The faelings were working hard as they moved the bucket of water above their slumbering targets head.

“Hehehehe!”

“This is awesome!”

“Move it to the right!”

“Now!”

Sai was sleeping peacefully on the quilted blanket. Cold water was poured on his face.

“Blegh!” Sai got up quickly, feeling his entire face.hair, clothes drenched in water.

The faelings were twirling in the air and laughing loudly. The bucket that held the water was empty.

“Hahahaha!”

“Let's do it again!”

“Let's do it again!”

“Let's do it again!”

Sai grabbed his pillow, making it his makeshift weapon. “I will show you brat not to mess with me.” Sai said, waving his pillow and hitting the faelings that were flying in the air.

The faelings would fly to avoid the pillow. This seems to make them more eager and hyper.

“He’s mad!”

“Super mad!”

“Attack him!”

“Blood for the Great Fairies!”

It was an epic battle between the Sai against the treacherous faelings. He was outnumbered but he would not lose!

“Rachel your children are cheerful in the morning,” Rowana said as she got closer to the battle between Sai and the faelings. “Enough playing around, and join us for breakfast.”

“Yes aunty.”

“Yes aunty.”

“Yes aunty.”

“Yes aunty.”

The faelings left Sai and went where the food was set up.

Sai sighed and then stretched his muscles. “Sour Apples,” Sai said reluctantly.

Three apples fell on the quilted blanket. Sai started his day by consuming the worst tasting fruit in the world.

‘No matter how powerful these fruits make me! They will always taste terrible!’ Sai thought bitterly as he finished the apples and then said. “Blessing.”

Sai started to move toward actual food for breakfast with Rowana, Rachel, Rose, Rosa and the faelings.

The faelings were given what Sai believed was soup.

The faelings didn’t have hands, feet or even a mouth. But they decided the best way to eat their soup is by laying in the large soup bowl and slurping it down.

Sai was given a plate filled with bread, cheese and berries by Rowana

“Eat up, we have a very busy day today,” Rowana said with a cheer. “We are going to visit Natalia about your health. We’ll need to go to my workshop to do some preparation for your training.”

“I thought I’ll take a vacation,” Sai said.

“We’re only going to increase your resistance to various poison,” Rowana explained. “It takes months to years to get your poison resistance to be strong enough to use some of the more powerful poisons. You can have your vacation, I just want you to continue to strengthen your poison resistance.”

‘Is there really any point in me getting stronger?’ Sai thought. Sai could recognize that Rowana cared about him and had his best intentions. So he caved. “Yes, yes we are going to make me super immune to all poisons. Right after breakfast.”

----

Natalia turned out to be one of the child fairies that gave an enthusiastic greeting to Sai at yesterday's party.

“The hero has come to me,” The green haired fairy moved uncomfortably close to Sai. “I have been dreaming about you all night. I need to witness your gift! It can be the key to my greatness!” The green fairy was trying to touch Sai’s arm.

The blue hair fairy gave the green hair fairy a headlock. “Clarissa, don't be rude!”

Clarissa shook her head. “Why are your people blind! Sai Giri has only been in this world for roughly a month. His durability is already over 100! His growth is monstrous!”

“Clarissa has been weirdly obsessed with you lately,” The pink-hair fairy said. “I want to say it is love. But I think it's an obsession.”

Sai took an extra step back and said, “I see. Please make sure she is at least five feet away from me.”

Clarissa had an intent look on her face. “I'll make it worth your while. Do you need a wife? In Alchemy they tell you that in order to attain something, an exchange of equivalent worth is required. I believe my life is worth it.”

Sai sighed extra loudly, “I’m sorry but I don’t want such a relationship with a child.”

Clarissa didn’t look bothered and said. “I am 20 years old, I’m not a child.”

Sai scratched his head. “That is not the issue...” Sai wasn’t going to be a degenerate perverted criminal that preys on little girls.

Clap! Clap!

Rowana loudly clapped her hands to get everyone's attention. “This conversation has derailed heavily. Natalia would you be able to check my child's lifeforce with your Magic Arts? The Fairy Queen says you have a Magic Affinity toward Life.”

The blonde-haired fairy who was Natalie did a fist pump in the air. “Sure, I will check out the hero's life force. Then let's go hunt down that maneating tiger! Heard it was preying on humans.”

Sai raised his hand. “Can we go somewhere private? I don’t want others to hear about my condition.”

Clarissa also raised her hand. “I also want to join. I can also help with any health conditions.”

“Clarissa, don’t act so needy and stay here,” Blue-haired fairy said.

Rowana then looked at her godchild and said. “We can give you some privacy.”

----

Sai, Rowana and Natalia moved to a more distant and private area from the other fairies.

Baa! Baa! Baa! Baa!

The sheep were ever present though.

Natalia started to roll up her cotton sleeves. “Let's get to work. Please sit down as I take a look into your lifeforce.”

Sai sat down cross legged on the grass.

Rowana was a few feet from Sai, making sure she was within listening distance, but far enough that Natalia could do her work.

Natalia moved forward in front of Sai and raised both of her hands toward Sai’s face.

“All animals have lifeforce, some like mosquitoes live for only a week, while the mightiest of tardigrades live for thousands of years,” Natalia said as her Magic Arts touched Sai. “The lifeforce dictates how long an animal can live...”

Natalia made a hand motion as if she was grabbing something, a dark smoke seemed to seep out Sai’s wrists, ankles and neck. Natalia examined the dark smoke that gathered in her hand and dissipated into the air.

A chill went through Sai's body as he recognized the dark smoke.

Natalia seemed to deflate as she moved her hands down. “The antithesis of life is death. It seems death was literally clinging to your lifeforce, chipping away at it. Do you know why?”

Sai clenched his hand. “I have some bad experiences with the Sapphire Princess,” Sai answered as he looked to the ground.

The silence was deafening.

Rowana broke the silence by asking, “How many years did he lose.”

Natalia gave a reassuring smile, “He lost about 3 to 5 years of his life. I’m sure if he eats plenty of carrots or meets the Great Fairies they will be able to fix his damaged lifespan.”

“Carrots?” Sai said.

Natalia nodded her head vigorously. “Carrots can help you improve your lifespan by a lot. I swear if animals eat enough carrots they could double their lifespan!”

“That's wonderful!” Rowana jumped and hugged Sai.

“Rowana?” Sai said, feeling confused as the warm embrace seeped into Sai body.

“I’m glad, I’m so glad,” Rowana said. Unable to stop her tears from falling.

Sai closed his eyes, it was dumb, but now he was tearing up. “It’s alright. Everything's alright.”

----

Rowana led Sai to her workshop.

It was a remote location, with a large wooden fence that kept others out.

Rowana opened the fence door and stepped inside her workshop. “This is my workshop, this is where the magic happens.”

Inside the fence, the ground is covered with square stone tiles of a gray shade.

Two long wooden tables were on the left and right side of the area. Glass vials were on the table.

A large iron casted cauldron was in the middle of the room.

Old wooden shelves were against the wall.

In the corner of the room were a stack of black steel barrel drums. A white skeleton symbol on the barrel indicates the danger that was inside the container.

Sai could smell something that burned his nostrils. ‘Rowana was a poison user. It would be dangerous to touch anything here,’ Sai thought.

“This is... nice and all. I am just wondering what I am doing here,” Sai asked.

Rowana pulled out a mithril sword and clay bowl. “Getting your poison resistance to a level where you can handle more potent poison comes with certain risks. However, we can mitigate these dangers by having me examine your blood and conducting experiments to determine a safe dosage of poison for administration.,” Rowana pointed the sword to Sai’s arm. “Raise your forearm toward me, I am going to take a blood sample.”

Sai sighed and raised his hand. “Please be gentle. I am averse to pain.”

“Trust me, I need a few drops,” Rowana gently cut Sai's forearm with the mithril sword and let the blood drip into the clay bowl.

Sai bleeding stopped, the cut was as big as a paper cut.

“Come along, let me show you my treasures!” Rowana said excitedly.

Rowana moved to the shelves and opened the drawls.

Sai moved and saw glass vials of different poisons and venom. He read the labels.

Ricin
Abyssal Pufferfish
Eighty-Six
Mad Potato
Manuka Honey
Orange Sandbox Tree
Rainbow Dandelion
Red Sandbox Tree
Sultron Scorpion
War Emperor Jellyfish
White Spotted Chrysanthemum
Yellow Sandbox Tree

“The Mountain Frog Poison is deadly, however it is like comparing a house cat to a lion with some of these poisons! Rainbow Dandelion would be your next poison you will be using,” Rowana said, picking on a vial filled with liquid and a Dandelion flower. “This can cause blindness, muscle pain and heart attacks! Don’t worry I will give you enough to keep you alive and kicking!”

“Is that so...” Sai stared at the vial that had Abyssal Pufferfish written on the label. The vial was shining a golden hue. “Rowana I am looking at the Abyssal Pufferfish vial and I can see a golden aura surrounding it.”

Rowana's eyes widened, “Ooohhh, I heard stories about this. A trait that allows Heroes to see their future. Some have instincts, while others have dreams of the future, you seem to have the power of seeing aura around important items for your future.”

“Well, there are a few items that I collected that have a golden hue. The Slow Orb and the Cloud Step manual, Seeker Ring,” Sai looked at the poison vial. “The fourth I guess is the Abyssal Pufferfish poison.”

Rowana took out the Abyssal Pufferfish poison from the shelf and opened the lid. “I want you to try to manipulate this poison. Have the poison come out the vial and make it into a sphere.”

Sai flexed his mana, the Abyssal Pufferfish was green. A green sphere was formed in midair.

Sai was amazed. “That was easy? I don’t know how to explain it, like this poison is so malleable. It is like the difference between molding clay and sand. The sand tends to erode and lose form, whereas the clay remains stable...”

Sai started to notice that mentally it was easier to use his willpower and imagination to keep the poison in the air. It was like his mana was flowing better.

“Can you make it into a cone?” Rowana asked.

Sai made the green poison into a cone shape.

“Can you make it into a blade?” Rowana asked.

Sai made the green poison into a dagger.

“Can you separate the Abyssal Pufferfish poison into five portions? Then have the portions shaped as needles. Make the needles as thin and as pointed as you can!” Rowana ordered.

Sai separated the poison into five portions and made them into needles. It was as easy as snapping his finger.

“Well look at that. No wonder that Great Fairies assign me to be your Godmother. You have a Magic Affinity toward Abyssal Pufferfish poison,” Rowana's smile was predatory. Like a cat that found a juicy mouse. “We are going to explore all the many doors that this opens up for you!”

“...What about my vacation?” Sai asked.

“There is no break on the road to Magic!”

Rowana then started experim... She meant training to improve Sai mastery over the Abyssal Pufferfish Poison Magic Arts.
