And so, in less than 10 minutes, Juin managed to get into the final round.

This time, when he left the battle stage, Juin had to take a longer route to avoid the angry mob. Obviously, his little secret arrangement with Wolfe had angered a lot of people. Even if they did not know that it was an arrangement, that did not make them feel any better. After all, for a lot of them, they had placed a lot of money on the players.

When they were safe in the carriage, Juin glanced at Cyrus, who was giggling to himself, and asked, "What are you giggling for?"

"Remember the guy we saw who was bullying that little girl?" Cyrus asked. He then smirked and said, "He lost badly in the bets. And he's looking for Saville now!"

"Oh yeah, where's Saville?" Juin wondered. "I didn't see him earlier."

Tucker, who was sitting opposite these two, said, "He's probably sulking at his abode. Losing to Luca is one thing, losing to you is a completely different matter. I'm sure no one could have foreseen that… Well, except Luca. Lann told me earlier that Luca was extremely excited when he heard that you are advancing to the final round."

Somehow, the last statement gave Juin a shiver, and he quickly said, "I need more rest… And food… And emergency last-minute training!"

A few hours later, they were back at the arena once again. Juin thought that a lot of people would give up watching the fights, especially since they lost so much money in gambling, but to his surprise, there seemed to be even more people at the arena.

"Soon… We will be able to take our revenge…" said a deep, gruff voice.

"Shhh! Don't let anyone hear you!" said another higher-pitched voice.

Juin was pushing through the crowd behind Cyrus when he heard the conversation that stopped him in his tracks. He was immediately reminded of the coup that Princess Cecile was planning.

turned around and tried to look through the crowd for the person who said those words, but there were too many people for him to pinpoint the suspect.

"Juin? What are you waiting for?" Tucker said. When he realized that Juin was gone, he quickly backtracked to find him.

Juin shook his head and quickly walked into the arena. "Wow…" he gasped when he saw the inside of the arena. It looked like a new arena, with not even a scratch to be seen on the battle stage. "How did they manage to do this in a few hours?" Juin mumbled.

He then looked at Cyrus and they both said in unison, "Spells!"

"I know…" Juin smirked. "Sorry for asking the dumb question, but the human mind of me hasn't caught up with the supernatural world yet."

"But still…" He looked around. Unlike before, where there was barely any decor saved for the hanging banners of the royal family, now, the whole place was decorated with various colorful banners of the noble families, with a huge 10 m tall royal family banner hanging on the wall where the royal family was sitting on top.

According to Tucker, the Atlanteans believed that the people of Atlantis were all descendants of mermaids, and the Arconians believed that the members of the royal family were the direct descendants of Poseidon, the rumored son of the sea god.

"Is that the Arcon-Water Bead?" Juin asked, looking down from the spectator seats. Since the battle had not started yet, the three of them decided to just chill around and observe a little.

Tucker glanced down and nodded. "The Arcon-Water Bead was one of the items used by the First King of Arconia when he was building this kingdom. While it was no longer of any use, it was still a much-respected relic."

"But the king is giving it away to the winner…"

"The Water Bead is no longer useful for them, but it would be great if you can win it. You are a flame user, and there might be a time when you might face off against an ice or water user who might be a hundred times more powerful than Saville… No, I believe that you will. If you continue to search for strength and more power, meeting opponents who are inherently stronger than you will definitely happen. In those situations, having more magical items on you, items that could help you wield powers that you would otherwise be unable to wield, would be extremely helpful."

As he listened to Tucker, Juin could not help but nod periodically. Even though Tucker had barely mentioned his past, but from how others treated him with respect despite his lack of politically correct statements and behaviors at times, Juin knew that his teacher was someone who was quite experienced and had been through a lot to know what he was talking about.

Even so, he could not help but ask, "Have you met someone who was stronger than you before?"

"Of course…" Tucker said, before subconsciously touching his abdomen. He then quickly put his hand away and said, "It's just a rite of passage for everyone."

Juin nodded. He then looked around and noticed Luca, who was sitting in another seating zone with Lann. "Wind and fire… We both should be negatively affected in the same way, right?"

When Juin turned, he saw a beautiful woman making her way toward him with two guards in tow.
