Xiao Yun really is about to be angered to death.

Why is it that towards everything other than games, this person is always so “free and easy”?!

She can’t be bothered to berate him, so she simply hangs up.

Qin Fei also drops his phone powerlessly: “Really… I am very serious, okay.”

Saying this, he scrawls another few signatures on the paper. There’s not one that manages to satisfy him, so he crumples it into a ball, tossing it into the wastepaper basket at his feet.

Just when he is getting bored of it, the phone suddenly vibrates several times in succession.

Qin Fei intuitively picks it up, sliding to unlock. Upon seeing five drafts from a certain someone on QQ, he can’t resist a chuckle.

Qin Fei: Even though the mouth says no, the body is actually quite honest?

Xiao Yun: Don’t push your luck. You’ll lose me very easily like that.

Qin Fei: Haha. In any case, thanks. You’re still the best one to me after all!

Xiao Yun: Scram.

Qin Fei shrugs and clicks open the five drafts in succession. After serious deliberation, he picks the fiercest yet simplest one to learn. He swiftly grabs a piece of rough paper to begin imitating.

It shouldn’t be left unsaid, but having a tsundere older cousin as their manager really is too good.

The matter of the autograph is finally resolved, but now, there is a new problem – When and how can he casually pass the autograph to Jing Yu?

The next day, after waiting for Qin Fei to get up, Fang Luofan runs through the five people’s problems that had surfaced in the training session the night before. After having their breakfast, the team immediately returns to practice.

A five-person taxi will naturally encounter a five-person taxi. However, maybe it’s because Jing Yu is still at Diamond rank, the enemies they’re matched to aren’t very strong.

pg naturally wins without an ounce of pressure. However, since the Coach set the rule “Every match must extend beyond 30 minutes”, everyone can only squeeze their brain juice to find ways of dragging out the latter half. Even Qin Fei begins to let out the waters**:

(**Letting out the waters 放水: Let victory slip; to help out the foes)

“Yiming, come back. Don’t kill other people.”

“Ye Zi, that’s enough. You killed your opponent so many times. You should also let them kill you once ah.”

“Jing Yu, stop playing so well. You’ll give me a lot of pressure.”

Jing Yu: “……Wei**, dragging out the game shouldn’t be done like this ba?”

(**Wei 喂: Hey; Oi)

time, it is Jing Yu’s turn to direct:

“Mage, don’t zone out. Co-op Black Serpent with me.”

“Marksman, destroy the tower ya!”

“Support, keep up. Don’t fall behind.”

“Not good, they’re about to snatch the Dragon… Err, let them snatch ba.”

Hence, pg‘s entire team evacuates the Demonic Dragon’s parameters. After meekly and gingerly taking down the Demonic Dragon, the five enemies are all flabbergasted.

What’s happening? Are they waiting to ace us once we take down the Dragon?

Yi… They’re not catching up.

In this fashion, under Jing Yu’s command, pg manages to drag out the game by relying on the method of clearing the Dragon Army.

Once the time limit is passed, without needing to be reminded, every member of pg suddenly opens a slaughter fest as if invigorated, crushing the enemy to the point where they are all permanently traumatized.

Qin Fei thinks this method is not bad at all. Thus, he begins to emulate:

“Let them attack the Dragon… But I have to say. You guys, if you’re sightseeing, then make sure you sight-see properly. Don’t stand so close. You’ll scare other people.”

Jing Yu also keeps up this pace:

“Good. They’re opening attack on the Dragon. Team, let’s return… Mage, what are you doing? Don’t harass other people.”

Subsequently, Qin Fei even directly posts into the message box:

【Team】pg-Sleep (Mad Bones) : The dragon has refreshed! Enemies hurry up and attack!

Enemies: ? ? ?

Just like that, within one afternoon of practice, although it is questionable whether pg‘s latter half has truly improved, their familiarity with clearing the Dragon Army has upped a few notches.

Besides that, Jing Yu has also discovered a few rules in those handful of times where Qin Fei issued a serious command — He almost never orders his teammates to retreat. Most of the times, he will at most drop a line when it’s necessary. For example:

“I’m here. Ye Zi, attack!”

“Old Han opens Team Battle. Team, attack!”

“I’m opening Team Battle. Right now. Attack!”

Jing Yu follows suit:

“I’m here. Mage, charge.”

“Support opens Team Battle. The rest follow.”

“I’ve CC’ed them. Ace them, now!”

That afternoon, Jing Yu kept using Frozen Heart. By the time the clock hits 5, the team more or less has already gotten used to Frozen Heart’s tempo.

Jing Yu and Ye Hong coordinate pretty well to begin with. But after maxing out the strengths which Jing Yu pinpointed, there were a couple of times where they overturned the disadvantage they intentionally created.

Qin Fei’s solo-laner also grew bolder by the game, causing Luo Yiming to can’t resist poking fun at him:

“Fei Ge, you’re already so fierce by yourself. You can totally ace them alone ah. Why do you still need us?”

Luo Yiming’s situational awareness is most likely the only thing that didn’t improve any.

As a marksman whose forte is supposed to lie in long-range battles, he just likes to battle close-range. Moreover, he often takes the higher ground when it comes to these dogfights. It shouldn’t be left unsaid, but Luo Yiming’s motion control is excellent, his responses are quick, and the enemy marksman almost never lands an Ult on him.

However, precisely because he pins every ounce of his attention on the enemy, Luo Yiming is only rarely ever able to detect other foes in the area. Even if Jing Yu reminds him, it’s rare for him to be able to escape the enemy jungler’s claws.

In time, Jing Yu gives up reminding him. Instead, he switches to another strategy — Decoy!

Thinking about it carefully, there’s no one more suitable than Luo Yiming as a decoy. This is because even he himself doesn’t realize he is a decoy.

Thus, you have the following scene:

Two marksmen are interlocked in a ferocious dogfight when suddenly, a jungler charges out! In the end, even before this jungler manages to do a single thing, Frozen Heart floats out of nowhere, lunges at him and directly Ults, ganking with a combo attack.

Jing Yu doesn’t eye the enemy marksman. He only eyes the enemy jungler. With him around, nobody thinks about touching a single hair on Luo Yiming!

—En? Suddenly, he feels like he’s quite gong?

In any case, they reaped a fair bit with this one afternoon of training.

After dinner, five people sit before the PC’s, quietly awaiting SoS‘s arrival.

What they don’t know is — Simultaneously, in Demon Lord’s game forum, a single topic titled “pg can’t win without having their Dragon snatched?” is all the rage.

0L: Like the title says. OP and roomies got into a five-person taxi. Both times, we got auto-matched to pg. Emotionally, we took down [img][img][img]. Cough. This isn’t the main point. The point is, when OP is fighting, I noticed a very suspicious thing. Before we snatched the dragon, we could still somewhat force a stalemate with pg. Really. If you don’t believe, look at the map. [img] But the thing is, we took the chance when pg had their guard down to snatch the Dragon. Then, pg‘s play changed entirely! This is the us after snatching the Dragon. [img] Don’t you think it’s very weird? pg before and after snatching Dragon are clearly two different teams ah!

1L: Fuck! That last map is too tragic! Let me ache for OP a bit. Then, I want to say — Snatching the dragon is an unforgivable sin! OP deserves it. (Runs with wok over head)

2L: Hahaha, Big Bro, you’re too bad la! Patting OP. Must be that pg fooled around too much and got scared after losing the dragon. Then, they decided to play seriously ba?

3L: OP also met pg?! Me too! After snatching pg’s dragon, we got pressed down on the floor and grounded in! Heavens, that was too scary!

4L: It can’t be? We’re the same here! Initially, the game was still ok, then after snatching the dragon, pg pinned us down and taught us a lesson!

5L: Holding grubby paws with 3rd and 4th Bro! We met the same situation! Originally still thought we could win, but after snatching the dragon, we suddenly realized pg fought like they got unsealed. Every member was totally possessed by a war god. Man, that fight was frenzied!

6L: HAHAHAHAHA! pg breaking a seal, you’re killing me!

7L: Fuck, is this real or fake? pg must definitely lose the dragon before they can win? What kind of kooky tactic is this?

8L: Woah! Looking at this title, I still thought I was the one who sent it. Did the people upstairs all snatch the dragon? We did not! Our dragon is gifted to us by pg HAHAHA! Fei Ge directly sent a line into our message box, “Giving you the dragon”. I snapshot it! [img]

9L: word Ma**, this really seems like some kind of new, secret ploy. time anyone matches up with pg, how will they dare to snatch the dragon?

(**word妈: sounds like wo de ma, which is my Ma; Heavens)

Not even twenty minutes later, this topic has accumulated over a few hundred levels. pg‘s five members are completely left in the dark, diligently listening to Fang Luofan’s assessment of SoS.

Fang Luofan: “SoS, this team, is similar to Ane. The support is the one in command. However, unlike Ane, SoS‘s support favours healing-type demons. He’ll often follow the marksman around, and he’s quite set on the marksman’s survival. This practice match will be like last time; I won’t give too many instructions. You guys do as you see fit.”

“No matter which team we’re battling, killing the marksman is always the way to go!” Luo Yiming rubs his knuckles against his hands, eager to begin, “Leave this arduous task to me ba!”

“Go ba! You’re the man who has to quintuple-kill!” Han Leng pats Luo Yiming’s shoulder twice.

“This time, I’ll still be the one in command?” Jing Yu look to Qin Fei by his side, requesting his opinion.

Qin Fei doesn’t even turn his head and tosses out: “Of course.”

“Then this time, whatever demons we’re banning, you’re all listening to me, right?” Jing Yu definitely won’t let treacherous actions like banning the support, snatching the support happen ever again!

Qin Fei chuckles: “It’s all in your hands.”

Qin Fei is handsome to begin with, but when he smiles, it’s as if he’s radiating light. Even if it’s just his side-profile, it still causes Jing Yu to zone out for a second.

Quickly snapping back to reality, he fixes his gaze on his own screen, subtly taking a deep breath.

Soon enough, it’s 6 pm. Fang Luofan relays the session number and passcode which he received from the other team. pg click into the session one after another.

Once both parties have completed these steps, they proceed to enter ban & pick session. This time, pg receives the advantage and gets to ban first.

Jing Yu immediately says: “Ban Camael!”

Han Leng obediently bans Camael. This OP marksman is a character Luo Yiming isn’t good at using, so the opponent shouldn’t even think about using it.

And then, it’s SoS‘s turn to ban demons again. After discussing a bit, they finally decide to ban Nine-Tailed Demon Fox — Ye Hong’s lifeline.

Ye Hong makes a wee smile. He isn’t angry. Not in the slightest least…… He will smile and survive this.

“Ban Black Serpent.” Jing Yu once again orders.

Ye Hong immediately bans Black Serpent. Not letting him use his lifeline. He won’t let the enemy use this OP mage either!

After another round of struggles, SoS bans Satan.

Seeing their decision, Luo Yiming’s eyes light up: “I have a feeling, this time, my lifeline might just be let out!”

Jing Yu hesitates, then replies: “In that case, let’s ban Centaur, snatch Cupid.”

“Received~” Luo Yiming enthusiastically bans Centaur.

To date, pg has eliminated two of the OP marksman, leaving only Dark Cupid. That is the only character that can go head to head with Camael and Centaur.

If they’re really able to snatch Dark Cupid, then it will be a huge benefit in this practice match. It might even be impossible to not win!

Yet, dreams are always that sweet.

This time, SoS doesn’t hesitate. They smoothly ban Dark Cupid.

Luo Yiming: “……”

Jing Yu: “……My condolences.”
