Wesley shrugged as he walked to the side of the bed and put the brown bag that he brought with him on the bed. "I brought some of my old clothes for the kid."

He then gestured the kid, who was standing next to Mr. Thompson, and said, "Come take a look and see if they fit…"

The kid frowned, clearly disliked how he was being talked down to, especially when he was capable enough to tear Wesley into two without so much as a blink of an eye. But when he looked up at Mr. Thompson, the man chuckled and leaned down to whisper to his ear, "Here, you're the youngest… Remember, you need to learn the rules of this world, and this included respecting your elders. So, this is normal."

"I don't like this…" Cyrus mumbled before dragging his feet over.

"Oversized shirt is cool, but it's not cool when it's too big…" Wesley said as he took out the clothes that he had neatly folded and placed them out on the bed. "We can't let you dress like Juin Otherwise, you'll be single forever…"

Juin sighed. "Must you diss me even at this time?I am a patient, you know."

"You've been working out… This is like one of the only times I get to diss you before you get strong enough to pound me," Wesley said jokingly. He helped Cyrus out of his bloodstained St. Xavier shirt.

Wesley was surprised that no one tried to change Cyrus' clothes in the last few days, but he figured that the boy probably threatened to bite anyone who tried to.

"At least he's clean…" Wesley thought as he signaled Cyrus to lift his arms.

When he pulled Cyrus' shirt up, he gasped softly when he saw the fading scars on Cyrus' body. He then looked at Mrs. Martin, who had covered her mouth now. Except for a few, they were mostly scars that he received when playing around with his parents last week, and that they were going to fade away in a week or so. But of course, the humans didn't know that.

Wesley quickly cleared his throat and did not say anything else as he helped Cyrus put on the clothes that he brought. Once he was done, he said with a grin, "There… You're almost as handsome as me now…"

Cyrus looked down at his attire; a pair of faded black ripped jeans, a white t-shirt, and a faded blue jeans jacket that was tied around his waist. "This… makes me handsome?"

"Yes…" Wesley nodded and said with a smirk, "Girls will be coming after you like flies when they see you…"

"Don't teach him weird things…" Juin sighed as he shook his head. He then looked at Mrs. Martin and told her about Cyrus, with Mr. Thompson adding in stuff every now and then.

At the end of it, Mrs. Martin said with teary eyes, "Of course he can stay with us! I have to talk to some people, but for now, he can stay with us…"

Mrs. Martin nodded. She had been caring for children for a long time, so she knew how to handle a kid with hairline fractures.

"I hope they catch those hooligans who did this to you!" Mrs. Martin said as she looked at Juin with a sad expression.

Juin merely smiled at her. He then glanced away and mumbled, "I'm fine… Really…"

He felt bad about lying to her, but… This was his life from now on. Constant lying to those he cared about.

After another hour, Mrs. Martin and Wesley took their leave since Mr. Thompson insisted on staying the night. They wanted to take Cyrus with them, but the little boy refused to follow them, insisting instead to stay by Juin's side.

Once they left, Juin said to Mr. Thompson apologetically, "I'm sorry, Mr. Thompson, for troubling you."

"It's fine" Mr. Thompson sighed. "Although, to be honest, I didn't expect to get embroiled in all these when I left the organization…"

They then went back to doing their own stuff, with Mr. Thompson going back to his magazine and Cyrus going in and out of the toilet to look at his own reflection.

Meanwhile, Juin was left to his own thoughts. After a long moment of silence, saved for the sound of Cyrus' feet walking around, Juin hesitated for a moment before asking, "Mr. Thompson… The last we talked, you said that if I keep getting stronger, they will come for me…"

He looked Mr. Thompson in the eye, and for a short moment, uncertainty flashed in Juin's eyes as he continued, "They are already here… Not just the Nakamura, but also the Order."

And the leaders of both groups approached him personally… Well, almost personally, considering how the patriarch of the Nakamura Family chose to take over his son's body for this.

Upon hearing Juin, Mr. Thompson had a complicated expression on his face. "And?"

"You… You are in one of those groups, right?" Juin asked as he looked at the man in the eye.

Mr. Thompson hesitated for a while before nodding. "Yeah, I was in the Order."

Juin knew that Mr. Thompson had lost something important to him when he left, so he did not ask about that. Instead, he asked, "What is it like? To be in the Order."

Mr. Thompson, who was sitting in the chair next to Juin's bed, looked out the window for a while as he gathered his thoughts. After a while, he looked back at Juin and said with a gentle smile, "It was the best time of my life…"

"Then why did you leave?"

"Because I married a normal human, and I don't want to expose her or our daughter to any of the darkness…"
