I searched through the vast white desert of Hueco Mundo, stretching my senses to locate the spiritual pressure of any large group of Gillian-class Menos lurking nearby.
However, finding them among the countless small hollows hiding through the vast white dunes was quickly becoming a boring task.
I continued rushing on, my little Noelle and Esmeralda gripping my shoulders while shooting wary glares at the self declared “green mom”, Nel.
Meanwhile, Pesche, dondochakka and Nel rode on top of Bawabawa. The noise of its slithering filled the silence of Hueco Mundo as it struggled to keep up with 5% of my speed.
From afar, a few Adjuchas cautiously observed our mismatched group, maintaining a safe distance, wary of approaching us.
"There." I pointed to the direction where I could feel the immense spiritual pressure of a large group of Gillians.
“Watch this, girls.” I said, signaling with my finger at the ground. I focused my spiritual energy at my fingertip, a vibrant sphere of violet and green energy.
Without hesitation, I unleashed a powerful Cero, creating a large hole beneath us. We descended into the depths, the swirling dust surrounding us as my two daughters giggled at the sight.
"Wait!" Dondochakka's voice cried out from behind us as he seemed to stumble.
"Be careful." Nel warned him.
Ignoring them, I continued drilling by using my spiritual energy like a drilling cone until we managed to reach the group of behemoths.
None of them seemed to have regained their sanity, like an Adjuchas could.
The little girls dropped from my shoulders and looked at them with wonder. They pointed at the enormous creatures while making stupid faces. It seemed they found their appearances funny.
“Big!” Exclaimed Noelle, her voice filled with awe. Esmeralda nodded in agreement, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Moments later, the ground behind me trembled and the screams of Pesche and Dondochakka filled the air as they tumbled off Bawabawa.
Nel, on the other hand, jumped from the serpent-like creature, executing a flawless backflip in mid-air before landing gracefully at my right side.
“I told you guys to be careful.” Nel turned to her crushed subordinates and chided them.
However, her words fell on deaf ears as their huge pet was on top of them, only their legs were not under it.
“Whaaa…” Were the muffled noises we managed to hear.
“Noelle, Esmeralda, stay with Bawabawa.” I instructed my children. “Daddy and aunt Nel are going to capture some new subordinates.”
My girls looked up at me with surprise, it was their first time being left alone. After a moment they both nodded their heads.
“Good.” I praised them.
Still, they shoot nasty at Nel, likely blaming her for our brief separation.
"It's 'Mommy Nel,' not 'Aunt.'" Nel corrected me with a smile, ignoring my daughters' looks.
I suppressed a sigh. While I wasn't against the idea of dating Nel, the moment didn't feel right. Besides, I was still trying to understand my relationship with Cirucci and Sung-sun.
There was love between us, but it was different from the ones I used to hear from stories, it was a mixture of family love with lust. It was weird, but it worked for us.
Nel on the other hand, I just knew she was funny and was pretty hot in her adult form and I would enjoy for her to whisper to me all day. But for now, my focus was on the task at hand.
Crushing my musings, I decided to spring into action.
I reached for the wire that I had concealed in my clothes and unwrapped. It took some effort to untangle the wire and it was annoying to do it in front of the roaring behemonts, but eventually, I managed to do it.
"Here." I said, tossing one end of the wire to Nel.
Nel caught it with a small smile. "Is this the thing you were working on last time you came to my hideout?"
I nodded, holding the other end of the wire. "Yes, it's a special mix of steel and carbon that was treated with my own acid that I developed.” I said feeling how thin it was. “It took me a while to perfect it, but it's finally strong enough to withstand my strength."
“I see.” Nel examined the wire with a curious gaze, admiring its craftsmanship.
“Let’s start.” I signaled her.
She sprinted to the right while I did the same to the left.
We started to spin around the Gillians at blinding speed. They were taken aback by our sudden movements and couldn't shoot their ceros in time, which gave us the perfect opportunity to wrap them up in layers of wire.
Nel surveyed the massive cluster of Gillians we had ensnared with my wire.
"I can't believe you managed to fit all of this wire in your clothes." She marveled, eyeing the length and thinness of the wire.
I rubbed the back of my head helplessly. "It took me all afternoon yesterday to wrap it as tightly as possible.”
Feeling a pointed stare from my back I added. “AH! Noelle and Esmeralda helped too.”
Nel was about to retort when her attention was abruptly diverted by five Gillians unleashed their ceros at her.
Standing unperturbed, she calmly swallowed the blasts and returned them with a force of her own, obliterating the offending Gillians in the process.
I sighed, wondering how I was going to keep the gillians long enough to bring them into my new experimental hideout.
Cirucci was right, I should have stolen one of Urahara Kisuke's pocket dimensions.
