Upon hearing Lucifer's warning, Juin looked up and narrowed his eyes as he looked around, all the while keeping his dagger at the ready position in case the dog-headed person attacked him again.

He could see movements in the darkness; multiple pairs of red, blue, purple eyes were glowing ominously in the dark, and they were getting closer to him by the second.

As his teammate slowly retreated to his side, the faun-like creature sneered, "You aren't going to leave here easily…"

Juin glanced at him while using his body to hide Wesley behind him.

"What have you gotten yourself into, Juin…" Wesley mumbled as he looked at the incoming group. His fear intensified when he smelled the stench of rot and death in the air, as well as when he finally saw the newcomers.

Each of them looked like creatures that came out from a fairytale or horror stories. Some of them had wings, claws, and one of them even had an extra arm that came out of its chest.

Wesley thought of himself as a brave person, but at the moment, he could not even let go of Juin's shirt; a person whom he always made fun of for being such a scaredy-cat. Wondering why there was no one who came out to help them, Wesley turned around and looked in the direction of the restaurant. For some reason, the restaurant seemed to be miles instead of just meters away from the bus stop.

And everything appeared slightly warped for some reason.

"Someone placed a ward…" Juin mumbled, knowing that Wesley was thinking about the matter. "I'll tell you later," he added. Wesley read enough books to know what a ward was, so he did not need to explain it to him, nor did he have the time to explain it to him.

Touching his right pant pocket, where he kept the calling card from the Order, Juin prayed that he did not need to use it so early on, before he even officially joined the Order!

"This is bad…" Juin mumbled as he crouched lower. There were at least 15 creatures that were walking toward him with various weapons in his hands, and he could not help but mumble, "Is it really that necessary? I'm just a weakling…"

Whoever sent these people really meant to kill him.

"Call for merge if you can't get out of this…" Lucifer said, floating down until he was standing next to Juin.

Juin nodded. When he saw the faun-like creature move suspiciously, he quickly raised a few Soul Fireballs and threw them at the creature, taking the creature aback.

Unfortunately, the creature managed to dodge the five fireballs by rolling aside. Fortunately, his wounded comrade failed to move quickly enough and was hit by two of the Soul Fireballs.

"ROAAAR!!!" the dog-headed creature roared in excruciating pain as he felt his soul being burned from within.

Juin did not say anything. The report that the creature mentioned earlier must be outdated, probably from even before Juin transferred to St. Xavier. He took in a deep breath before shouting toward the incoming group, "If you come any closer, I won't hesitate anymore!"

"You are threatening them?" Lucifer raised a brow. "At this time?"

"What else am I supposed to do?" Juin said with a sigh. Glancing at Wesley, he added, "Wes is here, so even if I can fight well, I can't just leave him alone and fight. I have to try to scare them away…"

He could feel Wesley's fear from the way the boy's hand trembled while holding onto his shirt. "It's ok, Wes, we'll be fine," Juin tried to reassure the younger boy.

Perhaps against humans, Wesley was fearless and could even beat up older kids who pick on him or his friends from time to time. But against creatures that he had only read about, no doubt the 11-year-old Wesley was doubting his sanity at the moment.

Heck, if Juin's first encounter with the supernatural world were like this, he would have fainted right on spot, without so much as even a peep.

"Well, your lousy tactic failed…" Lucifer mumbled. "They are running over now…"

"Ah, f*ck!" Juin cursed, quickly whipping his head around to look at the incoming enemies.

Wesley suddenly gasped when he looked at the scary dog-headed creature.

By now, the dog-headed creature had completely fallen. His body lay on the ruined bus stop floor without even a flinch, and his face was just frozen in a pained expression.

"What happened to him?" Wesley asked in a soft voice, but he somehow knew that there would be no answer from Juin, so he did not expect an answer. Instead, he looked at the group that was now less than 100 meters away and said, "Can you defeat them?"

"I… don't know," Juin mumbled.

The group stopped around 50 meters away, and a dark-skinned humanoid creature with two sharp small horns in the middle of his forehead, eyes that were completely black that it seemed like one could see the universe through it, and elf-like ears walked out from among the group.

From the way the other creatures quietly stepped aside, it was obvious that this dark-skinned humanoid creature was the leader of this group.

"Hello, Mr. Juin…" the dark-skinned humanoid creature said. "My name is Welshon."

"What do you want?" Juin asked directly, still blocking Wesley from their views.

But of course, Wesley was not a baby, so Juin could not hide him completely. "Ah, we have an extra person here…" Welshon said before glaring at the faun-like creature. "Apologies, I've told them not to involve an innocent human."

The faun-like creature shivered and quickly lowered his head.

"I'm also an innocent human, just so you know…" Juin said, tightening his grip on the dagger.

"Well, are you really a human now?" Welshon said with a smile.
