While watching the children, I asked Shar.

“Where did you catch that magical beast from?”

“It attacked people in the neighboring villages and towns and caused a lot of damage, so Hue captured it alive and threw it into the forest for training.”

“With Transference Magic?”

“What’s that? We usually knock it down, tie it up and carry it away.”

“…I knew there was no Transference Magic or magic circle. What is going on in this era?”

My mumbling didn’t reach Shar.

Meanwhile, the roar of a magical beast rose, so Kanon and Meen also began to attack.

Kanon froze the water to create multiple blades and shot them at the bushes.

He hadn’t shouted out any particular technique.

(So, the naming was Bomb’s hobby? I’ll also use “Shining Whirlwind” just for fun. It must be like that.)

However, Meen followed suit, shouting, “Shine Flash!” And unleashed a light diversion magic.

I wondered if Kanon was in the minority in not shouting the name of the technique. The mystery deepened.

The diversion magic seemed to have induced the magical beast’s wrath. A roar echoed again from the bushes, before a huge bear-shaped magical beast, the size of a storage shed, jumped out. Its mouth was wet with blood, as if it had been eating just before. If you looked closely, you could see the corpse of a small magical beast lying under the bushes.

“It’s an armor bear. A rather large male.”

“I’ve seen one before. It’s the mating season, and they get all worked up.”

It was an omnivorous beast with hard metal-like skin covering its entire body, poisonous claws, and a mouth full of acidic saliva. If you weren’t confident in your close combat skills, you could defeat it from a distance by aiming at its vital points.

“Where did you see it? This creature lives near forests. The Baron’s house is in the middle of the city.”

“W-Where? Was it on a trip? Or perhaps a book?”

Fortunately, Shar did not pursue the matter. His attention was on his adopted son.

“His aim is not good. If he doesn’t aim precisely at the vital point, he’ll only prolong the battle unnecessarily.”

“Why don’t you tell him directly? This is too much for a child to handle.”

He was a troubled father who couldn’t help but give his partner a hard time.

“I don’t feel like leaving this place now. There’s no guarantee that the magical beast won’t aim for you.”

“Eh…”

Could it be that he was here to protect me, his wife? This Shar?

This level of an armored bear wouldn’t knock me down, but I did feel strange when my husband expressed his concern for me.

Anyway, Shar seemed to be changing in his own way.

“U-Um, Sha…”

However, just as I moved to speak to him, something flew at high speed and hit a nearby tree trunk.

“Ouch, my left arm is broken.”

Bomb, who challenged the magical beast, was knocked away. Meen rolled on the ground in quick succession as well.

Kanon was safe but struggling and was being pushed by the Armored Bear. It was dangerous if this continued.

“Shar, I’m going to help.”

“After all that? It’s only been a few minutes since the battle began.”

“Bomb has a fracture, and Meen is unconscious. They’re not good enough against the Armored Bear. If they get injured, they won’t be able to recover. And Kanon can’t do it alone. Yes, withdraw!”

Shar seemed to want to say something, but this time he just let my opinion pass without saying a word.

“What about the Armored Bear?”

“It’s not every day you get one like it, is it? I’m going to stun it for now…Wait here.”

I gently jumped, slid between the Kanon who was fighting the magical beast, and raised my right hand.

“I’m sorry. Just go to sleep for a while.”

Then, I swung my right hand, which was shrouded with magic power, down on the beast’s nose.

The Armored Bear slumped heavily and flew in a vigorous straight line.

Then, just like Bomb, it hit the tree trunk, blew bubbles, and stopped moving.

“M-Mother…”

Kanon’s confused voice rose behind me.

“Kanon, I see what you guys are capable of. Let’s go home and have a review session.”

“What about the magical beast? The training?”

“The magical beast is asleep…I guess. Let’s call off the training and get revenge after we’ve taken countermeasures. Let’s go back to the mansion.”

I drew a large magic circle on the ground with a tree branch that had fallen nearby. Perhaps Shar and Kanon were unfamiliar with it because they looked at me suspiciously.

“All right, it’s done. Shar, Kanon, take Meen and Bomb and enter the circle.”

Shar raised  his voice, perhaps impatient with the motionless Kanon.

“Hey, get going. I don’t understand why she scribbled on the ground, but she must have a purpose.”

It was a terrible thing to say, but I was grateful because they obeyed my instructions.

Once everyone was in the circle, I activated the Transference Magic circle that I had improvised.

This magic circle was the type that allowed you to fly to a specific place you’ve been before.

There were also other types of magic circles that could be used when you didn’t know where to transfer, such as the distance to the north from your position, or the distance to the south…

“Let’s go home~”

As soon as I said this, the magic circle lit up, and in the next moment we were standing in the courtyard of the Count’s mansion.

Shar and Kanon were speechless.

“Ram, exactly, what…”

“We’ll talk about that later. I have to treat Meen and Bomb. Kanon, you too.”

Kanon tilted his head at the word “treat”.

(No way. Don’t tell me nobody has ever taken care of them before? That teacher really has no extenuating circumstances. This reminds me, I left it in the forest… Oh well. I’ll ask Hue to pick it up for me.)

Meen only fell unconscious and suffered abrasions.

(Bomb’s fracture and Meen’s injury are both healed by turning back the clock. Yes, healing is now complete.)

There were two methods of Healing Magic: activating the body’s natural healing ability and manipulating time in the injured area. This was 500 years ago, so it was unknown today.

But healing was a must, because leaving the injury behind would be a hindrance to future training.

“Come, Kanon. I’ll heal your injuries as well.”

However, Kanon was frozen in place when I called out to him.
