Chapter 54

We arrived at the fortress that had become my new home, Las Noches, after successfully completing our mission in the human world.

A trail of red was created behind us as we walked. Yammy's stomach was bleeding from Ulquiorra’s ruthless attack while I carried my unconscious sister on my shoulder.

“This way, please.”

One of Aizen's maids, a black haired Loly, guided us to the throne room. It was her who had seen me naked back when I became an arrancar. A faint blush tinted her cheeks as she led us, but I decided to ignore it for now.

Asguiaro came after her. I caught his eye and subtly nodded, silently communicating my need for assistance.

“I can’t take her there.” I told him.

“Yes my lord.” Asguiaro replied without hesitation.

Stepping forward, he positioned himself beside me, ready to support her weight.

I gently released Orihime into Asguiaro's waiting arms. He nodded in understanding and swiftly turned, carefully holding her against his chest. With quick steps, he left with her, departing for my quarters. Soon, she would be safe with my family.

As Asguiaro disappeared from my sight, I continued following Loly until the great hall, none of my companions saying anything.

Finally, we entered the hall, my eyes fell upon Aizen sitting in his throne-like chair. Standing beside him was Gin Ichimaru, his silver hair gleaming contrasting with the white walls.

It was then that I noticed a change in Aizen's appearance. He had brushed his brown hair back, giving him a better look than his former nerd like get up. I really needed to stop ignoring men’s looks as I tended to miss such little details.

As we walked into the hall, we encountered Kaname Tousen, who stood in our path to Aizen. He sported a hard frown between his glasses (which covered his blind eyes).

“You have flagrantly disobeyed Lord Aizen's explicit orders and brazenly violated the sacred rules.” He declared, swiftly unsheathing his sword without hesitation. “Your actions demand retribution.”

“What a load of crap.” Yammy clicked his tongue, annoyed by his sudden declaration. Yet, it would be hard to move with his wounds.

Not that I pitied the man who had tried to smash my sister only to get hurt by his own comrade.

“We accomplished our mission flawlessly.” I retorted with a smirk, tensing my muscles just in case. “Fighting Urahara Kisuke was just an added bonus.”

Meanwhile, Ulquiorra maintained his usual composed demeanor, closing his eyes before speaking. “We will abide by Lord Aizen's decision.”

It was obvious that he had no interest in engaging in pointless banter and preferred to focus on reporting the mission's outcome.

“Oi Ulquiorra, you can’t decide for me.” Yammy protested, clenching his fist defiantly.

“Nonsense. Those who break the law deserve to be punished.” Kaname responded, his grip tightening on his sword as he pointed it menacingly at us.

It seemed that talking sense with him was useless. So, I was about to resign myself to fighting with him, I even prepared myself to release my spiritual pressure, when Aizen finally intervened.

“Wait Kaname, I wish to hear the complete account before passing judgment.” Aizen said, motioning Kaname to sheathe his sword.

Kaname complied, retreating back to the side of Aizen. The silver Haired bastard, Gin, took the opportunity to send him a mocking smile.

Aizen continued, his voice carrying an air of authority and charisma. “First, Ulquiorra, I am interested in your assessment of Ichigo Kurosaki. Did you truly find him as lacking as you claimed?”

Ulquiorra blinked, taking a moment to gather his thoughts before responding in his characteristic stoic manner.

“He was truly trash, Lord Aizen. He is undeserving of your attention.” Ulquiorra declared, his expression unchanged. “He lacked the killing intent of a true warrior, and what is more, he was unable to unleash his own powers because of fear. A shinigami who fears his own power is the most pitiful case I have ever seen.”

“I see.” Aizen said softly.

He was most likely adjusting his plan to develop Ichigo’s power following this new development on Ichigo lacking willpower. Ulquiorra's disdain for Ichigo held no concern for him. Instead, he would probably pit Ulquiorra against Ichigo like he had done in the canon story.

In the background, Yammy grunted as an arrancar was bandaging his bleeding stomach. He seemed on the verge of hitting her, but a single look from me stopped him in his tracks.

Then, Aizen turned to me with his trademark smile number 7 (I’m disappointed in you). “And you, dear Sora, I understand that you miss your cheerful sister. I cannot condone your decision to bring a human into Las Noches.”

His smile dropped, taking an air of solemnity. “Now, explain to me, why did you go against my orders?”

I gathered my thoughts, making sure to explain clearly.

“Lord Aizen, while I miss my sister the most. The true reason I brought her here lies in her unique powers.” I explained, holding the need to wave my hands around.

Aizen regarded me with a raised eyebrow, his curiosity piqued. “Her powers?”

I nodded. “Yes, you see, her powers not being attack type was a big disappointment for us. But what she got in exchange was more than worth it.” I opened my arms to show how important it was. “She actually has the power to reject events she doesn’t like.”

Aizen’s eyes flashed with a hidden light while beside him Kaname's face grew hard and Gin’s mocking grin faded.

“So you decided to bring her back to reject the degradation of our Hogyoku?” He deduced, his smile returning to his face.

“Yes, Lord Aizen.” I replied, faking my loyalty. Her powers will be a great help to our cause.”

Aizen seemed to not like my answer as he released his full spiritual pressure. My knees creaked under the gravity of his power while my heart sped up like crazy. Beside me, the injured Yammy, dropped to his knees while everyone else struggled to keep standing.

“Do not attempt to deceive me, Sora.” Aizen warned in a menacing tone. “You want to avoid her being manipulated by us. You feared we would discover her powers and manipulate her emotions to serve our purposes.”

I met his gaze head-on and responded resolutely. “It couldn’t be helped, I can’t stop myself from being overprotective. She is my baby sister.”

Aizen assessed my expression for a moment, his eyes flashing as he came to a decision.

“As punishment for circumventing my orders. Your promotion to Espada Cuatro will be postponed.” He declared, his smile returning once more. “Consider yourself fortunate that I am feeling magnanimous today.”

“Yes, Lord Aizen.” I said, not feeling remorseful.

In truth, an Espada rank would become useless once Las Noches was razed to the ground by the shinigamis. Although I was planning to stop that from happening.

“Now, the research on the imprisonment and healing of Captain-class Shinigami shows promise.” Aizen continued, deliberately omitting any mention of the sacred research on Yoruichi. “I trust you have brought them for me.”

“Right.” I affirmed, bringing out the crumpled research from my chest clothes and presenting them to him.

Aizen’s smile froze as Gin took the research papers from my hands, likely not liking my handling, but he probably did not want to appear petty after forgiving us.

“Now, if you excuse me. I would like to look after my sister.” I bid them farewell.

“Of course. Please send her my regards.” Aizen replied, releasing me from his spiritual pressure.

I turned around, wanting to get out of there as soon as possible.

Yet, I couldn’t help but hear Ulquiorra's monotone and slightly mocking voice. “I told you, I’m going to keep my rank.”

Meanwhile, Kaname's voice held a hint of discontent as he voiced his concerns to Aizen. “Lord Aizen, I fear that such a lenient punishment will not correct his unlawful behavior.”

“Rest assured, Kaname. The appropriate actions will be taken at the opportune moment.” Aizen’s voice resounded as I got out of the hall.

A knowing smile played across my lips as I exited the hall. It was evident that everyone was biding their time, waiting for the right moment to betray each other.

Only someone as blind (unaware) as Kaname failed to grasp the intricate web of manipulation that surrounded us, blinded by his tight grasp of rules and order.

As I left, I could feel the presence of the other Espadas gather around Aizen. It seemed I was being sidelined from Ulquiorra’s true report.

At that moment, I couldn’t deny that I had indulged too much in my own plans, causing our leader to lose the little trust he had in me.

Aonte Our mc fraccion is slowly being strangled by Aizen, but he is still reluctant to dismiss one of his stronger Arrancars, at least while he is still undefeated.

Omake: Awakening

Orihime Inoue woke up. Drowsily, she sat on the fluffy couch she was sleeping on.

Only to discover a pair of small and younger versions of herself with purple and green hair.

“So, is this dream again?” She mumbled to herself.

Little Esmeralda looked at her like an idiot while little Noelle replied. “Not… dream, nightmare.”

Orihime stood up, assuming a karate position.

“This time I won’t allow you girls to eat my cheese key to my hidden robot base.” Orihime shouted, feeling fired up.

The little girls looked at her with pity. However, they were willing to teach her a lesson.

Before the playful confrontation could escalate further, a stern voice broke the tension.

“Enough, you three! Family shouldn't fight.” Cirucci interjected, whacking Orihime’s head lightly.
