POV Thadran

Thadran was a one in a billion genius. He saw himself as a revolutionary that would bring the ignorant masses out of the darkness into enlightenment.

His comrades called him a mad genius. Emphasizing the Mad part. But what did those buffoons know?

The greatest hurdle he faced was his commoner status.

Nobles really didn’t like that commoner was better than them and would cause no end of grief to him,

Still, he was able to get into the Royal Academy. Join the Golden Egg which is an exclusive club that wants to spread prosperity to the Northern Nation. Even becoming the president and finding a very lovely girl named Jasmine.

His most notable creation, the TG Pulse, was a groundbreaking machine designed to generate an immensely potent force wave.

TG Pulse was smaller than a pocket watch. It had metal springs in helix design going in a circle and a icosahedron yellow mana crystal magic in the center. When a frequency was traveling on the metal spring a reaction is created where a very powerful force is generated by the mana crystal.

The TG Pulse served as the cornerstone for developing cannons, tools, and airships. Due to the widespread availability of yellow mana crystals, it became the adopted power source.

There was a debate in the Golden Egg about who should have the technology. The Emerald Country was the first country they tried to spread, since the Nobles were kind and generous.

Everyone in the Golden Egg agreed the Sapphire Principality and their monarchy should never get access to the TG Pulse because it would lead to world domination.

The Emerald Nobles kicked Thadran out of the country after eight workers died from experiments with the TG Pulse went wrong.

Thadran hated the safety concerns the Emerald Nobles wanted to implement on his creation.

Why did other members of the Golden Egg consider him mad? Sure the TG Pulse caused some building damage and a small earthquake when they were first mass produced.

The sacrifice was worth it though, Thadran would argue.

Regardless, Ruby Republic adopted the TG Pulse and the Golden Egg made it their home base.

----

Fourteen days before present day.

Thadran stood before a Ruby Republic congressman, showcasing his latest creation. The spacious room boasted an elegant red carpet and large painting. Adorned walls with paintings, featuring the Hero Mitton. The Hero that fought against the greedy and corrupt Nobles and freed the common people.

A grand piano occupied a corner, adding to the room's sophistication. Thadran, with a chalkboard at hand, illustrated his innovative ideas.

Congressman Benjamin, positioned behind a desk, attentively absorbed the details of Thadran's invention.

Presenting his concept, Thadran explained, "This numerous linked carriage has the capacity to accommodate numerous goods and people. Placed on metal tracks, it has the potential to revolutionize the transportation industry. I am calling it the train."

“It is a lovely idea,” Benjamin said. “Have you made a working engine?”

Thadran tried and failed to make a working engine for the train. The issue was it would blow up or can only work for so long before breaking. The TG pulse was just too powerful.

The TG Pulse was great to make a thruster for an airship. However, it couldn't be put on a train on the ground. The insane speed couldn’t be controlled easily and would crash into people, buildings or other hard obstacles.

“If you just give me more funding, I can make it into a reality,” Thadran proposed with a smile. “Imagine cheap transportation throughout the Ruby Republic.”

“In the future, when you have the kinks worked out for the train. We happily supply the funding to build it,” Benjamin said flatly. “Right now the Ruby Republic is going to go to war with the Sapphire Principality. We need more airships for the war.”

Thadran sighed, “I understand.” The cost of creating new inventions was expensive. This will surely slow down the research on perfecting the train.

Benjamin then asked an unexpected question. “Would you agree to marrying the Sapphire Princess?”

Thadran's response was swift and resolute. "Absolutely not."

The sounds lingered in Thadran's ears, the anguished cries of Nickilous as he succumbed to the flaming embrace of the Princess.

While Thadran was attending the Royal Academy. He had friend named Nickilous

Everyone likes Nickilous for his jokes and making every situation fun. He was a class clown and proudly wore the badge.

It all changed when the Princess took a fancy to Nickilous.

Nickilous was helping a girl carry her books. The Princess became extremely jealous and ended up killing Nickilous by hugging him and then setting him on fire.

Thadran couldn’t forget the screams.

Nickilous was a commoner and the Princess basically got away with murder.

Minister Brian had to make a ridiculous law that the Princess couldn’t date until she graduated.

Thadran still recalled what Dirk, his right hand man and vice-president said about Princess Ophelia. Ophelia is like a flame, she was beautiful to look at but will burn if you touch her.

While Thadran was thinking about the past, Benjamin seemed to sigh deeply. “Can someone please marry her? My Fate Magic Art is telling me a long bloody war will happen with the Sapphire Principality in the future if nothing changes.”

“Good, with our supreme technology we will decimate those arrogant Sapphire Nobles from this world,” Thadran said, completely confident with the destructive power of his invention.

“You shouldn’t underestimate the power of the Everlasting Diamond Kingdom Monarchy,” Benjamin said. “Even though it was demoted to a Principality there was a reason that the crown could last for thousands of years. They are strong. Princess Ophelia is so much more powerful than her late father.”

“We will still come out victorious. We won before and we will win again,” Thadran promised.

Benjamin was quiet. He moved toward the piano. “Let's talk about something lighter. Do you like to listen to some music Thadran? My late wife loves this song.”

“I wouldn’t mind hearing you play Congressman.”

Benjamin started playing. Thadran recognizes the song as The Wheel.

Thadran enjoyed the song as Benjamin continued playing.

Benjamin finished the song and slowly got up.

“A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they shall never sit,” Benjamin said. “This country doesn’t need an oldman. Take care of yourself, Thadron. Your the future of the Ruby Republic.”

That was the last conversation Thadron had with Benjamin.
