[collapse]

The meeting with the ruler of Hueco Mundo has been as stressful as always, especially when he was already finding me an annoyance.

Fortunately, I had finally escaped Aizen’s scheming mug.

Leaving that behind, I began thinking about the meal my family would prepare for me when I met Asguiaro halfway on my way to my quarters. He breathed heavily, holding his knees as he seemed to have rushed to meet me.

I looked at his red face, wondering why he had used his Sonido when there seemed to be no immediate threat.

“My lord, you must hurry.” He gasped, his usual arrogance replaced by a funny expression “Your daughters will blow your sister to smithers otherwise.”

I questioned Asguiaro about the situation as we continued walking. With each step, my pace quickened, and he struggled to keep up.

“What happened? Did they grow wary of her being a human?”

It was a possibility, all the hollows were inherently hostile to humans after their transformation, and my little girls were just born, so it would not be weird for them to react badly to Orihime’s presence.

Amid his hurried breaths, he managed to reply. “Your sister… She ate their vanilla cookies.”

That was not so bad, but it was still bothersome.

I couldn't help but slap my hand to my face, feeling helpless. “That airhead… those were the last cookies we had.”

With an exasperated sigh, I delved deep into my memories, looking for something that could help me to stop this irksome situation. And then it hit me.

There was this particular gift I had gotten for Harribel during my visit to the human world. Between beating kids and flashing Yoruichi’s pics I had a few minutes to steal from a store.

I resigned myself, choosing to use it to diffuse the situation from exploding out of control.

Having made my decision I continued rushing like a bullet until we reached my front door. There, I could feel Esmeralda’s spiritual pressure threatening to rush out of my hall.

Opening the door, I managed to catch the figure of little Noelle overlooking from one of my chairs a sheepishly Orihime and a pissed off little Esmeralda.

“Where are their mothers?” I glanced behind me and asked Asguiaro.

“Cyan Sung-sun had some duties to attend to with Lady Harribel, so she left.” My read-haired subordinate explained. “Cirucci went to meet a hollow for the task you entrusted her with and asked me to briefly look after the little girls.”

I couldn’t find any lies from his expression, it seemed he was being honest.

I clicked my tongue in annoyance. “Sung-sun should have taken them with her and my sister could have stayed with Cirucci.”

Sometimes, I couldn’t understand the mothers of my children. They often bickered among themselves, yet they seemed to trust only each other and a few friends when it came to looking after the children.

Regardless of that, I had to stop this situation.

Walking up to Noelle, I gently brushed my hand through her purple hair.

She jumped a bit, and turned around to look up at me. Once she noticed my presence, a broad smile spread across her face.

“Daddy!” She exclaimed, wrapping her small arms around my waist.

“You're such a good girl, aren't you?” I asked her with a light smile.

She nodded her little head vigorously, her eyes reflecting a proud look. “Yes, I promised…. mommy… not to hit chubby aunty.”

“I see.”

I let out a slight chuckle, a bead of sweat forming on my brow at her naming sense. It was clearly something she had inherited from me.

Meanwhile, as Noelle's exclamation of surprise reached their ears, both Esmeralda and Orihime turned their gaze towards me with surprise.

“Daddy… the cookies… whaa!” Esmeralda began to explain, but her words were interrupted by tears streaming down her cheeks. Then she rushed to my side.

Seeing her like this, I finally took out a little bag from my clothes and presented it to Esmeralda.

“Here, this is something I brought from the human world.” I told her, gently rubbing her olive-green locks. “Please share it with your sister.”

Her eyes shined as she nodded and accepted the bag. On my other side, little Noelle looked on in awe as the bag opened, revealing delicious chocolate cookies. “Whooah.”

“Now, let me speak with your aunt.” I said, directing my attention toward Orihime and walking over to her side.

“Brother…” Orihime’s eyes trembled as she looked at my approaching figure, her lips slightly bitten in anxiety.

“Orihime. I’m sorry for having brought you here so abruptly, you see.” I awkwardly tried to explain. “You were in grave danger back then.”

She hesitated, looking frightened at me, her face pale. Then, she glanced back and forth between me and my daughters before firmly slapped her cheeks, a silly expression replacing her initial fear.

“Brother, you were a monster, but then Kurosaki got injured… and you kidnapped me… then you look like a human again and you have daughters.” Orihime spoke rapidly, her arms waving wildly while her eyes resembled dizzy spirals.

It was evident that she was overwhelmed by the rapid changes she had experienced and couldn't make sense of what was happening.

I raised my hands in a calming gesture. “Calm down Orihime. Take a deep breath. We can go slowly part by part.”

She joined her index fingers in a silly motion she usually did when she was nervous, her gaze slightly downcast.

Suddenly, She let out a big scream, startling Asguiaro who had been napping back on a couch and asked me. “Are Kurosaki and Chad alright? Were they saved?”

I could feel Sora’s annoyance stirring within me at Orihime’s mention of Ichigo, but I held it in, continuing the conversation.

“You don't need to worry. Urahara took care of them, and now they are undergoing special training to come here and rescue you.” I informed her, dropping a bomb on her lap.

“I see.” She muttered, her gaze shifting downward, her expression turning somewhat dark. “No matter how much I train, I'll always be a burden to Kurosaki.”

That brief comment demonstrated how she was on the verge of entering a self-deprecating tirade, something that annoyed me. So I flicked her forehead with my index finger.

“Ouch!” The move worked as she shielded her red forehead with her hand, a pout on her face.

“Don’t be silly.” I told her firmly, Noelle and Esmeralda joining my side with reassuring nods. “What happened yesterday was beyond your control. Sometimes in life, there are forces that cannot be stopped.” I told her, hoping that she could understand.

“But..” She tried to protest but I held up my right hand, stopping her in her tracks.

“No matter how hard you tried, Aizen would have found a way to kidnap you.” I revealed the truth to her, much to her astonishment.

“Why…. why would he go to such lengths for me.” She demanded, her tone filled with confusion and disbelief. “What makes me so important?”

It seemed she hadn’t stopped to contemplate how her powers worked, she was unaware of her value.

“It's because of your powers.” I clarified gently. “Rejecting injuries is just a small part of what they can do. You hold a vital role in Aizen's grand scheme.”

She bit her lip hard, struggling to accept my explanation.

“This is just too much to take in.” She said.

Tears welled up in her eyes, tracing a path down her cheeks. Then she hugged me lighty, like she used to when she was afraid of the dark.

"I know it's a lot to take in," I said, acknowledging her frustration. “But don’t worry, you will have plenty of time to understand and train.” I told her softly.

“And my little girls can help you with the latter.” I told her, motioning to my daughters, who raised their heads like proud snakes.

She smiled at them, cleaning her tears with her hands. “I think it’s time you explain to me how you got a pair of daughters. I didn’t even get the time to buy them sword and shield toys for our playtime.”

Of course she was worried about that… Instead of buying them food or clothes like a normal aunt.

“Well, you see..”

And so, I started my long story of how I had arrived into Hueco Mundo, my struggles and losses, my newfound power and my new family.

Omake: Bed

Orihime looked down at the bed prepared for her by his brother’s daughters, feeling wronged.

“It’s not that I don’t like, but it’s a bit hard to sleep on.” Orihime hurriedly explained to the little girls. “I'm afraid I won't be able to get comfortable here.”

Noelle scoffed, her arms crossed. “weak.”

Esmeralda, on the other hand, looked at Orihime with a pair of big, innocent eyes, making her feel a twinge of guilt.

Feeling that she didn't want to disappoint them, Orihime quickly came up with an idea. "But you know what? We can find some fluffy pillows and a soft mattress from somewhere. We can turn this into a cozy sleepover!" She declared with her palms joined together.

The pair of little girls were about to continue tormenting her when Cyan Sung-sun entered the room. She looked at the scene and chuckled.

“You don't have to worry, Orihime. We actually prepared a separate room just for you.” She told Orihime. “Now, come with me. Esme, let's go to our room. Noelle, you'll have a special sleepover with your aunty tonight.”

Orihime sighed in relief, thankfully, the misunderstanding was cleared. She followed Cyan to her designated room, looking forward to a comfortable and cozy night's sleep.
