As I spoke the name of my Resurreccion, I felt a surge of power coursing through my body. A white armor formed from my fingers to my shoulders, with my two hidden spikes reappearing. With a shout of joy, I felt my tail grow and become more powerful, imbuing me with a newfound sense of balance and agility.

Aizen with interest as my transformation completed. I imagined he knew that my Resurreccion was powerful, and could see the potential for growth in my new form.

Harribel's eyes narrowed, and she studied me closely from afar, assessing my newfound strength and power. Appaci and Mila Rose exchanged impressed looks, clearly taken aback by the display of raw power, while Sung-sun's expression softened slightly with pride.

I evenly matched Ulquiorra's spiritual power, sparks flashing in the space they collided.

“Come.” Ulquiorra said, his face remaining impassive.

Coiling my tail, I launched myself at Ulquiorra with renewed vigor. Bringing out my hidden spikes, I concentrated a large number of Balas and unleashed them at him. The air crackled with energy as the Balas shot toward him.

For a moment, his eyes widened before he regained his composure and quickly dodged to the side with the help of his black wings.

"Let's play, Cifer," I couldn't help but shout with joy. It was the first time in this life that I was fighting for fun, rather than killing.

Ulquiorra's next move was not unexpected. I quickly dodged his Cero and shot more Balas from my left hand. But he was already forming a bright green lightsword in his left hand, batting away my attack with ease.

“You tend to use the short names of people.” He said without changing his expression, but I could see a hint of annoyance in his eyes. “It’s annoying.”

I shrugged. "So what?" I wasn't much for talking and preferred not to waste words.

I closed in, throwing a powerful punch, but Ulquiorra effortlessly caught my fist in his palm, his wings trembling from the impact. Although I was faster, his superior mobility allowed him to easily evade my attacks.

"You're just a simpleton," he remarked, his eyes returning to their calm state. It seemed his realization brought boredom to him.

As Ulquiorra batted away my attack, I noticed a small smile creeping across his face. This fueled my excitement even more, knowing that I was finally facing a worthy opponent.

Without warning, I dashed forward, my spikes extending to their full length. Ulquiorra calmly dodged and countered with a swift strike of his lightsword, forcing me to retreat.

As we clashed, the intensity of our spiritual pressure crackled in the air. I charged forward again, determined to gain the upper hand.

"And you're just a machine, lacking any sense of joy or purpose," I retorted, a smirk forming on my lips. I knew my insult was weak, but it was enough to fuel my adrenaline and keep me in the fight.

Ulquiorra's movements remained fluid and precise as we continued to exchange blows. But with each passing moment, I felt myself getting stronger and more confident. He was no longer just an opponent to test my resurrection, but a challenge to be conquered.

But he was not easily defeated. With each strike, he adapted and countered with a new move, keeping me on my toes. I was pushed to my limit, my muscles burning with exertion.

My breathing became ragged, and I could feel my energy draining with each passing moment. Ulquiorra was relentless, attacking with precision and skill.

Finally, I saw an opening and seized it. With a roar, I unleashed a powerful blast of Cero from my free hand. Ulquiorra was caught off guard and took the full brunt of the attack, his body slamming into a nearby wall.

As the dust settled, I stood panting and victorious. Ulquiorra slowly rose to his feet, his eyes glinting with a newfound respect.

"You are not just a simpleton," Ulquiorra admitted, his voice monotone. "But you have reached your limit."

I grimaced, feeling the truth in his words. The Cero had drained me of almost all my spiritual power, leaving me vulnerable to his attack.

Ulquiorra raised his lightsword high, poised to deliver the finishing blow as his chest regenerated. His face was not betraying a hint of pain.

“Fuck” I muttered under my breath, frustration seeping through my voice. We were evenly matched when it came to spiritual power. Ulquiorra had proved to be a challenging opponent. I had been defeated not by his strength but by his regeneration, a fact that irked me to no end. It was probably why Aizen had assigned me the number 5 Espada rank after him.

Before I could make another move, a voice interrupted us, causing me to turn my attention to Harribel as she appeared beside us. "That's enough," she said, her voice calm and measured. "Lord Aizen is pleased."

My eyes flicked to Ulquiorra, who seemed to hesitate for a moment before slowly returning to his unreleased form. His wings dissipated into black particles, reforming into his sword. I couldn't help but feel a sense of anticlimax. All of that fighting, and it ended so suddenly.

“It was an interesting fight,” Aizen clapped, his tone falsely polite. “It matched my predictions perfectly. Good job, Ulquiorra.”

“Yes, Lord Aizen.” The pale man was obviously pleased with himself.

“I hope it was good enough for you.” I turned to face the calculating Shinigami.

"It was adequate," Aizen replied, his tone cool and detached. As my resurrección shone and returned to its sealed state, he continued, "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have much to do." With that, he turned and walked away.

Ulquiorra followed Aizen in silence, his attention shifting away from me. As the pale man walked away, I couldn't help but wonder what kind of hold Aizen had over him.

“Come, let’s go,” Sung-sun called out, waving her hand from afar. As I walked towards her, I could sense the disapproving stares of Harribel, Apacci, and Mila Rose, who stood by her side with scowls on their faces.

I could feel the tension in the air as Harribel and her two subordinates, Apacci and Mila Rose, shot me disapproving looks. They were clearly overprotective of Sung-sun after what had happened between us the night before.

“Are you sure you're okay, Sung-sun?” Apacci asked, her eyes narrowing at me.

“I'm fine, thank you.” Sung-sun gave a small smile, but her voice was unconvincing.

Mila Rose shot me a suspicious glance. "So, what exactly did happen between you and Sung-sun?"

I shrugged. "Relax, ladies. Sung-sun and I had a mutual understanding. No one got hurt."

Harribel's expression softened slightly, but she still gave me a warning. “Be careful with how you treat our comrades. They are under our protection, and any harm to them will not be taken lightly.”

The women exchanged skeptical glances, but didn't say anything else. As they turned and walked away, I couldn't help but wonder if I had just made a huge mistake.

Aonte So, a new talent of Acidwire comes to light. He can piss off women with a few remarks.

I actually had chapter 17 and 18, then I was editing them when I discovered that they were two different versions of the same chapter. So sad.
