In an abandoned building the priest, nuns and crusaders were making a base of operations.

Sai found his horses Bart and Lisa and patted them happily. “Hello Bart and Lisa, do you miss me?”

The horses made a noise that made Sai realize that they wanted carrots.

Sai pulled out some carrots and fed the horses.

For horses carrots were like candy bars. Well at least that's what he heard.

Sai wouldn’t subject them to eating apples.

Rowana sat on top of the carriage, mediating.

Slither joined her and slept in her lap.

Sai stayed out and sat on the ground looking into the sky. The whole day seemed to be a never ending series of battles.

Sai took time to recuperate. He took out his notebook and reviewed his homemade One Piece manga. His notebook was being filled with his doodles.

A few hours later Archbishop Ruben approached Sai.

“This is wonderful!,” Archbishop Ruben said with a cheerful smile. “You did wonderful today, saving the day and defeating all those Demons! We are going to make you famous! We will have bards tell your tale of you vanquishing Demons and beating back armies of Horned Dogs! Everyone is going to love you!”

Sai stretched his muscles and then replied, “That’s good and all. Do you know why there are Demons, Horned Dogs and Brutal Dogs invading the Dukedom? It would be nice to get some answers.”

“Not only me, but every organization is looking into the matter now that the city is under control. It was pricey, but I was able to gather the information about today's events. We believe the attack on Northern Dukedom was orchestrated by Benjamin. I even verified some other concerning information,” Archbishop Ruben said.

“No surprise there. I always suspected Benjamin. I never imagined he would cause this much mayhem and destruction. How did he possibly do it?” Sai asked.

The Archbishop then said, “First we know that Benjamin removed the Demon Gates from the Dungeons. He removed the Demon Gate from surrounding Dungeons near the Dukedom. He also removed the Demon Gate inside the Duke’s mansion. When the Mana Storm occurred, it caused the Dungeon Outbreak. Which caused Brutal Dogs who are in a higher floor to flood out the dungeon since the Demon Gate that normally blocks the higher floor was removed. Now the Dukedom is faced with Brutal Dogs invading from the outside and Brutal Dogs from the inside.”

Sai then asked. “Okay, well how did Benjamin cause the Mana Storm?”

Archbishop Ruben answered. “I have a theory that Benjamin didn’t cause the Mana Storm. He predicted the Mana Storm will happen. People are able to predict Mana Storms with Fate Magic Arts. Benjamin simply removed the Demon Gates and waited for the Mana Storm to occur as he would have predicted. Not to mention the Demons he summoned to wreak havoc in the Dukedom. I would even bet the strange death of the Masters in the Northern Army is also contributed by him.”

Sai then said, “So your telling me that Benjamin set up the dominos for the destruction of the Dukedom.”

Archbishop Ruben shook his head, “That is not the whole picture. One of your Hero predecessors sealed a Demon Lord and was held in secret by the Northern Duke. Benjamin stole a Seal Orb that contains the Demon Lord from the Duke Mansion and a few Hero Relics. Whatever Benjamin is planning next, it will be bad for the Dukedom.”

Sai was silent, “We need to find Benjamin, before a Demon Lord is set loose”

“Yes, that will be perforable,” Archbishop Ruben nodded in agreement. “I also like to mention that I am planning to have a newspaper detailing your heroic exploits. What would you like me to mention in the newspaper? Better yet we should have a portrait set up! We will make you the most famous hero in the Northeastern Nation! I could even be promoted to Pope if I play my cards right!”

“You have too much greed to be an Archbishop,” Sai said.

“If I didn’t have any greed, I wouldn’t accept being an Archbishop,” Ruben answered. “Besides, we the Fairy Religion want to avoid a Dark Century to occur. If you don’t know what a Dark Century is, let me educate you a little. It was a period of time, about 900 years ago and all civilization was destroyed by the Demon Invasion and we were left rebuilding civilization with stones and sticks. It was a dark period in human history. The Holy City was the only place that survived the Demon Invasion. Human kind learns a harsh lesson, that being the last people of your kind is not a reward, yet a heavy curse. Sucide, murder, and infighting were common in the Dark Century. It was said that humankind was closest to extinction.”

“You believe that making me a famous savior is going to prevent the Dark Century,” Sai asked.

“I want the Northeastern Nation to survive the Demon Invasions,” Archbishop Ruben said. “Your the Hero. If anyone can save us from the Demon Invasion, it is you.”

Sai felt Archbishop Ruben was giving him a really heavy burden.

----

Sai needed some time to himself.

Sai ended up watching a parade.

The Northern Army was advancing along the streets.

Within the ranks of the Army, a drummer resounded with the powerful beats of their drums as they moved forward.

Bom! Bom! Bom!

The calvary, who rode their horses, were in sync as they walked. Their hooves made a distinct clomping noise when they struck the brick road.

Clomp! Clomp! Clomp!

Flag bearers proudly displayed the Wolf flag, vigorously swaying it to and fro.

Sai stood on a building roof and watched the army go through the Dukedom.

Sai saw the long line of injured knights in the back of the Army. He could already imagine the battle that was fought to cause the injuries.

A middle-age man walked out the alleyway. He lifted up a Magic Orb in his hand and held it in front of the approaching Northern Army.

Sai's eyes widened, his mind jolted as he started to move.

Sai jumped from the building he was standing on, he was already running on the air with the Cloud Step technique. Sai recognized the middle-age man and he yelled out loud and clear for all to hear. “Benjamin!”

The man who was responsible for removing the Demon Gates.

The man who unleashed the Brutal Dogs.

The man who summoned the Demons into this world.

The mastermind that orchestrated the near destruction of the Dukedom was standing in front of the Northern Armies.

Benjamin broke the Seal Orb.

A wild cold whirlwind was felt throughout the Dutchery.

In front of the Northern Army march was a Demon that killed multiple Heroes in the past.

A Demon Lord has been unsealed.

Sai stood in front of the Northern Army.

Sai was brimming with Holy Magic. The golden light of Holy Magic shrouded his entire body.

Information poured into his mind. Sai comprehended so much. Realizing he knew so little.

Sai's voice echoed as he said. “Do you have any idea what you have unleashed upon the Puppy Nursery?”

Benjamin said seriously, “I am doing what needs to be done. Not even the Sapphire Hero can stop a Demon Lord.”

His Hero predecessors died by this very Demon Lord. Sai was replaying the very battle in his mind.

“Heroes do not fear Demons. Heroes vanquish Demons.”
