Warlock sighed at the memory, secretly scolding himself for caring too much about the little creature. But then he consoled himself again, telling himself that he was saving humanity by preventing Presley from gaining strength too quickly.

And knowing that the little creature had heeded his advice and was now safely with Juin, he sighed in relief. At the very least, until Juin was strong enough to deal with the dangers by himself, that little creature would be there to protect him.

He had never mentioned this to Lucifer and Juin, but it seemed that when he crossed over, he was either too strong for this world or he was being punished for bringing the soul of Hades over. Not only did he suffer a backlash, and that his powers were halved, but it was also harder for him to gain strength.

Thus, he would only be able to protect Juin up until a certain point. The boy had to grow stronger quicker, and smarter, if he wanted to escape his destiny.

"By the way, that Cyrus kid you talked about earlier, how's he?"

When Juin told Warlock about the events that transpired the last few days, he edited some parts about Cyrus. He did not tell Warlock Cyrus' true identity, merely saying that a young orphaned beast somehow broke into the alternate dimension that Juin was trapped in and saved him.

And because of that, he decided to take him back to Mrs. Martin so that the little fellow would not have to wander around pitifully.

"He's doing well… somewhat. Maybe because he's a beast, he has trouble following human rules, like peeing in the toilet instead of at the bush, but he's been doing well. I think give it a few more weeks, and he would be like a normal human boy."

Warlock raised a brow, and when Juin finished talking, he said, "If you're going to lie about his identity, don't say that he's just a 'young orphaned beast'. Not every beast can break through a manmade alternate dimension."

"Oops…" Juin scratched the back of his head awkwardly.

"But I don't care what he is, so you don't have to tell me. If someone asked, just say that you don't know since he came to you in his human form."

"Yes, Mr. Warlock…" Juin nodded with a serious expression as he silently scolded himself for thinking that he could easily trick someone like Warlock, who was more knowledgeable than him. But at least, he was thankful that Warlock told him about how to handle future questions about Cyrus.

"Can I assume that you're going to bring the kid with you when you go to the headquarters?" Warlock asked.

Juin nodded. "I was going to leave him at Mrs. Martin's place so that he can live a normal life and that he can protect Mrs. Martin, Wesley, and the rest of the kids in the house as well… But Mr… I mean, someone told me that it's better to take him with me in case some bad people try to kidnap Cyrus… Even though Cyrus is a lot stronger than me, that person said that Cyrus is still too young and ignorant of Earth matter, so it's best for him to stay with me in case he reveals the supernatural world to the normal humans."

Hearing him, Warlock nodded. Clearly, he knew that the "someone" was Mr. Thompson.

"Alright then…" Warlock said. "It's a good idea to have him with you. At the very least, the rest of the young members of the Order will think twice before attempting to kill you."

"What?" Juin gasped. "Why would they want to kill me?"

"You defeated Luca Rockefeller and Taka Nakamura, two of the strongest competitors for this year's Battle, AND you are personally recruited by the old bloodsucker, so I'm 100% sure that the other young members will want to challenge you… And death is possible in this kind of challenge…" Warlock said with an indifferent expression, as if he could care less what happened to Juin.

Hearing Warlock's words, Juin could only sigh. He had already made his decision known to Presley, so there was no backing out.

Besides, even though he had yet to sign the contract, but everyone had already known that he was going to join the Order. Backing out now might raise suspicions, and it might cause President Presley to suspect if Juin had known something about him… especially since Warlock was seen by so many people saving him.

"So, are you ready to leave?" Warlock suddenly asked, his expression softened slightly at the thought of being separated from Juin again. Even though Juin was not his son, Warlock had often thought of himself as Juin's father, so he could not help but worry about the teenager.

Juin was looking at Wesley, who was still deeply asleep, when Warlock asked that question. He then hesitated for a while before nodding. "I was thinking of delaying it for another week, but given how the Dark Night Clan has decided to make a move on me, I don't want to drag on any longer. I'll tell Presley to pick me up the day after tomorrow. Regardless of whether the place has been set up for me, I don't want to put Mrs. Martin and the guys in anymore unnecessary danger."

Hearing Juin, Warlock could not help but smile a little. Compared to when he first saw Juin, the teenager did grow up a lot, and fast, and that was in many aspects. In terms of vertical growth, he was sure that Juin had put on another two cms since he last saw him, and he was no longer as skinny as before as well.

"I'll look after them, so you can just go ahead and focus on your training…" Warlock said with a gentle smile. He then looked at Lucifer, who was still meditating, and said to Juin, "And take care of that guy too… He's strong, but arrogant and rash. Perhaps with a little of your ability to slow down and think more, the two of you will be a great pair."

Juin nodded. "That goes without saying…"
