Nawaki couldn't shake the feeling that Grandma Mito might have noticed something unusual about him. Despite her normal demeanor, he sensed she might have discovered something. However, he wasn't entirely sure, especially since his usual sense of foreboding was absent.

Upon reaching the training ground, Nawaki found Mikoto and Kushina engaged in a spar. He stopped a few meters away, choosing not to interrupt their session.

The duel seemed to favor Mikoto. Despite enduring a few scratches, Kushina persistently continued her assault even after falling. The bout went on until Kushina no longer had the strength to rise. Her large chakra reserve meant she could keep going for a long time, but even then, in a real battle, she would have fallen multiple times to Mikoto.

"Hi girls," Nawaki announced his presence once their duel concluded.

"Hi~" Kushina, still catching her breath, waved to him languidly.

Mikoto glanced at Nawaki and smiled softly. "Hi, Nawaki. Did you finish what you were doing?"

"Yes," he smiled back. "I had an epiphany trying to master something, and it took longer than expected, so I got delayed."

"Oh?" Kushina's interest was piqued, wondering if his recent learning involved Sealing Techniques.

Realizing what Kushina might be thinking from her sparkling eyes, Nawaki chuckled, "Hehe, it was something surprising, but not related to Sealing Techniques."

"Mm..." Kushina's interest waned slightly.

Mikoto waited to hear more about what Nawaki had learned, but soon realized he didn't seem inclined to share further. So, she shifted the topic, "Did you see our fight?"

"Yes, I caught the tail end of it," Nawaki responded.

Moving closer, Nawaki positioned himself just a few meters from Mikoto and Kushina.

"The power levels between you two aren't vastly different," he observed, smiling at them. "Mikoto has a slight edge, but Kushina's main shortfall is experience. With continued training with us, she could catch up quickly."

"I've thought the same," Mikoto agreed, her composure indicating maturity beyond her years.

Such an attitude was admirable, especially among young ninja where competitiveness and reluctance to acknowledge a peer's advancement were common.

Nawaki engaged in a conversation with the two for about ten minutes. During their talk, it was evident that Mikoto and Kushina had quickly become close friends, sharing a strong mutual affinity. For Nawaki, this camaraderie was beneficial, particularly for Kushina.

"I'm going to start my training now. You two can rest and watch if you like," Nawaki suggested.

The girls exchanged a glance, then moved back slightly but stayed to observe.

Nawaki began with stretches, followed by basic training with ninja tools. He noticed a significant improvement in his ability to target from a distance, his shuriken and kunai hitting the bullseye with remarkable accuracy.

Next, he moved on to Taijutsu, incorporating wind to enhance his speed. To Kushina and Mikoto, it appeared as if he vanished and reappeared intermittently. His kicks and punches created thunderous sounds, yet surprisingly, they didn't generate gusts of wind.

Kushina and Mikoto couldn't understand why this was happening.

Unbeknownst to them, Nawaki was consciously controlling the wind to prevent his strikes from damaging the training ground, unaware that this control was leaving the two spectators baffled.

As Mikoto and Kushina were present, Nawaki refrained from testing his newly awakened power, not feeling any immediate urgency. He planned to enter the hunting dimension later that night, considering it the ideal place for experimentation.

He discovered another aspect of his skills: using the wind to enhance his sensory perception. This technique proved more effective than he anticipated, allowing him to detect even the most inconspicuous creatures like rabbits or birds. He employed this enhanced sense to ensure no one was observing their training.

With the area confirmed as private, Nawaki proceeded to the next stage of his training. The wind around him intensified, his hair fluttering in the swirling air that formed slender wind pillars above his head. One of these pillars twisted into a boomerang shape.

"Go," he commanded.

The wind boomerang sliced through a wooden target, splitting it in half. Then, another wind boomerang followed, further dividing the target into quarters. The wind continued to orbit Nawaki, replenishing the pillars as he used them. By the time he reached the final target, he had segmented it into eight pieces before it collapsed.

Kushina's eyes shone with admiration. "Nawaki is so strong," she whispered in awe.

Mikoto, contemplating a test, threw a kunai towards Nawaki.

"Beng!"

"Wind Barrier," Nawaki uttered quietly.

The swirling wind transformed, forming a barrier that halted the kunai.

"Redirection," he said calmly.

The kunai reversed its course, heading back towards Mikoto, who swiftly substituted herself with a log of wood. Once safe, she smiled gently. "Yes, he is strong."

Kushina's admiration for Nawaki grew, impressed by his advanced level of wind manipulation, a skill challenging even for experienced ninjas.

"And, also very..." she began, not completing her thought, but her smile conveyed her sentiment.

Nawaki, unfazed by Mikoto's abrupt test, returned her smile. "Satisfied with the result?"

"Yes, very much," Mikoto replied warmly.

Kushina glanced between Nawaki and Mikoto, touching her chin thoughtfully.
