They were at Michy's penthouse, sitting on the couches in the grande living room. There were several couches there, and no one was sitting together on one couch.
Three people were sitting on a couch each, and the three people's relationship could be said as bad because they didn't want to sit together.
Azren was the one who suggested they continue their talk in the idol's residence. The idol hastily disagreed with his idea to bring Elias to live with them, but Azren managed to persuade the idol to invite the golden-eyed man to the penthouse and had a talk together.
Indeed. Azren had changed a lot ever since he got the mission in the human world. Not only did he dare to disobey Michy's order sometimes, but he even dared to step on Michy and make a decision.
Michy was there in the car when Azren suddenly suggested Elias live in the penthouse, but the emerald-eyed man still dared to make that kind of decision. That one demon really got into the human's nerves.
Nonetheless, the blue-eyed idol still agreed with Azren's suggestion to continue talking in the penthouse. He was tired, and sitting in the car for a long time exhausted him even more. Thus, he had no choice other than to let the man named Elias come to his residence.
Michy had let Elias enter his residence, but his face wasn't welcoming at all. He didn't even want to glance at the man even just for a second.
Azren, trying to be the good assistant, immediately ran to the kitchen to bring some drinks for Michy.
The idol was exhausted, and he was no different. Thus, he quickly grabbed three bottles of isotonic drinks from the fridge and went back to the living room again.
He was in a hurry because he was worried that Michy would mutilate Elias when he was not there with the two humans.
Arriving at the living room once again, Azren handed over one of the bottles to Michy before putting the other two bottles on the coffee table.
Michy glared at the green-eyed man, but he still opened the bottle cap and let the liquid moisten his dry throat.
After drinking enough, the idol put the bottle on the coffee table before crossing his arms in front of his chest.
He glared again at Azren, and the latter didn't even dare to drink his bottle of isotonic water.
The cold gaze made him squirm, but Azren still managed to utter a question, "Why don't you let Elias live here too, Michy?"
The blonde assistant dared himself to question the boss' decision once again.
Michy didn't verbally tell him that he disagreed with his proposal to let Elias live in the penthouse, but from the idol's cold gesture, he could tell that the idol wouldn't agree with his suggestion.
His boldness was rewarded by another glare from Michy. "Do you think I should build a shelter for homeless people out there? I let you live here because you are practically my dog, so why should I adopt another dog?"
'I'm Michy's dog?' Azren wondered inwardly upon hearing the idol's weird statement.
He could feel his cheek warmer, but should he feel shy just because Michy saw him like a dog? It was not just a dog, though. It was Michy's dog.
That was such a crazy thought, and Azren immediately told himself to remove the thought. It wasn't the time to get flustered because Michy just insulted him.
"But I feel bad for him, Michy," Azren argued again. "I hit him by accident, and I even hurt his hand. He didn't even want us to take him to the hospital, so we should take the responsibility another way, right?"
"We?" The idol immediately responded. "It's you who hit him earlier, so you're the one who should be responsible for him, not me!"
The two people were arguing in front of him, but Elias remained calm in his position. He could even smile when the two people were busy bickering because of him.
Azren noticed the weird expression on Elias' face, and he couldn't help but grumble, 'Does he have anything he can do besides smiling like an idiot?'
Even when the two people were busy arguing, Elias could act as nothing happened. That kind of attitude made Azren wonder.
Azren was fighting for his wellbeing, but the man was only enjoying the show as if it was a soap opera.
"I don't have a home, Michy. And I don't have money as well. How am I supposed to take responsibility when I have nothing with me? And I don't have money because you don't pay me," Azren spoke to the idol again, this time in a weaker tone. He deliberately acted like a bullied person to persuade the idol.
Talking about money seemed to offend the blue-eyed idol, and the idol looked like he was going to argue if Elias didn't speak first.
"Wait. Azren is working for Michy without paying? That's against the law, right? It will be bad for your career, Michy."
The silver-haired idol shifted his gaze from Azren to Elias upon hearing the man's statement. Not only shifting his gaze, but the idol glared at the man as well.
His career had been ruined, and he knew so well about how he was going against the rule for not paying someone who was working for him.
Michy knew about that, and he didn't need Elias to remind him about that.
"That's my idea," Azren chimed in to defend the blue-eyed idol. "I need a place to stay, so I told Michy not to give me a salary for my work. It's not Michy's fault."
The green-eyed man gave a further explanation, and the other man finally nodded in understanding.
"I think that's not a bad idea," Elias voiced out his thought. "And maybe we can do that too for my case."
The last sentence that came out of the man's lips was not clear, and Azren frowned at the man as he asked, "What do you mean?"
The other man smiled again as if he finally got the upper hand in the battle. "I can work for Michy too, and he doesn't have to give me a salary too. In return, he can let me live with him here."
Azren's mouth gaped upon hearing Elias' casual statement. He had been fighting for Elias' sake, but the man was going to steal his position as the idol's assistant?
Elias didn't say it directly, but Azren wasn't stupid to understand the meaning behind the man's words.
The blonde demon was about to argue, but the idol was faster than him.
"I already have an assistant, so I don't need another assistant."
