Mireille came to visit me at Canale Castle.
Basically, Mireille doesn’t come to visit me unless there’s a meeting or something, but today she seemed to have something to do.
I went to the reception room to have a private chat with Mireille.
“Hey lad, is the married life going well?” (Mireille)

We started to make small talk.
“That girl Lithia must be a very strong girl, and I think she’s going to whip you up.” (Mireille)
Mireille teased me while grinning.

“As I said before, I’d like to have a meeting with my brother Thomas, and I was wondering if you could talk to Clan about it.” (Mireille)

I couldn’t think of any other reason for her to come to see me other than Thomas, so I had expected it, but I guess I was right.
“Well, I’ll write you a letter and send it to you. Wait a little while until you get a response from…”
“That’s too much trouble. You can have me take the letter directly to Clan and have them read it.” (Mireille)
“…Sure, that sounds fast, but if it doesn’t work, it’s a waste of time.”
“Then, then I will enjoy the sights of Alcantes.” (Mireille)
“I’ve put you in charge of Lamberk…”
“I don’t see any problem with a bit of time off. If something goes wrong, Ritsu will take care of it.” (Mireille)
She said in a rather off-handed manner.
I’m not going to burden Ritsu any further.
Well, I’ve been in charge of Lamberk for a long time, so I think I can solve the problem.
YI may have to ask for the wisdom of Lithia and Russell, but I don’t think I need to bother Ritsu.

I wrote a letter to Mireille, asking her for permission to see Thomas since she seemed to have a plan to persuade him.
I also wrote that there was a possibility that Mireille would take her brother under her wing, in which case I would like to ask Clan to let him become my direct vassal through Mireille.

Mireille was visiting Alcantes with the letter she received from Ars in her hand.
There were two guards behind her.
She could be considered not very well secured, but Mireille was quite skilled herself, so the small number of guards was not a problem.
“Now, let’s see if we can find Clan.” (Mireille)
Clan is currently the Governor of Messiaen Province.
He’s a busy man, of course, but he’s probably even busier now that the civil war has ended some time ago.
She didn’t contact him in advance, so she wasn’t sure if she could meet him.
However, Mireille thought that if she brought the letter from Ars, he was likely to hear her.
Ars would be a favorite of Clan.
Heading to Alcantes Castle.
She was stopped by the gatekeeper, so Mireille showed the letter. The letter was stamped with the wax seal of the Louvent family. The gatekeeper couldn’t ignore it.
The gatekeeper told Mireille to wait here for a while and instructed another nearby gatekeeper, probably a subordinate, to do something.
After a while, Robinson, Clan’s chief vassal, arrived.
“Mireille-san, isn’t it? Why are you here today?” (Robinson)
“The lad… I’ve on-hand a letter from milord, Ars Louvent, so I want to give it directly to Clan-sama…” (Mireille)
“You wish to give it in person?” (Robinson)
“Yeah, I’d like him to read it right away if he can. It’s not that long, so if he could just give me a few minutes of his time, that would be great.” (Mireille)
“Now, Clan-sama is just about free at the moment, but… I’ll go ask him then.” (Robinson)
Robinson said and went into the castle.
Mireille was slightly grumpy muttering, “If he’s free, why doesn’t he let me see him right away?”
A few minutes later Robinson was back.
“Milord is going to see you. Please come in.” (Robinson)
Mireille followed Robinson’s instructions and entered the Alcantes castle.
