Standing in the outdoor garden of her new penthouse home in New York City, as Mila charmed and then questioned the latest assassin to try and kill her, Diana for a brief second wondered if it wouldn’t be better to let someone else become Sovereign of Earth. But then she remembered why she’d started on this path all those months ago.
Walking around Australia, she’d seen how many of those first to enter F rank started to use their power to abuse those weaker than them, such as committing mass slaughter to increase their own strength or taking advantage of every pretty girl in an area. She’d been strong enough to protect herself, but through Nana Xara she knew how small she was in the wider universe. If she didn't change her mindset, take every opportunity given to her, she knew she would eventually become like one of those victims.
Sure, part of the reason she wanted to become Earth’s Sovereign was to make life on Earth better for the average person, but the bigger reason was so she could gain enough power to protect herself and those close to her from the dangers which would eventually come.
It was at this moment Diana felt something shift, like a metaphysical earthquake, her magical senses going crazy for a few seconds as her realization sped up the final stages of her Territory’s development.
Then the System messages arrived.

It was quite a bit of money, which made sense given the sheer number of guns, military hardware, and nuclear bombs which had been taken away by the System, and about what Nana Xara had guessed, but it didn’t make Diana as excited as it should have. To a normal newly integrated planet’s sovereign it would be an incredibly large sum—most F ranks never touching a single E rank credit, let alone D rank—but Mila’s wealth, which she was planning on using to boost the entire faction, contained 32 C rank credits, along with over 800 D rank credits. Granted, the sheer amount of E and F rank credits would be useful for Earth as a whole, but the type of resources Aalam, Mila, and she needed could only be bought with D rank credits at the minimum.
Diana then made use of the second reward.

More important, however, she could share resources and even nascent energy over a close range through her bond with Aalam, which would be extremely useful as Aalam had quite a bit of extra nascent energy which Mila for the time being didn’t want.
“Mila,” she sent over the bond she now had due to Mila being Aalam’s chamberlain, causing Mila to turn to look at her. “I’ve just become Earth’s Sovereign. Do you want to head out now, or is there something else you need to do?”
“Now.” Mila summoned her transforming artifact, the Twin Dragons of Yin and Yang, in spear form and stabbed the man she’d finished questioning. Then she tossed the spear to Diana and quickly changed out of her nice black armor, instead putting on a Rare grade blue dress before tossing Diana one of her two spatial storage rings as well. “Trade you for the telepathy ring.”
Diana caught and placed the spatial storage ring on her own finger while transforming the Twin Dragons into its earrings form on her own ears. Then she took of her telepathy ring and tossed it to Mila, who placed it in her remaining spatial storage ring.
The two of them then flew off the elevated garden, Diana merged with Dioscuri and Mila running along telekinetically created steps so they could both maintain stealth, and traveled south through the night air to Ellis Island.
The new world government was in the process of being established in New York so Diana had moved there, but she’d soon be traveling to Zakynthos, Greece to train in the enlightenment zone with Aalam. Mila, however, needed to leave as soon as possible given their time limit and Aalam’s requirement for the Twelve Element Primal Code.
So, to that end, when they landed on Ellis Island, Diana chose the location of the teleportation platform to be in the center of a small park area. Then a stone octagonal platform appeared in front of them, about the size where six people could comfortably stand on it.
“Keep him from doing anything stupid while I’m gone.” Mila hugged her and then transferred some of the rewards from her and Aalam’s tutorial which could only be used by at least the lord of a settlement, but were much better used by the sovereign of a planet.

The major forces of Earth had worked together to buy most of the buildings in their own tutorial, some of them aware the resulting coupons could be used to directly purchase an entire building from the System by a planet’s sovereign, and those coupons were also mostly in Diana’s hands by this time due to Mila’s contracts.
The one coupon Mila did keep was the one for the Epic grade gambling hall, as that would be much better used on a planet with intergalactic trade and not a hidden place like Earth.
After Diana released her, Mila, who had already said goodbye to Aalam and Isaiah the day before, then got on top of the platform and disappeared.

Arriving on a fully integrated planet of the universe for the first time, Mila felt a bit of culture shock.
The city which housed the planet’s main teleportation platforms looked futuristic. There were tall buildings made of what looked like glass and steel, almost every other building higher than 500 meters. There was no green anywhere, not a plant in sight. And everyone walking around was carrying a sword while wearing no shoes.
As Mila had discovered in the tutorial, shoes just weren’t really a thing in the wider universe, but she initially found it odd almost no other weapons were visible besides swords. Then, however, she saw the System message describing the Territory and it made perfect sense.

The teleportation platforms were in a large square near the center of the huge city, but they weren’t guarded. There were just a few attendants telling new arrivals to get off quickly so more people could teleport in or out, and this meant Mila was released unsupervised to do whatever she wanted.
The first thing she had to do, however, was spend a few minutes to get used to the suppression effect of a fully integrated E rank world, her movement speed, strength, perception, and the power of her Telekinesis skill all noticeably weaker.
