Juin looked at Wesley and sighed. "It's too late, Wes, I have accepted the man's adoption offer."

"Offer?" Wesley scoffed, "Is this a business transaction? Just reject it. You're old enough to have your voice heard. If you don't want to go, you can still change your mind now."

Wesley grabbed onto Juin's sleeve and said, "What if the man's a pervert? I mean, he does have a perverted look on his face."

Upon hearing Wesley, Juin thought with a smile, "It would be funny if President Presley heard about this."

He then patted Wesley on the head, an action that Wesley usually hated as it made him feel as if Juin was being condescending toward him. However, unlike before, he did not scowl at Juin. Instead, he gave Juin a sad expression, pleading him not to leave him alone.

"You're all I have…" Wesley said. "What am I going to do without you?"

Looking at the younger boy, Juin could not help but have a second thought about the matter. But when he saw Lucifer, who was floating next to him, Juin knew that he could not turn back on this matter just because Wesley was having trouble accepting it.

"You've been doing really well all the time, and I think that with or without me, you'll still be able to live on nicely…" Juin said as he placed his hands on Wesley's shoulders. "And besides, you still have Mrs. Martin. I know you like her a lot…"

Wesley could not deny that. To him, the two most important people in his life were Juin and Mrs. Martin. "Must you go?"

"I must," Juin said with a sad expression. "For you and for everyone else--"

A bright purple orb that was coming toward him at a speed that was almost the speed of light caught his attention, and out of instinct, he immediately grabbed Wesley and fell down to the side.

BAM!

BAM!

BAM!

Three purple orbs hit the area where Juin and Wesley were standing earlier in a triangular shape, charring the concrete floor of the bus stop.

Juin took a quick glance at the area of damage and saw that the charred floor was still burning in bright purple flames even though the purple orbs were gone. Angered by the attack, especially since Wesley was here with him, he glared toward the direction where the orbs were thrown from. And he immediately noticed two… creatures walking toward him from the darkness.

"Lucifer…" Juin muttered under his breath.

With his arms folded, Lucifer said nonchalantly, "Definitely not humans… But not something that you can't handle now."

---

"Ouch…" Wesley cried out as he looked at his bleeding elbow.

From the corner of his eyes, he saw the charred and burning holes on the concrete floor. Looking at the smoke and the dying purple flames, he asked fearfully, "What the hell was that?"

"W-What are they?" Wesley stuttered as he grabbed onto Juin's shirt, clearly terrified by what he saw. Walking toward him were not humans at all. They dressed like humans, but even from far away, Wesley could tell that they were not. These were creatures that he had only seen humans such as them on the comic books that he read often.

One of them had a light-brown dog-like face, and the creature had three purple orbs moving in circles around his right hand.

His companion had two sharp horns coming out from its forehead. As they got closer to the two at the bus stop, Wesley saw that the second creature wasn't wearing any shoes and that its feet were covered in dark brown fur.

Wesley looked at Juin, thinking that he would see a fearful expression on Juin's face. After all, this was a guy who was terrified of just about everything in the world. But what he saw shocked him.

Yes, there was fear, but not as much as he thought he would see. Above all, there seemed to be some sort of anticipation on Juin's face… Like he was ready to fight.

"Wes, don't be afraid…" Juin murmured as he helped the younger boy to stand up. "If you find a chance, just run. Run and don't bother to look back."

"Juin…" Wesley gulped as he looked at the two creatures, which were now standing just a few meters away from them. "What are they?"

Juin did not reply him, for he did not know himself. However, based on the forms of these creatures, he had a feeling that they were from the Dark Night Clan.

"I told you, you missed, you stupid dog!" said the creature with the goat horns. "You should have used something that's less obvious in the night…"

"Shut up!" the dog-headed creature snarled. He then raised his right hand and said, "I just have to send a few more of this…

"Who are you guys?" Juin asked in a harsh tone.

"Your worst nightmare…" the dog-headed creature sneered before suddenly disappearing from Juin's sight.

"Right side!"

Lucifer's voice alerted Juin, and the latter immediately placed his palms together and turned to his right side. Still with his palms together, his right palm turned as the image of a complicated diagram appeared in his Soul Dimension.

Just as the dog-headed person appeared in front of him, Juin's left palm glowed slightly, and at the same time, the complicated diagram in his Soul Dimension glowed as well.

"Die!" the dog-headed person snarled as he raised his right "hand", which was now a paw with purple-glowing claws on them. Without waiting for any retaliation from Juin, the dog-headed person slashed his paw down, leaving purple-colored afterimages in midair.

Slash!

"JUIN!" Wesley yelled out in fear when the dog-headed person suddenly appeared right in front of Juin when he was still a few meters away from them when he disappeared.

However, the claws never arrived on Juin's body.

Thud!

A soft thud and a feeling of wetness on his face took Wesley by surprise. The young boy looked down and saw a bloody paw with part of the forearm lying on the ground. The cut was clean and precise, almost as if it were cut by the finest sword.

"ARGGGGGHHH!!!"

A bloodcurdling cry made Wesley look up, and he saw the dog-headed person had retreated a few feet back from Juin while holding his now bleeding and "pawless" hand.

"I'll KILL YOU!"

"I wish they will learn that it's their own fault they got injured instead of blaming me all the time," Juin mumbled to Lucifer as he raised his bloody dagger, which was now crimson in color after being activated by Juin's soul power. The flames on the dagger quickly evaporated the remaining blood on the dagger.

"Good job at opening up your portal. I thought you'd fail under pressure since we have never tested it out in this kind of battle-style situation before," Lucifer said with a smirk as he sat on the roof of the bus stop, watching everything like a spectator. "Although, we still need to train your senses… It's really bad."

During the time that Juin was incapacitated, he had actually learned a lot of things. One of them was learning how to cut a small part of his Soul Dimension and turning it into a Dimensional Pouch. It was a complicated process, and it took him a few days just to learn and fully understand the theory behind it… And a few days of training to perfectly execute it.

According to Lucifer, even though most people knew about the way to create a Dimensional Pouch, only some of them would actually create one. Because most people only had small Soul Dimensions, they would usually be reluctant to cut a part of it out, with the other reason being that the scale was disproportional.

For example, to create a Dimensional Pouch the size of a hand, they had to use roughly 10x the size worth of Soul Dimension, which made this a very bad exchange, since the Soul Dimension was where their soul could recover its soul power. The bigger the Soul Dimension, the faster one could recover, and the bigger one's soul power reserve could potentially be.

If Lucifer's vessel was just a normal person, he would have not advised wasting the Soul Dimension on a Dimensional Pouch. But thankfully, Juin was everything but normal. His Soul Dimension was basically limitless, or at least, Lucifer hadn't reached the end of Juin's Soul Dimension yet… which meant that he could spare some of it to create a Dimensional Pouch.

A Dimensional Pouch was a handy tool to have since it allowed one to quickly pull out one's weapons in times of need, instead of having to go through one's backpack for it, which could have caused one to die before they even found the weapon.

And for Juin who seemed to be under attack every other day, it was a good idea for him to have one so that he could take his enemies aback and get an advantage in a fight.

Of course, right now, he only managed to create a small Dimensional Pouch, one that was enough for him to store his dagger.

Juin gave a brief glance at his left palm before passing Nightfall from his right hand to his left hand in one swift movement. Slashing the air with the dagger in a Z shape, he grinned and muttered, "This thing is pretty neat…"

"Don't be cocky yet," Lucifer said with a serious expression as he looked in one direction. "There are more coming… And they are stronger than this stupid dog."
