Now I was struggling.

It was because Shar found out and interfered with my efforts to get rid of the embarrassing pictures of myself from my previous life.

“Ram, I didn’t give you permission to redecorate inside… Now put back Aurora’s portraits in your hand.”

“I don’t think they’re meant to be displayed. I think they should be sealed up somewhere…”

“Are you insulting Aurora?”

“I’m not trying to insult her.”

Yeah, it was a pain in the ass.

But it was really unbearable to see my own face on display in large numbers.

“It’s ill-advised to hang them on the wall and have them get damaged. I think it’s better to store them!”

“…Hmm, so that’s how it is. You’re the type of person who prefers to keep things in perfect condition.”

Char seemed to be convinced of it and looked at the paintings sullenly.

Then he looked at me and said, “You know, Aurora looks a lot like you in some ways, Ram.”

“Ye-yeah~? I don’t think so.”

Honestly, I also thought so.

Originally, I was the only one in my baronial family with light green hair.

Even my face was unlike my sisters.

My hair style and aura were different, but similar to Aurora in the painting. In other words, my previous life’s face.

I was able to cover it up because it was a picture, but if real projection magic still existed today, I would have been exposed in one shot.

That was why I wanted to seal the painting before anything was noticed.

(I miscalculated Shar’s Aurora-mania. It’s scary to see the persistence of a person who put together a collection of items that are all 500 years old…But I’m grateful in many ways.)

As I hurriedly put the pictures away, Shar picked up a book. It looked like something written by Aurora.

“Ram, can you read and understand these books?”

“Yes, well…”

I was the author of it.

“If possible, I’d like you to decode this for me. I’d appreciate it. It seems to have been written by Aurora herself, and judging from the condition of the book and the writing, I believe it to be the oldest known document.”

I shuddered as I looked at the small book he casually handed to me.

(T-T-This is my diary a long time ago~~~~!)

I couldn’t believe I was asked to decipher something so embarrassing. Shar was a dreadful person.

As I flipped through the pages, memories of the past came flooding back. It was a black history from when I was ten years old.

“○month ○day: I’m scared of my master. Today is the day I’m going to run away from home.”

“□month □day: Master ordered me to tutor the royal family. Just because he doesn’t like powerful people, he’s forcing everything on me.”

“△month △day: The prince has asked me to marry him. But the prince is seven years old, but I’m a dandy Knight Commander.”

…Sure enough, it was an embarrassing diary where I only wrote about unimportant things.

(Okay, let’s fake it.)

I looked up quickly and smiled at Shar.

“This is Aurora’s childhood diar. It doesn’t contain anything about magic.”

“Oh? Interesting…”

“That’s not the point! The books on that shelf over there look like they’re about magic! I should decipher those!”

“So you can decipher it, can’t you? What kind of language is this?”

“It’s an ancient Elven language. It was almost obsolete 500 years ago, but wizards loved to use it because it was compatible with magic. It works well with magic.”

“I see. Maybe you’re not lying when you say you’re the reincarnation of a person from 500 years ago.”

Shar did as he was told and brought the book that was plugged into the shelf.

(I did it! I kept my shameful diary!)
