Qiu YiBai had a dream last night.

In the dream, for some reason, she became a powerful horse that was full of vitality. She ran faster than cars, jumped higher than kites, and was at least two meters in length. No matter where she stood, she’d stand out.

The key thing was that she had a horn on her head. It was long, pointy, and colorful, glowing “bling bling” in the dark night.

Very magical.

Qiu YiBai was quite delighted at first, running back and forth around the huge commercial street.

However, as she ran, she suddenly felt as though her back seemed to be getting heavier and heavier.

She paused and looked back, a little displeased. But when she did, she almost fainted from the fright.

She discovered that Shen NingXin was sitting on her back!

Qiu YiBai was dumbfounded and immediately began tossing about her arms and legs. As she moved, she cried out in faituge.

After that, for some reason, the scene changed, and she was suddenly before her home’s security door.

At this moment, she wasn’t a horse anymore and turned back to a human, looking as beautiful as usual.

Qiu YiBai immediately became happy again. She opened the security door and prepared to enter the house to look in the mirror, but before she could, she found Shen NingXin inside in the blink of an eye.

She couldn’t help but be surprised and hurriedly asked, “Why are you still here!”

As soon as she finished speaking, she saw the Shen NingXin in her dream step forward and point at her head. “Why aren’t you running anymore! What a useless stinky horse, I don’t want you anymore!”

Qiu YiBai knew Shen NingXin obviously wouldn’t say such a thing.

But the Qiu YiBai in the dream still believed her. Not only did she believe her, she also felt incredibly wronged, beginning to sniffle and lower her head as she cried.

She continued like so until the next morning.

When Qiu YiBai woke up and got up, she discovered that her pillow was wet.

What kind of dream was this!

She paused, and remembering the absurd things in her dream, felt embarrassed. She couldn’t help but sigh and raised her hand to wipe her tears.

But when she lifted her arm, she felt as though it was about to break.

Why was it so painful, what exactly did she do last night?!

Her mind couldn’t be in more confusion. She only vaguely remembered that she went to dinner with Shen NingXin and that she had some alcohol, but she basically forgot everything else.

Qiu YiBai couldn’t help but panic, fearing that she had done something embarrassing. She soon decided to get up and go to the bathroom to wash her face and calm down.

But just as she put on her slippers, before she could fully stand up, she suddenly felt weak in her legs.

She couldn’t stand firmly and with a “Thump”, fell to the ground.

A sensation of pain arose from her skin making contact with the ground. Qiu YiBai felt like she was going to die from how much it hurt, all of her sleepiness disappearing.

Immediately, she discovered that her waist hurt, her legs hurt, and her arms hurt.

It was as though her entire body was falling apart . . .

Qiu YiBai: “???”

She was completely dumbfounded.

When Shen NingXin woke up in the morning, she was still concerned about Qiu YiBai’s state and instinctively clicked on her Weibo to take a look.

She thought that there probably wouldn’t be anything new, but after a casual scroll, she actually found something.

There were two new posts, both seemingly long at a glance, but the content was rather simple. One was full of question marks, and the other was to remind herself to be vigilant and never drink to the point she’d black out in the future.

It was also followed by multiple “boo hoo hoo” and “so embarrassing”.

Shen NingXin sat up on the bed after looking.

At the same time, she began to worry about if Qiu YiBai, perhaps, remembered something embarrassing.

It was still rather early at this moment, enough for her to go back to sleep, but Shen NingXin couldn’t put her mind to rest. After some hesitation, she decided to not go back to sleep, and instead, put on her slippers and got up.

After quickly washing up, she didn’t even stop to eat breakfast and simply hurried downstairs to catch the bus.

She even arrived at the company much faster than usual.

She came incredibly early today, so it’d be a while before her coworkers came. Looking around, she only saw Assistant Han, who was standing next to the printer and making copies.

Besides her, there was no one else, not even a glimpse of Qiu YiBai’s shadow yet.

“Ei, good morning, Xiao Shen,” Seeing her come in, Assistant Han promptly smiled and greeted her, “You’re so early today.”

“Yeah,” Shen NingXin also smiled in response, “I woke up a little earlier than usual today and thinking that there were still things to deal with, I directly came here.”

The “things to deal with” is in quotes, for it actually referred to the crybaby.

But that crybaby hadn’t arrived yet, so she couldn’t find the person she needed to deal with.

Thinking about this, she sighed, then exchanged a few words with Assistant Han and went to sit down at her workstation.

Typing on the keyboard, she opened her email and sent a few documents to the Production Department. Afterward, she subconsciously raised her head to look around.

There was still no one in the office, and Assistant Han was still busy with her task.

It seemed like she had a lot of copies to make, so it’ll probably take her a while to finish them all.

Perhaps she should help her.

Thinking like this, Shen NingXin stood up and walked toward Assistant Han.

“. . . . . .”

The efficiency of two people working together was evidently high. Assistant Han’s copies were quickly made, and upon looking up, she saw that this was completed much earlier than expected.

She couldn’t help but smile, thanking Shen NingXin from the bottom of her heart, then invited her to go to the cafeteria for a meal.

Her tone was kind and gentle.

Shen NingXin saw the kindness in her eyes and didn’t refuse, nodding as she accepted.

The two chatted all the way. When they almost arrived at the cafeteria entrance, Shen NingXin suddenly heard Assistant Han answer the phone.

It was probably a call from her girlfriend, and perhaps because she already revealed her sexual orientation previously, she didn’t bother avoiding Shen NingXin at all.

The conversation was quite intense, almost as though they were fighting and neither of them was willing to give in.

In the end, Assistant Han hung up the phone first.

Shen NingXin glanced sideways and soon found that the corners of her eyes were a little red.

Her lips were also pressed down unhappily, as though she was about to cry.

So she quickly asked in concern, “Are you alright?”

“I’m fine,” Assistant Han shook her head in response and reached out her hand to wipe the corners of her eyes.

After some silence, she then spoke again in a strong tone, “It was a f*cking idiot I was talking to on the other side! I’m not going to lower myself to her level!”

She sounded quite accepting about it and seemed to be in an okay state.

Seeing this, Shen NingXin let out a breath of relief. Just as she was about to say some more words of comfort, when she lowered her head, she discovered that the card in Assistant Han’s hand was about to be deformed.

Shen NingXin: “. . . . . .”

It was a teeny bit frightening ah.

While eating, Shen NingXin listened to Assistant Han talk about her love history for a long time.

For instance, the one she yelled at just now was the girlfriend she had been with for four years. Assistant Han was still quite young during that time, and when she liked her, she did so with her whole heart. That girl was practically all there was in her eyes and heart.

And she did a lot of silly things over the years.

But in the end, she still didn’t receive the response she wanted, and instead, wasted her precious youth.

After that, she was so angry that she decided to go to the bar and find someone to pretend with. She wanted to trigger that person and make her also feel a little sense of crisis, hoping she’d care more about her as a result.

Except, the person she met was someone she knew, and the courage that she finally gained went away just like that. Thus, afterward, she no longer had the nerves to look for another person.

Shen NingXin was taken aback when she heard those words.

The so-called “someone she knew” Assistant Han mentioned, wasn’t that herself?

Turns out . . . she unintentionally disrupted Assistant Han’s plans before.

When she realized this, she suddenly felt a little guilty.

At the same time, she was also a little worried, so after some hesitation, she tentatively asked, “Then what happened after that?”

“Not long afterward, she said she wanted to break up with me, saying that she stopped having feelings for me long ago,” Assistant Han responded with a smile, a bit of bitterness in her eyes, “It was me who kept disagreeing and that’s why we’re still entangled till now.”

“But after returning from the trip, I finally understood,” she said, and probably perceiving Shen NingXin’s concerns, she quickly smiled and patted her on the shoulder, “There are so many beautiful things and an immeasurable amount of beautiful scenery. Why must I spend every day caring about her so much? If I have this time, wouldn’t it be better to spend it on other things?”

Now she really seemed open-minded.

She also no longer angrily tortured that card. Seems like she really figured it out.

Shen NingXin finally let out a breath of relief. Just as she was about to say something, she heard Assistant Han actually start comforting her.

“Xiao Shen, take these things with a grain of salt,” she said, a smile in her eyes, “Don’t take it too seriously. My situation may just be a special case. Love is still very beautiful.”

“While you’re still young, enjoy life,” she said, “I mean, look out at our office, so many people have partners, like Xiao Sun ah, Xiao Yang ah . . .”

She listed the names of many people.

But there was no Qiu YiBai.

Shen NingXin didn’t know what was wrong with her. When she heard Assistant Han talk about this matter, Qiu YiBai’s face actually appeared in her mind.

“Then . . .” She was a little curious, and after being silent for a while, she couldn’t resist asking Assistant Han, “Then what about President Qiu?”

As soon as her voice fell, Assistant Han smiled.

“President Qiu ah,” she waved her hand in response, her tone playful, “It’s better if you don’t ask. I think all she has in her heart is work.”

“I’ve worked with her for so long, and I’ve never seen her have feelings for anyone, let alone date someone. This person looks like an undeveloped boulder, cold and incomprehensible. It’s pointless talking to her.”

“I reckon ah, she probably wants to spend her entire life with the company.”

Speaking honestly, Assistant Han’s words seemed quite right.

Shen NingXin contemplated as she walked, and the more she thought about it, the more reasonable she thought her conclusion to be.

When they walked to the elevator, Assistant Han suddenly remembered she had to do something and needed to leave.

Shen NingXin said goodbye to her, then raised her hand and pressed the elevator button.

She lowered her head as she waited, playing with her phone. When she finally looked up again, she suddenly discovered there was another person next to her.

She was taken aback and subconsciously moved to the side. She then realized that this person was actually Qiu Yibai.

And it was a Qiu YiBai wearing sunglasses.

Shen NingXin was silent for half a second, then quickly figured it out.

She cried so much that her eyes were swollen!

“Qiu, President Qiu . . .” she was incredibly worried and wanted to ask, but before she could say anything, Qiu YiBai pulled her aside by the corner of her clothes.

Next to the window, there was a storage room where few people passed by. It was a rather hidden place.

It’s as though they were about to engage in some illegal transaction.

Shen NingXin was dumbfounded and decided to not say anything. With a dazed expression, she waited for Qiu YiBai to speak.

She saw Qiu YiBai raise her head and look around. After she was sure that there was no one nearby, she finally felt relieved and slowly approached Shen NingXin.

Her tone was also very unfriendly, where each word was almost gritted out from the spaces between her teeth. “Shen NingXin, what exactly happened last night?”

Sure enough, she wanted to ask this.

But we have to talk about what you remember first.

It was hard for Shen NingXin to say, so she could only deny, saying that she also got drunk and didn’t remember anything.

“Don’t lie to me!” For some reason, Qiu YiBai didn’t believe her and wouldn’t give up. “You didn’t even drink last night!”

Shen NingXin: “. . . . . .” Why must you remember this so clearly?

She sighed and thinking that because this person had walked for so long while carrying her on her back last night, she definitely felt pain all over when she woke up. Thus, Shen NingXin honestly confessed to the fact that she carried her.

She then also remembered that this person had posted a Weibo last night and probably saw it this morning. As a result, she made up a lie, saying that she said something wrong and made Qiu YiBai angry. The two then grew unhappy over this issue and decided to go their ways in the end.

“Anything else?” Qiu YiBai asked after listening with full attention.

Shen NingXin quickly shook her head. “No, nothing else at all.”

Her tone and the look in her eyes were both firm.

Hearing her words, Qiu YiBai stared at her. Seeing how righteous Shen NingXin’s expression looked, she let out a gentle sigh of relief.

Her body also relaxed, and with a light cough, she adjusted her clothes, then waved fiercely as she said to Shen NingXin, “Go, get on the elevator.”

Shen NingXin sighed internally and hurriedly followed her into the elevator.

After resolving her worry about last night, Qiu YiBai quickly found her composure. Remembering that the contract with the Korean client was about to be signed today, she immediately became a little happy.

She even took out her phone and enthusiastically responded to a few emails.

This was just like what Assistant Han said . . .

Seeing this, Shen NingXin shook her head. But she still felt curious, so in the end, she asked politely, “President Qiu, you’re so busy every day, do you still have time to manage your life?”

Qiu YiBai turned her head when she heard the words. “To what do you refer to?”

Shen NingXin: “For example, having meals with friends, playing games, watching movies, or . . . dating?”

She was really curious.

But she also knew that Qiu YiBai might refuse to answer out of pridefulness, so she prepared for that in her heart.

However, she didn’t expect this person to respond as soon as her voice fell.

“I do sometimes,” she said, “After all, you have to relax appropriately after work.”

“But there’s no need for dating. I don’t have the time or energy.”

She said, then raised a brow, smiling indifferently. “And I’m not interested in it at all.”

“. . . . . .”

Was that so?

Shen NingXin didn’t expect her to say that and was stunned for some time, not saying anything for a while.

But Qiu YiBai didn’t let the atmosphere go silent, and after thinking for a moment, she continued to speak.

“Shen NingXin, why are you asking about this?” she said, and for some unknown reason, she came to such a conclusion, “Is it because you want to date, so you’re beating around the bush to ask me ah?”

“Do you really need to ask your boss for permission to date?” she said, and believing there to be something strange, she then put on a stance where she was about to press for answers, “Or is it because you fancy someone in our company and want an office romance?”

Shen NingXin: “. . . . . .”

Please stop talking.

This person actually became silent.

Qiu YiBai looked at her, and the more she thought about it, the more she felt as though she was right and couldn’t help nodding her head in affirmation.

Still unforgiving, she raised her eyes to look at Shen NingXin’s face, unable to stop the cold “Hmph”. “Beware of a decline in efficiency. If you don’t complete the work well, I will deduct your salary.”

So fierce and black-hearted.

You really are amazing.

Shen NingXin even wanted to clap her hands.

As expected of our President Qiu . . .
