They walked for about 10 minutes more before arriving at the Moon Pavilion. When they were few steps away, the guard turned around, and with the markings on his body glowing in green, he said proudly, "We are here, sir, the Moon Pavilion!"

Even without the guards mentioning it, Juin could already tell why they called this place the Moon Pavilion.

A pavilion with two openings that were made of white marbles and had light blue linings sat in the middle of the garden. And attached to it, there were also two small marble bridges, one on the two openings of the marble pavilion. And these bridges were necessary as the pavilion was seated in the middle of a medium-sized pond that was attached to a small stream with the whitest stones lining its side.

Most importantly, perched high above the sky, a bright, round moon sat quietly while illuminating the beds of flowers that surrounded the pond and the pavilion.

Swoosh~

The differently colored flowers with a magnitude of shades were swaying slightly as the wind blew past them.

"Huh, wind?" Juin gasped out loud. He then looked around, and a realization set in. "All these aren't real…"

This was the first time he felt "naturally-occurring" wind since his arrival.

The guard smiled and nodded. "Yes, everything other than the flowers, the pond, and the pavilion is just an illusion. A beautiful illusion…"

He then bowed at Juin respectfully before saying, "I should take my leave, sir. If you need anything, please head back the same way…"

"Wait, you're just going to leave me here?" Juin asked in surprise. "You're not worried that I would wander around after you left?"

"The king said that the guests from the Order are free to roam about. After all, all places that are prohibited to random strangers are thoroughly protected by guards and wards. Hence, there is no reason to worry." The guard then bowed before leaving Juin alone.

After the guard left, Juin slowly walked toward the pavilion. Just as he was about to step onto the flowers, to his astonishment, the flowers that fully covered the ground squeezed together and revealed a path.

"Wow…" he mumbled to himself. "A world where people don't have to hide their powers and can use wards and spells freely is way better than I thought…"

"Di doo doo, di doo doo…"

A sudden childish voice caused him to come to a halt as he looked around in surprise, hoping to find the person who was singing the lullaby. However, he did not see anyone.

"Are my ears playing tricks on me?" he thought, c.o.c.king his head slightly. He then shook his head and told himself that he had heard wrongly. Yet when he took another step, he saw another a small figure crouched by the stream.

"Di doo doo, di doo doo…"

Juin narrowed his eyes as he stared at the small figure who had just appeared out of nowhere. "A boy…?" he thought to himself as he looked at the well-dressed kid. From his attire, the kid seemed to be a noble. "Hey, kid…" he called out as he took a step toward him.

The kid shivered, as if he was truly startled by it, and he slowly stood up before turning around, revealing a cute little face that was trying to appear stern.

"Who are you, and what are you doing here?" the kid asked as he placed his hands behind his back, making him look older than his age. "And you can see me?"

The kid seemed to blur in front of him, and Juin could not see the kid's features clearly. Juin blinked a couple of times and rubbed his eyes as he replied, "I'm Juin… And why can't I see you?"

When he looked at the kid again, the kid's features became clearer, but something was wrong… Yet he could not seem to register what was wrong about it. It was a feeling within him, telling him that something was wrong with the kid.

"Juin, get away from that kid," Lucifer's voice suddenly appeared in Juin's head, and it was filled with a warning tone, causing Juin to suddenly become alert.

"What are you doing here?"

This time, it was a female voice who asked that question; one that was both gentle and authoritative.

Juin quickly turned around, and he saw Princess Cecile standing at the entrance of the garden with a disapproving look on her face.

"I…" Juin glanced back, and when he saw that the kid earlier had disappeared, he immediately took a few steps back from where he was out of fright, and accidentally bumped his head against one of the pillars of the marble pavilion before falling onto the water on his backside.

Splash!

"Darn…" Juin sighed as he quickly stood up and looked at his drenched clothes.

There was a moment of silence before a soft chuckle could be heard. "Are you alright?"

With a few droplets of water slowly trickling down from his face, Juin slowly looked up, and he found himself staring into the most beautiful blue eyes that he had ever seen before. She seemed to have jumped over from afar when Juin fell, landing on the bridge of the pavilion. At that moment, the moon seemed to have directly shined on the beautiful princess, making her look like a Moon Goddess.

For a few seconds, Juin was completely stunned as he stared at her, until she waved her hand in front of him.

When she saw the dumb expression on Juin's face, she could not help but get worried about him. With a slight frown that did nothing to hide her beauty, she asked with a worried tone, "Hey, are you alright? That knock didn't seem that hard… but it looks like you are confused..."

Juin blinked rapidly. He then shook his head before covering his quickly reddening face with his hand as he mumbled, "I-I'm fine…"

He then dragged himself out of the pond.

Do you need a change of clothes?" Princess Cecile asked as she jumped down from the bridge and met him on the bed of flowers. "I can ask the servants to bring it to you…"

"Ah, there's no need for that," Juin said as he quickly stopped her before she could signal her servant, a young girl who was waiting at the entrance of the garden. "I mean, thank you, Your Highness, but I can handle this myself."
