they were about to reach the square, they noticed a vendor selling cartoon-shaped balloons and animal headbands nearby.

The headbands were all able to light up in rainbow colors. There were several levels of brightness, where it’d change at the click of a button.

They were sparkly and looked especially pretty in the dark night.

They caused people to subconsciously cast their gazes over there.

Shen NingXin looked in that direction and even saw her colleague Xiao Yang among the group.

This guy, who was usually such a male chauvinist, was currently wearing a bear headband with a pair of small glowing wings on his back, standing in place as he took photo after photo.

He seemed even more gleeful than his girlfriend.

Was it that fun ah.

Shen NingXin’s heart moved, and she inadvertently turned her head to look at the Qiu YiBai beside her.

This person was playing with her phone, and probably inspired by the scene again, was secretly writing up her feelings on Weibo like before.

“. . . . . .”

She’s been recording the whole day already.

Our President Qiu even posted about pretty flowers she happened to see.

When she’s in a good mood, she’d also add a photo, still a selfie taken in a tricky angle with her unchanging peace sign.

Every time Shen NingXin saw those photos, she’d feel cheerful for a long while.

As she thought, Qiu YiBai had finished posting her Weibo.

After Qiu YiBai exited the app and looked at the time, she discovered that there were still twenty something minutes until the performance started. She sighed, thinking how time passed by so slowly.

And when she turned her head, she suddenly found that Shen NingXin was currently staring at her with an inexplicable smile on her lips.

Seeing this, Qiu YiBai was taken aback and hurriedly asked her, “What are you doing?”

“President Qiu, we should go buy one too,” Shen NingXin said, stretching her hand out to point in a direction, “Look at how pretty those headbands are.”

She knew Qiu YiBai would definitely like them.

After all, this person was a childish crybaby who’d choose a shiny horse to ride on, pick a cute teacup to sit in, and even liked the little puppy A Ji.

Sure enough, as soon as her voice fell, Qiu YiBai’s eyes suddenly brightened.

Her lips also moved slightly, as though wanting to say something.

Shen NingXin knew that she’d pridefully say something that didn’t reflect her inner thoughts again, so she didn’t give her a chance to speak, tugging at her sleeve and quickly walking over there.

It felt different from when they made contact at the amusement park. Shen NingXin’s fingertips were cold right now.

Even though Qiu YiBai wore a coat, the coolness from her fingers was clearly transmitted through the fabric, so intensely that it was hard to ignore.

She was cold.

Qiu YiBai paused, and after a moment of silence, she took out the hot water bottle from her bag and handed it to Shen NingXin.

Shen then raised her brow, her tone strong yet awkward, telling her, “If you help me carry this then I’ll go. Otherwise, it’s too heavy for me to want to walk.”

“Alright, alright,” Shen NingXin replied, stretching out her hand to take the water bottle, then held hugged it with her left hand.

It was warm, like a big hot water bag.

So warm that even her heart warmed up with it.

“. . . . . .”

She still ended up buying two headbands.

Fearing that Qiu YiBai would refuse, Shen NingXin bought them in her name, but when Qiu YiBai wasn’t paying attention, she raised her hand and put one on Qiu YiBai’s head.

It had puppy ears~

It was round and adorable, and after putting it on, she looked as though she were a silly and simple-minded fool.

It obviously didn’t fit Qiu YiBai’s appearance, but Shen NingXin thought that it couldn’t be more suitable.

Seeing this, she couldn’t help but smile and quickly put on her pointed fox ears. She took out her phone to take a selfie with Qiu YiBai.

“President Qiu.” She smiled and moved closer to Qiu YiBai, tilting her head to the side. “Come closer here.”

These words actually suited Qiu YiBai’s thoughts.

She was just worried about not having a mirror to take a look at herself, so she softly agreed and stepped closer, moving her head into the screen.

Before she could express how nice the ears looked, she suddenly discovered that she seemed to appear a bit short on the screen.

Since it was necessary to walk a lot on this trip, she wore a pair of low heel shoes, and once she removed the height-increasing insoles, she suddenly became a few centimeters shorter.

Seeing that Shen NingXin was about to press the shutter, she couldn’t help but feel anxious and chose to stand on her tippy-toes in the end.

At the click, she became a head taller than her again.

She couldn’t help but smile happily, then turned her head and glanced at Shen NingXin, telling her seriously, “Send me the photo later.”

Shen NingXin didn’t say anything and smiled, simply nodding her head.

But when Qiu YiBai relaxed, she maliciously took a photo in secret.

Oops, our President Qiu’s been exposed.

Finally, the performance began.

The entrance scene was grand. To begin, many splendidly dressed actors swarmed together and danced to the music under the lights.

After a while, the lights changed, and a few people dressed as soldiers came up.

Words began to scroll through on the large screens installed on both sides, and upon looking, they were telling the history of the grasslands.

It was fascinating, easily making people forget about time.

After that, there was the Iron Flower Fireworks Show, a firework ceremony . . .

Shen NingXin raised her head and looked at the sky and somehow thought of this quote she once saw on Weibo.

“The most romantic thing is watching a fireworks show with the person you like.”

Almost subconsciously, she turned her head and immediately saw Qiu YiBai standing beside her, stretching her hand out to stroke the puppy ears on her head, a beautiful smile in her eyes.

“. . . . . .”

Did she like her? She probably did. Who wouldn’t like such a good-looking and capable boss?

As for romantic . . .

Forget it.

She sighed, then moved closer to Qiu YiBai, pulling out a piece of milk candy and handing it to her.

Her lips raised into a smile subconsciously.

But still, hanging out with this crybaby was quite fun.

By the time the performance finished, it was nearly 10.

Tomorrow’s itinerary was still full, and children were tired from playing, so everyone went to the hotel they reserved in advance to rest for the night.

It was currently travel season, so most hotels nearby were already fully occupied. Assistant Han could only book one that was some distance away, taking a little over half an hour to get there.

The time was neither long nor short, but it was perfect for a small nap.

So it was quiet on the bus at this moment. Almost everyone was closing their eyes and resting.

Expect for the Qiu YiBai next to her . . .

Shen NingXin looked to her side and found that this person was happily looking through photos on her phone, with no sense of sleepiness of her face.

Perhaps it was due to constantly working overtime.

Shen NingXin sighed and left her be, leaning back in the chair and closing her eyes for a short while.

When she opened her eyes again, they had arrived at the hotel.

It was a bit dark out, and except for Assistant Han who went down first to get the room cards, everyone exited in order.

Shen NingXin and some others sat toward the back, so they went down a bit later. But when they entered the hotel, they discovered that Assistant Han was still negotiating with the front desk.

After roughly making out what they were saying, Shen NingXin quickly understood. It seemed to be that the front desk had made a mistake when reserving the rooms. They forgot to reserve the two single rooms asked, and now there was actually not a single one left.

Now that it was so late out, the available rooms have long been occupied by other travelers. Upon asking, it turned out the only room left was a deluxe single room.

Shen NingXin inadvertently glanced at the Qiu YiBai standing beside her.

The two of them were the only ones who came alone, where the two original single rooms would’ve been perfect for them.

But now that there weren’t any, didn’t that mean . . . they’d have to sleep in the same room.

Qiu YiBai’s crying face that night suddenly appeared in her mind, startling Shen NingXin and slowing down her reaction.

Before she could speak, she saw Qiu YiBai step forward and nod.

“I don’t mind,” she said, “It’s so late already, let’s stop troubling over it and just go with it.”

“That works,” Assistant Han responded and stopped negotiating with the front desk, then turned to look in Shen NingXin’s direction, “Then what about you, Xiao Shen?”

The boss already agreed, so Xiao Shen could only agree, too.

Thus, Shen NingXin slightly nodded her head and responded that she’s fine with it, too.

After speaking, the matter was resolved.

The room cards were quickly passed out, and everyone happily rolled their suitcases to their rooms. Those who needed to shower, showered, and those who needed to rest, rested.

Only Shen NingXin was still standing in place, her expression a bit dazed.

How was she supposed to!

Qiu YiBai was too drunk last time, crying and acting immaturely, and only by seeing her as a child was she able to stay.

But today . . .

Shen NingXin quietly glanced to the side and saw Qiu YiBai directing some things to Assistant Han with a serious face. Her eyes were clear, and she didn’t even look sleepy, let alone drunk.

Shen NingXin couldn’t only sigh.

What was she supposed to do ah.

She rolled the suitcase into the room awkwardly, and just after she settled it down, she glanced to the side and found Qiu YiBai staring at the bed with a serious look.

What was she going to do?

Shen NingXin was a bit curious, and just as she was about to ask, she saw this person suddenly move.

Qiu YiBai first opened her suitcase, fumbled around for a while, then pulled out several pieces of clothing and threw them on the bed like rags.

She then sat on the bed and began to fix the clothes. When she finished, she created a whole straight line.

A demarcation line ah!

Shen NingXin finally understood.

She was dividing up territory just now.

She sighed, not expecting this person to be so dramatic. Just as she was about to say something, she caught a glimpse of something and discovered that her ears were red.

Turns out she actually knew how to be shy.

Shen NingXin didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, half of her nervousness now gone after all that.

As she tried to hypnotize herself that this person only had the mentality of a three-year-old and that there was nothing wrong with sleeping with her, she opened her suitcase and took out her pajamas.

Then she opened her mouth and asked Qiu YiBai which one of them should take a shower first.

“You can go first,” Qiu YiBai said, waving her hand to show her benevolence.

“Alrighty.” Shen NingXin was too lazy to argue with her and nodded, entering the bathroom with her pajamas and toiletries.

When she came out again, she suddenly discovered that the demarcation line was another level higher, where two pillows were placed on top at some point.

She was speechless.

She was stunned to the point that all of her nervousness disappeared.

“. . . . . .”

After half an hour, the two finally turned off the lights and laid on the bed.

Not joking, Qiu YiBai seemed to really have the talent to build fortresses. With the clothes and pillows piled there, Shen NingXin couldn’t see anything on the other side. Except for the movement of her turning over, she couldn’t feel anything else.

It was like she really was living in a single room.

Shen NingXin couldn’t help but smile, thinking about how amazing Qiu YiBai was. She then hugged the little doll she brought with her and began to close her eyes to sleep.

But just as she closed her eyes, Qiu YiBai suddenly called her from the other side.

Her voice was quite low and her tone mysterious. What was she going to do?

“What’s wrong, President Qiu?” Thinking she was uncomfortable, Shen NingXin hurriedly asked.

As soon as her voice fell, she heard this person throw out a question, “Are you able to sleep?”

What was she going about this time.

Shen NingXin had no choice but to follow along with her question. “I’m okay, what’s wrong?”

“Nothing,” Qiu YiBai said, “I just wanted to tell you to set an alarm so that you don’t get up late tomorrow.”

“I got it,” Shen NingXin replied with a nod, then asked, “Is there anything else?”

Qiu YiBai asked, “Is my water on the table next to you? I might get up to drink water at night, and I’m afraid I can’t find it.”

Shen NingXin got up and turned on her phone’s brightness to look, then nodded. “Don’t worry, it’s there.”

Feeling that her actual intention wasn’t this, she then asked, “Is there anything else? If not, I’m going to sleep.”

Qiu YiBai suddenly went silent, and a while passed before she responded, “It’s really nothing. It’s just that Assistant Han sent me a story, and it seems quite interesting.”

She asked, “Do you want to hear it?”

Aha, her intention was this.

It seemed like the childish side of her came out again. She was too excited to sleep and wanted to talk to someone.

“Alright.” Upon realizing this, Shen NingXin gently nodded.

Besides, she normally took a while to fall asleep. Since she couldn’t fall asleep just yet, it didn’t seem bad to chat with someone, so she agreed to Qiu YiBai’s proposal.

Shen NingXin adjusted the pillow beneath her into a comfortable shape to lie down on, then she leaned closer to the fortress and softly said, “You can start.”

As soon as her voice fell, Qiu YiBai turned on her phone and began to read, “It was another dark and stormy night. There was a strange sound coming from the last stall in the girls’ bathroom on the third floor . . .”

Shen NingXin: “???”
