Hearing his question, Warlock smirked. "No, it's a good move. Other than President Presley, the Order is filled with many powerful supernatural humans. It would do you good to rub shoulders with them, as they could teach you things that best fit your flame-based soul power."

"But President Presley…"

Hearing the person's name again, Warlock could not help but grimace, "There's no point trying to avoid him, not unless you want to be on the run the whole time. And right now, he won't harm you yet."

With a brow raised suspiciously, Juin said, "Right now?"

Warlock nodded. Normally, he would leave it to Juin to find things out by himself, but he felt that this was a piece of information that he should not keep from the teenage boy, mostly because of the danger that he would be in if he remained ignorant while living at the headquarters of the Order. "You aren't strong enough…"

Hearing the somber tone in Lucifer's voice, Juin c.o.c.ked his head slightly and thought for a moment. After a few seconds of silence, he asked with a serious expression, "Is it because he is a vampire?"

Warlock looked at him, somewhat surprised that he would know about President Presley's true identity when so many people, even Presley's close subordinates, did not even know it.

And Juin knew what Warlock was thinking about, so he quickly explained, "Lucifer told me about the vampires from his world…"

Warlock glanced at Lucifer, who was still meditating, still seemingly oblivious to everything around him. After a while, he looked back at Juin and nodded. "Yes… Presley is a vampire from Lucifer's world, Alercane."

"Is he the only vampire here?"

Warlock shook his head. "There are vampires from other worlds, but Presley is the only one from Alercane. And he's the most dangerous vampire of all."

"Why?"

"Did Lucifer tell you about the nature of vampires from Alercane? Warlock asked, crossing and uncrossing his legs, seemingly uncomfortable no matter how he sat.

Juin nodded. "They can take someone's soul power away."

Warlock nodded gloomily. "Yes… But it's not as simple as increasing their own soul power reserve by taking another person's soul power away… It's the fact that they can use the other person's soul power that makes them dangerous."

He leaned forward and placed his right elbow on his t.h.i.g.h as he said with a serious expression, "If he s.u.c.k.e.d off your soul power, he'd be able to use flame-based soul power…"

Whenever a high-profile member in the Order disappeared, those in the Order thought that he or she was probably killed in a battle… But Warlock knew that the real case was further from the truth.

He had a strong feeling that President Presley somehow managed to subdue the member and killed him or her in cold blood. Especially when those who disappeared tended to be the strong members who had shown some intent to oppose President Presley, whether to overtake his position as the president or question his leadership.

Actually, Juin already knew about this from his talk with Lucifer a while back, but hearing it from Warlock, whom he perceived to be strong, it seemed that the situation was a lot worse than he previously thought.

Warlock nodded. "Thankfully, like everything else, there's a rule to it. The vampires from Alercane can only take the soul power of someone stronger than them. If the other party is weaker than them, their own soul power will engulf the victim's soul power. At most, they would only be able to increase their own soul power reserve from it and wouldn't gain any new elemental power from it."

Juin shivered slightly when he heard about this, but at the same time, he felt a slight relief.

"This is why you must never reveal the true strength of the soul inside of you. And I'm talking about your own soul, not Lucifers."

"Mine?"

"I told you before that your soul is extremely powerful, and as such, your future is extremely bright, and you have the possibility of surpassing that old vampire. And let me say that, it's not an easy job…" Warlock said with a gloomy expression. "Especially now…"

Juin hesitated for a while, and looking at Warlock's covered stump, he asked in a small voice, "Are you stronger than him?"

"Of course!" Warlock growled, but he quickly calmed down. "I was… I don't know what he has been doing in the last few years, but he's been gaining tremendous strength. Right now, we are on par. No, we are only on par if we are fighting barehandedly. Unfortunately, not wanting to be in any group means that I have trouble getting valuable weapons… which can greatly help in boosting one's strength."

And honestly, those weren't the reasons why he came to Earth in the first place, so he had never bothered with those things, focusing solely on looking for the prince that he lost. But he somehow regretted it now after nearly losing his life to President Presley that day.

He thought about the last time he fought with President Presley at Zhangjiajie.

Warlock went there to stop Presley from getting his hands on the unknown creature, hoping to disrupt Presley's plan of gaining more strength, and to his surprise, the unknown creature turned out to be a baby Zheng.

Knowing how rare these creatures were, Warlock fought hard against the others who came for the little one, not wanting it to fall to the fate of a spirit beast.

And Presley was there personally as well, and it was very likely that with his resources, he had already known that the creature that was seen residing at Zhangjiajie was a Zheng.

Thus, at that time, both of them were going after the little creature, unwilling to lose it to the other party. Unknown to Presley, the little beast was actually capable of speech, and after being saved from Presley's attacks by Warlock, the little beast found a tiny window to talk to Warlock.

It was then that Warlock made his decision to protect this highly-intelligent, nearly-extinct creature from being captured by Presley.

The fight between Warlock and Presley even destroyed many of the sky-high pillars that were famous in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, completely disintegrating them into dust.

What he did not expect was that Presley had no qualms of killing his subordinate just to hurt Warlock. Thankfully, Warlock had expected that it would not be easy, and so, he had secretly opened up a portal for the little creature, who was running from its pursuers in the forest beneath him, to escape, sending it directly to one of his rarely-used abodes near St. Xavier Private High School.

Unfortunately, when he tried to create the portal spell in his Soul Dimension while fending off the other members, he failed to see the small portal that opened up behind him in less than a split second.

And by the time he noticed it, he had no time to lose. If he tried to escape by conjuring up a new spell, the few seconds he used to create the portal would be waste, and those pursuers were very near the little creature by now.

In the end, Warlock chose to sacrifice his arm. He moved his body slightly, avoiding the red flaming arrow that came out from the portal, which pierced through the hostage's abdomen and hit his arm, disintegrating both within seconds.

To prevent himself from being further disintegrated, Warlock cut off his left arm near the shoulder, just before the burning, corrosive flames reached it.
